Max cashout rules on casino bonuses

Max cashout rules set the most you can withdraw from play that used a bonus, no matter how much your balance grows. Anything above the cap is removed when you cash out. A $100 limit on a free chip, or $1,000 on a welcome match, can turn a big win into a small payout, so the cap is the first clause to find.

Key takeaways

  • A max cashout caps what you can withdraw from bonus play; the excess is removed, not saved for later.
  • Caps come in three shapes: a fixed dollar amount, a multiple of your deposit, or a multiple of the bonus.
  • No-deposit chips almost always have one: Silver Oak's own page says $100; SlotoCash's terms say $200 for free bonuses.
  • A max cashout is not the same as a weekly withdrawal limit, which delays money rather than deleting it.
  • Partners are offshore and unlicensed by any US state, so there is no regulator to review how a cap was applied.

What max cashout rules mean on a casino bonus

Also called a maximum withdrawal or win cap, a max cashout is the ceiling on what you can take out after playing with bonus funds. If you finish the wagering with a $1,400 balance and the cap is $1,000, the casino pays $1,000 and voids the other $400. Our max cashout glossary entry gives the short definition.

Casinos use these caps to limit their exposure on promotions, especially those that cost the player nothing up front. You meet max cashout rules most often on no deposit bonuses and free spins, but some deposit matches carry them too. Our casino bonuses guide lists the other bonus types where you will meet them.

In most terms, the cap sits right next to the playthrough clause. You meet the bonus wagering requirements first, and only then does the cap decide how much of the result is yours to withdraw.

Three types of max cashout rules

Offshore casinos word their caps in different ways. Knowing the three common forms helps you spot them quickly:

Common max cashout formats
TypeHow it is writtenExample from partner termsSource type
Fixed dollar cap"Max cashout $100"Silver Oak no-deposit codes: $100Casino's page
Range on free bonuses"Min $25, max $200"SlotoCash free bonusesCasino's terms
Multiple of deposit"10x deposit amount"Royal Ace welcome matchThird-party (LCB)
Multiple of bonus"10x max cash-out"Slot Madness PROGRESSIVE100 codeThird-party (esports.gg)
Fixed cap on a match"Max cashout $1,000"Planet 7 WELCOME200Third-party (LCB)
No cap"No max cashout"SlotoCash welcome series; Silver Oak welcomeCasino's pages

A deposit-multiple cap grows with what you put in: 10x on a $30 deposit is $300, and 10x on $200 is $2,000. A fixed cap stays put, so it bites hardest on large deposits and lucky runs.

Max cashout vs weekly withdrawal limits

These two rules are often confused, and the difference matters. The cashout cap deletes money above it. A withdrawal limit only controls how fast you receive money you are owed.

Silver Oak's terms add a twist: the monthly limit is $5,000 if your balance is at least 10 times your total deposits, and $10,000 otherwise, with weekly payouts starting at $2,500. Planet 7 is reported at $2,500 a week by third-party reviewers. Our guide to weekly withdrawal limits explains how installments stack up.

Max cashout rules at our partner casinos

Here are the max cashout rules each partner publishes, or is reported to use, on its main offers. "Casino's page" means we read it on the casino's own site; "third-party" means a review site lists it and the casino may differ.

Silver Oak's no-deposit page (opens in a new tab) lists the $100 cap, and its terms describe the rule as 1x the bonus with a $100 minimum. SlotoCash's bonus terms (opens in a new tab) carry the $25 to $200 range for free bonuses. Planet 7's $1,000 figure comes from LCB's Planet 7 listing (opens in a new tab), not the casino itself, so confirm it at sign-up.

Decode shows a "$111 Free Chip" on its homepage but publishes no visible terms for it, so its cap is not published. Treat any figure you see for it as unconfirmed until the casino shows it to you.

Max cashout examples in dollars

Planet 7 welcome match with a $1,000 cap

Deposit $100 with a 200% match and you play with $300. At the listed 30x on bonus plus deposit, you need $9,000 of slot bets. Suppose you finish with $2,400. Under a $1,000 max cashout, about $1,400 is removed. The listing doesn't say whether the cap counts your own deposit, so ask before you play.

Silver Oak $100 free chip

FREESILVER gives $100 with 30x playthrough on the casino's page, or $3,000 of bets if it applies to the chip alone. Finish with $460 and the cap pays $100; $360 is voided. Finish with $60 and you can't reach a payout at all, because the cap is also the minimum.

Royal Ace deposit-multiple cap

A 10x-deposit cap pays at most $300 on a $30 deposit, $500 on $50 and $2,000 on $200. Bigger deposits raise the ceiling, but they also raise the amount you can lose, which is why the cap should never be a reason to deposit more.

SlotoCash with no cap but a weekly limit

SlotoCash's welcome terms say there is no max cashout. A balance of $8,000 would still arrive in pieces: $5,000 in the first week under its stated weekly limit, then $3,000 later. Nothing is removed; it just takes longer. See the SlotoCash withdrawals page for methods and fees.

