A casino reload bonus is extra bonus money a casino adds when an existing player makes another deposit, usually as a percentage match with a code. It looks generous, but the wagering attached decides its real value, and on many reloads the expected cost of clearing it is larger than the bonus itself.

What is a casino reload bonus?
A casino reload bonus is a match bonus offered on a deposit after your first one. If a casino advertises “50% up to $500” and you deposit $200, it adds $100 in bonus funds. That bonus then carries a wagering requirement you must meet before any of it, or anything you win with it, can be withdrawn.
Reloads exist because the welcome bonus is a one-time hook. Once that is used, casinos keep players depositing with rotating codes: weekday reloads, weekend reloads, game-launch promos, birthday deals and VIP matches. The glossary entry for reload bonus gives the short definition, our casino bonuses hub covers every other type, and this page covers the money side.
The honest summary: a reload is extra balance, not cash you can walk away with. It comes with conditions, and the house edge keeps working the whole time you play through those conditions.
Read the promotion terms first: match percentage, cap, minimum deposit, wagering multiple, eligible games and any max cashout.
Check that you have no pending withdrawal. SlotoCash’s bonus terms say players are not eligible for bonuses while a withdrawal is pending.
Redeem the coupon code in the cashier. SlotoCash’s terms say a coupon must be redeemed before the deposit, or right after it and before any wager.
Make the deposit at or above the stated minimum, which is often $25 to $35 on the coded reloads these casinos publish.
Play only eligible games. Bets on excluded games can void bonus winnings under most terms.
Track your wagering progress until it reaches zero, then request a withdrawal and complete account verification if you haven’t already.
Reload bonus math: what a reload is really worth
The cost of clearing a casino reload bonus is simple to estimate: total wagering × house edge. Total wagering is the multiple times the amount it applies to. When the terms say “deposit + bonus”, both count. For the house edge, the examples below use a slot with a 96.25% RTP, the figure third-party game databases report for RTG’s Sweet 16. That means an edge of 3.75%.

A negative last column means that, on average, a player who completes the wagering ends with less than they deposited. Real sessions swing widely around that average, and on high multiples most attempts run out of balance before the wagering is done. Push the multiple higher and the picture gets worse: a hypothetical 250% reload on $100 at 50x would need 50 × $350 = $17,500 of wagering, with an expected cost of $656.25, larger than the whole $350 balance. That tells you how unlikely a full clear is on heavy terms.
This doesn’t make every reload pointless. It means you should treat a reload as extra playing time on money you had already budgeted to spend, not as a way to come out ahead. Our expected value of a bonus guide walks through the same method for any offer.

Silver Oak’s structure is unusual: its welcome package is itself a run of ten 100% matches, one per deposit, so deposits two to ten work like built-in reloads. Its terms conflict on wagering (30x on the offer page, 40x in the general terms), so check the cashier wording before you deposit.