Miami Club's no-deposit cap: two figures in its own terms

Miami Club shows why the cap clause deserves a second look. Its bonus terms set 40x wagering on no-deposit bonuses and cap the payout at 5x the bonus, while section 3.2 of its Terms of Use caps the same payout at $150. On its monthly MIFREE20 chip, those two rules give different answers.

Finish MIFREE20's wagering with $180 and you'd be paid $100 or $150 depending on which clause support applies, and only after a $25 deposit. Ask which figure governs before you play and save the answer. Miami Club's deposit bonuses carry no stated cap, which is why its welcome match works differently from its free chip.

Miami Club is a live partner. Its Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, but the casino's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm eligibility at sign-up. Our Miami Club no deposit bonus page, the is Miami Club legit answer and the best no deposit bonus casinos list go further.

Why free chips and no-deposit bonuses carry the tightest caps

A free chip costs you nothing to claim, so the casino limits the upside instead. Caps of $100 to $200 on chips worth $25 to $100 are typical of the partner terms above. A $100 free chip with a $100 cap can at best return the face value, after wagering thousands of dollars.

That still makes a free chip a reasonable way to look at a casino's software without a deposit, as long as you treat it as entertainment. Our page on free chips explains the other rules usually attached, such as a deposit requirement before the first withdrawal.

Casinos often treat several no-deposit bonuses in a row as a problem. SlotoCash's terms say consecutive free bonuses may void bonuses and winnings.

How to find the max cashout before you claim

  1. Open the specific promotion's terms, not just the banner; caps are usually in the small print under the code.
  2. Search the general bonus terms for "max cashout", "maximum withdrawal", "win cap" and "x deposit".
  3. Check whether the cap includes your deposit or applies only to winnings above it.
  4. Ask live chat to confirm the cap for your exact code and save the transcript.
  5. Compare the cap with the total wagering; if you must bet $9,000 to withdraw at most $1,000, decide whether that trade suits you.
  6. If no cap is published, ask for it in writing rather than assuming there is none.

Our guide on how to read casino terms lists other clauses worth searching for at the same time.

How a win cap changes what a bonus is worth

A bonus has positive value only in the unusual sessions that end well ahead. Max cashout rules cut off exactly those sessions. The average outcome of a capped bonus is therefore worse than an uncapped one with the same wagering, even though most sessions never reach the cap.

In plain terms: the cap doesn't change what you are likely to lose, but it does shrink what you could win. Our expected value of a bonus guide shows the arithmetic, and the max cashout explainer has extra examples.

Max cashout red flags and conflicting terms

  • A cap only mentioned in chat or emails, not in the written terms.
  • Caps on deposit bonuses that are lower than the deposit itself.
  • Different figures on different pages, as with Silver Oak's 30x on its offer page and 40x in its terms; the same can happen with caps.
  • Caps that apply to progressive jackpot wins, which can make a jackpot almost worthless under a bonus.
  • Third-party listings that disagree, as with Slot Madness, where LCB says no cap and casino.guru calls the match "unlimited" without a stated limit.

Our bonus terms red flags checklist covers the wider set of warning signs.

None of our partners is licensed or regulated by any US state. If a casino removes money under a cap you think was misapplied, you can only use its own complaint process and third-party complaint sites; there is no state regulator to rule on it. That is a major difference from the seven states that license online casinos, explained in our guide to offshore casino legality.

Practical steps for a dispute are in our guide to casino ADR and complaints. Keep copies of the terms as they were when you opted in.

Partner offers and their published cashout caps

The partners below were chosen because their cashout caps are published or reported. They are offshore casinos that no US state licenses, so check the law in your state before you sign up. Offers are for new players, 21+ (18+ where allowed), and terms apply.

  • Decode Casino: $5,000 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Third-party listings report 35x (bonus + deposit), a $25 minimum and no max cashout on EASY25CODE, and a $200 cap on its no-deposit spins; Decode's own site shows no terms.
  • Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). The casino's new-member offer page (opens in a new tab) says its welcome match has no max withdrawal and its no-deposit codes cap at $100; wagering is 30x on the offer page but 40x in the terms, and deposits start at $30.
  • Planet 7 Casino: $2,750 Welcome Bonus + 45 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Third-party listings report 30x (bonus + deposit) on slots and a $1,000 max cashout on WELCOME200, with a $30 card minimum.

Each casino's own site may advertise a different package from our link, and the terms you see at sign-up are the ones that apply. Michigan's Gaming Control Board named Silver Oak and Planet 7 in an April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release (opens in a new tab) as illegal offshore operators. Full details are in our Decode review, Silver Oak review and Planet 7 review. The house edge means losses are the likely outcome over time.

Frequently asked questions

What does max cashout mean at an online casino?

It is the most you can withdraw from play that used a particular bonus. If your balance is higher when you request a payout, the casino removes the excess. Silver Oak's no-deposit codes, for example, cap withdrawals at $100 on the casino's own page. See our no deposit bonus guide for how these caps fit with other free-chip rules.

Does max cashout include my deposit?

It depends on the wording, and many terms don't say. Some caps apply to the whole withdrawal, others to winnings above your deposit. Third-party listings for Planet 7's $1,000 cap, for example, don't clarify it. Ask support for a written answer before you play, and read our guide on how to read casino terms.

Is a max cashout the same as a withdrawal limit?

No. The bonus cap deletes money above it, while a withdrawal limit spreads payouts over time. SlotoCash's terms, for example, set no max cashout on its welcome series but limit withdrawals to $5,000 a week. Our page on withdrawal limits explains the second kind in detail.

Can I avoid max cashout rules?

Yes, by not taking the bonus. Real-money deposits played without a bonus are normally subject only to the casino's general withdrawal limits and KYC checks. Never try to dodge a cap with extra accounts or someone else's details; that breaks the terms and can cost you everything. Compare your options in bonus vs no bonus.

Which partner welcome bonuses have no max cashout?

SlotoCash and Silver Oak say so on their own pages for their welcome offers, and third-party listings report no cap on Decode's EASY25CODE and Slot Madness's MAD275. Offers change and our link's package may differ, so confirm at sign-up. Read the SlotoCash welcome bonus page for that casino's full terms.

What happens to bonus winnings above the max cashout?

They are removed from your balance when the bonus is completed or when you withdraw, depending on the casino's process. They don't carry over to a later withdrawal. If you think a casino removed too much, ask for the calculation in writing and follow our guide to filing a casino complaint.

Do free spins have a max cashout?

Usually, yes. Decode's no-deposit RTG50GRANDE spins are listed by LCB with a $200 cap and 40x wagering, and spin offers at other casinos often carry similar limits. The cap applies to what the spins win after wagering. Our free spins winnings page walks through an example.

Do progressive jackpots count under a max cashout?

They can, which is one reason many casinos exclude progressive jackpot slots from bonus play. SlotoCash's welcome terms exclude progressive jackpot slots, and Slot Madness's PROGRESSIVE100 code is reported with a 10x max cashout. Read the terms before playing a jackpot with bonus funds; our progressive jackpots explained guide covers how these prizes work.

What is the max cashout on Planet 7's $25 free chip?

Third-party reviews report a $100 maximum withdrawal on Planet 7's $25 free chip, listed under the code 25FREECHIP. The same listing gives 30x wagering on slots and 60x on table games and video poker, with baccarat, roulette and craps not counting at all. At 30x the chip alone, that's $750 in slot bets to withdraw at most $100. Planet 7's own site wasn't the source, and another review lists a different code, so confirm in the cashier. Our Planet 7 no deposit bonus page has the full picture.

How is a 10x max cashout calculated?

A 10x max cashout multiplies either your deposit or your bonus by ten, and the terms should say which one. Royal Ace's welcome cap is reported as 10x the deposit, so $100 in caps withdrawals at $1,000. Slot Madness's PROGRESSIVE100 code is reported with a 10x cap on deposits of $30 to $1,000, without a stated basis; on a $100 deposit with the 100% match, that's $1,000 either way. When the basis differs, the gap can be large. Our max cashout explainer covers more variations.

Does Decode's $111 free chip have a max cashout?

Decode doesn't publish one: its homepage advertises a $111 free chip and crypto bonus but shows no terms. Third-party reviews do list a $200 cap and 40x wagering on its RTG50GRANDE no-deposit spins, which hints at how its free offers are priced, but that figure isn't for the chip. Ask live chat for the cap in writing before playing, and keep the reply. Third-party reports also say Decode refuses players in Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington. See our Decode no deposit bonus page.

Is Silver Oak's $100 free chip worth claiming with a $100 cap?

It can be worth it as a no-cost look at the casino, but don't expect to profit. Silver Oak's terms say the no-deposit cap is 1x the bonus with a $100 minimum, so FREESILVER's best result is $100. At 30x on the chip, you'd bet $3,000 on slots first, and at an illustrative 4% edge that costs $120 on average, more than the chip. Blackjack and video poker carry 60x. Claim it for the play, not the payout. Our Silver Oak no deposit bonus page lists all three codes.

Do I pay tax on winnings removed by a max cashout?

Money voided under a cap is never paid to you, so the figure that matters for tax is what you actually win and withdraw. Gambling winnings are taxable federal income, whether or not the casino is offshore or sends you a form. The IRS reporting threshold for slot winnings is $2,000 for 2026, and from the 2026 tax year the loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses, so check IRS guidance. Keep records of each bonus, cap and payout. Our gambling taxes guide explains the basics.

Are offshore casino bonuses with max cashout rules legal in New York?

No online casino is licensed in New York, so any capped bonus there comes from an unlicensed site. The New York State Gaming Commission says online casinos, including ones that claim to be sweepstakes, are unlawful in the state, and New York's sweepstakes ban (S5935-A) took effect on December 5, 2025. Legal online wagering there is limited to licensed sports betting and a few other forms. Third-party reports say Decode refuses New York players. Read our New York gambling laws page for the details.