Which games count when you clear a reload bonus
Reload bonuses are built for slots. SlotoCash’s general bonus terms exclude progressive jackpots, video poker, table games and specialty games by default. Silver Oak’s terms exclude baccarat, craps, roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Sic Bo, War, live dealer games and progressives from bonus play, and set 60x wagering for table games and video poker.
Planet 7’s welcome terms, as reported by a review site, bar Banana Jones and Fish Catch from coupon-funded play, with winnings void if you do. That kind of single-game exclusion is easy to miss, so read the list before you open a new title. Our game weighting page explains how partial contributions stretch the real wagering.
Slots: usually 100% toward wagering.
Keno and scratch cards: often 100% at RTG casinos, but check the offer.
Blackjack and video poker: excluded or a much higher multiple.
Most reload problems come from rules players skimmed. These are the terms that most often turn a win into a voided balance.
Max bet rules. SlotoCash caps bets at $10 per spin while a welcome bonus is active. Breaking a max bet rule is a common reason for voided winnings.
Max cashout caps. Some reloads limit what you can withdraw from bonus play. Planet 7’s welcome offer is reported with a $1,000 max cashout. See max cashout rules.
Very high multiples. Anything at 40x or 50x deposit plus bonus is hard to finish, as the math above shows.
Pending withdrawal rules. Claiming a reload while a withdrawal is pending can be blocked or reverse the withdrawal’s status.
Back-to-back free bonuses. SlotoCash’s terms say consecutive free bonuses may void bonuses and winnings, so make a real deposit between them.
Conflicting pages. When the offer page and the general terms disagree, as with Silver Oak’s 30x and 40x, the stricter one may be applied.
When to take a reload and when to play without one
A reload makes the most sense when the multiple is low (15x to 25x), you play slots anyway, and your deposit is money you already set aside for entertainment. It makes the least sense when you want to withdraw quickly, prefer blackjack or video poker, or the max cashout caps what you could take home.
Playing without a bonus keeps your balance withdrawable at any time, subject to the casino’s normal checks. Silver Oak’s cash-back offer, for example, applies only to deposits made without a bonus, so declining a reload can be the better choice there. The bonus vs no bonus page sets out the trade-off in full.
Never deposit more to qualify for a bigger reload than you planned to spend. Set a deposit limit with support or use the tools listed on our deposit limits page.
Are casino reload bonuses legal in the USA?
A reload bonus is legal or not depending on the casino offering it and your state. In New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island, state-licensed online casinos run their own promotions under state rules. Our partners are not among them.
Everywhere else, no state licenses online casinos, and the casinos offering reload codes to US players are offshore. The federal UIGEA targets payment processing for unlawful internet gambling and defines “unlawful” by reference to state law, as the statute text (opens in a new tab) shows. It does not make placing a bet a federal crime for the player. Your own state’s law is what matters, so read the offshore casino legality guide and your page in our state guides.
Regulators do act against offshore brands. The Michigan Gaming Control Board’s April 9, 2025 release (opens in a new tab) names Silver Oak Casino and Planet 7 Casino among unlicensed operators sent cease-and-desist letters.
Casinos with reload-style offers via our links
The three casinos below are the closest match to this topic among our partners: Decode and Planet 7 run rotating reload codes, as reported by review sites, and Silver Oak spreads its welcome package over ten deposits. All three are offshore casinos and are not licensed or regulated by any US state, so there is no state regulator to complain to and no state protection for your balance. Check your state’s law before you sign up. Players must be 21+ (18+ where allowed) and terms apply.
Decode Casino: $5,000 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Third-party reviews report 25x to 35x wagering on its coded matches and $25 minimum deposits, and its seasonal codes change, so check the cashier; the casino’s own site advertises a $111 free chip and crypto bonus instead.
Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Its own offer page shows a $10,000 package over ten deposits with 30x wagering and no max withdrawal, while its general terms say 40x on slots; deposits start at $30.
Planet 7 Casino: $2,750 Welcome Bonus + 45 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). A review site reports its WELCOME200 code at 30x deposit plus bonus on slots with a $1,000 max cashout and a $30 card minimum.

Frequently asked questions
Who can claim a reload bonus at an online casino?
A reload bonus is a deposit match for players who already have an account. The casino adds a percentage of your new deposit as bonus funds, often with a code, and attaches wagering you must complete before withdrawing. It differs from a welcome bonus only in timing: it rewards later deposits rather than the first one. Our what is a reload bonus answer gives a quick version.
How do I claim a casino reload bonus code?
You usually enter the code in the cashier before you deposit, or immediately after and before your first bet. SlotoCash’s terms state exactly that order. Check that you meet the minimum deposit and have no pending withdrawal, because either can block the bonus. Our step-by-step guide on how to claim a casino bonus covers what to check first.
Is a casino reload bonus worth it in dollar terms?
Sometimes, but rarely in pure dollar terms. On a slot with a 96.25% RTP, every $1,000 you wager costs about $37.50 on average. A $100 bonus at 15x deposit plus bonus on a $200 deposit needs $4,500 in bets, with an expected cost of $168.75. Reloads work best as extra play time on a set budget. See bonus value calculator method.
Can I use a reload bonus on blackjack?
Usually not, or only at a much higher multiple. SlotoCash excludes table games and video poker from bonuses by default, and Silver Oak’s terms set 60x for table games and video poker and exclude roulette, baccarat and craps. Using excluded games can void bonus winnings. If you prefer blackjack, compare offers on our best bonus for blackjack page or play without a bonus.
What is a good wagering requirement for a reload?
Lower is better, and anything at or under 20x deposit plus bonus is on the friendly end for offshore casinos. SlotoCash publishes reloads from 15x to 30x, and Miami Club’s general terms set 20x deposit plus bonus on matches up to 100%. Compare the total dollar amount you’d need to wager, not just the multiple. The low wagering bonus page lists what to look for.
Do reload bonus codes have expiry dates?
Yes, most do. Seasonal codes have fixed end dates, and Decode’s seasonal codes change, so check the cashier for the current one. SlotoCash’s general terms give bonuses 90 days from redemption. Expired codes simply fail in the cashier. Always check the end date and the time limit for finishing wagering. Our bonus expiry page explains both clocks.
Can I withdraw while a reload bonus is active?
Generally no, not without forfeiting the bonus. Withdrawing before wagering is complete usually cancels the bonus and any winnings tied to it, and SlotoCash’s terms add that you can’t claim bonuses while a withdrawal is pending. Finish or cancel the bonus first, then request the payout. Our how to clear a casino bonus guide explains the order of steps.
Are reload bonuses legal for US players?
That depends on your state, not on the bonus itself. State-licensed online casinos exist only in seven states, and our partners are offshore casinos with no US state license. Federal law targets payment processing rather than players, but each state sets its own rules. Check your state in our state guides before you deposit anywhere.
What reload bonus codes does SlotoCash list?
SlotoCash's promotions page lists a rotating set of coded reloads, each with its own minimum and rollover. Examples include SUPERCASTLE (200% plus 100 spins, $100 minimum, 30x), SUPERFRIDAY (99% plus 99 spins, $30, 27x), SLOTOJACKPOT (50% up to $500, $25, 15x), SLOTONOLIMITS (75% with no cap plus 50 spins, $25, 25x) and the crypto code BLOCKFALL-1 (100% plus $50 free, $25, 27x). Codes rotate, so check the cashier before depositing. Our SlotoCash bonus codes page tracks what the casino shows.
Does Miami Club have a daily reload bonus?
Yes, Miami Club's promotions page lists a Daily Deposit Bonus of 20% to 45% and a Daily Reload on the first purchase each day. It also runs a Lucky 7 cashier bonus on the 7th of each month and a Lightning Bitcoin deposit bonus from $5. Its terms set 20x deposit plus bonus on matches of 100% or less, with no expiry until wagering is met. Terms of Use section 1.6 lists the United States as prohibited, while its affiliate program confirms US players are accepted; confirm at sign-up. See our Miami Club bonus codes page.
How often can I claim a casino reload bonus?
It depends on the casino: some reloads are daily, others weekly or tied to dates. Miami Club advertises a reload on the first purchase each day, Silver Oak lists weekly bonus codes, and SlotoCash's VIP tiers include a daily match of 110% to 150% plus 50 spins. Each claim brings its own wagering, so stacking frequent reloads can leave you clearing several requirements in a row. Back-to-back free bonuses can also be voided at SlotoCash. Our daily casino bonus page explains how frequent offers are structured.
What reload bonuses do Silver Oak VIP members get?
Silver Oak's VIP page lists deposit bonuses of 250% to 325% and Bitcoin bonuses of 325% to 400% across its tiers, which are far richer than its standard 100% matches. The tiers run from Silver, an instant upgrade at $500, through Gold, Platinum and Diamond to Elite at $8,000. Members also get appreciation chips of $100 to $700 and monthly cashback of 4% to 35%. Larger matches still carry wagering, so do the math before depositing more. Our Silver Oak VIP program page sets out each level.
Can I claim a reload bonus in Georgia?
Georgia doesn't license online casinos or sports betting, so no reload bonus there comes from a state-regulated casino. The Georgia Lottery is the only legal online option, selling tickets and Diggi online games through a Players Club account to players 18 and over inside the state. A sports betting bill, HB 686, sat in subcommittee in 2026. Offshore reloads come from sites no state licenses. Players in Atlanta, Columbus and Augusta can call the Georgia Crisis and Access Line at 1-800-715-4225. Read our Georgia casino bonuses page.
Is a second deposit bonus the same as a reload?
A second deposit bonus is a type of reload that's usually part of the welcome package, so it often has better terms than later reloads. SlotoCash's second welcome stage, SLOTO2MATCH, is a 200% match plus 50 spins on Egyptian Gold at 25x deposit plus bonus, while its weekday reloads run from 15x to 30x. Silver Oak's SILVEROAK2 is another 100% match, and Miami Club's second purchase is one of eight 100% matches up to $100. Our second deposit bonus page compares them.
