Bitcoin casinos for US players

Bitcoin casinos are online casinos that take deposits and pay withdrawals in BTC, and for US players they are almost always offshore sites that no state licenses. Bitcoin is the one coin all of our partner casinos list, and usually the only crypto they pay out in, but weekly caps, slow approvals and KYC still apply.

Key takeaways

  • Bitcoin is the main crypto payout method at every partner casino we cover; most other coins are deposit-only.
  • Published Bitcoin withdrawal caps sit around $2,500 per request or per week, so large wins are paid in installments.
  • Bitcoin Lightning deposits start at $5 where listed, against $25 to $30 for a standard BTC deposit.
  • Crypto payments generally can’t be reversed, and the coin’s dollar price can move while your money sits in a wallet.
  • These casinos are offshore and not licensed by any US state; check your own state’s law first.

What Bitcoin casinos are and why US players use them

A Bitcoin casino is any online casino whose cashier accepts BTC for deposits and, ideally, sends winnings back in BTC. In the US market the term mostly describes offshore sites that sell casino games to Americans from abroad, because the states that license online casinos generally rely on cards, bank transfers and e-wallets that the state regulator approves.

US players turn to Bitcoin for a practical reason: many American banks block card payments coded as gambling, and an offshore casino card deposit can be declined or treated as a cash advance. Bitcoin moves from your own wallet to the casino’s address without a card network in the middle. That convenience comes with trade-offs this page spells out: no chargebacks, price swings and the same withdrawal caps that apply to other methods.

Every casino on our banking methods hub lists Bitcoin in some form. What differs is the detail: deposit minimums, whether Lightning is accepted, the payout ceiling per request and per week, fees and how long a request sits pending. Those numbers decide whether Bitcoin actually suits your play.

Paying in Bitcoin doesn’t change the legal status of the casino. Real-money online casinos are licensed only in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and Maine’s tribal online casino law had not produced a live site by October 2026. Offshore Bitcoin casinos are not licensed by any of those states or by any other US state.

At the federal level, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act bars gambling businesses from knowingly accepting cards, electronic transfers, checks and other designated payments in connection with unlawful internet gambling. The payment prohibition in 31 U.S.C. § 5363 (opens in a new tab) is aimed at the business, not the person placing the bet, and whether a bet is unlawful depends on state law. Our page on offshore casino legality walks through what each state says.

State regulators do act against offshore sites. The Michigan Gaming Control Board’s April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release (opens in a new tab) named Silver Oak and Planet 7, later letters named Miami Club and Slot Madness (August 14, 2025) and SlotoCash (October 8, 2026), and the board calls these illegal offshore operators. See online casinos in Michigan for the state’s full position.

Using Bitcoin gives you no extra legal cover and no state protection. If a dispute arises, there is no US regulator to complain to and no state-backed safeguard for your balance.

Bitcoin casino deposit minimums and fees compared

The table below shows each partner’s Bitcoin deposit terms as published, with where the figure comes from. Primary means the casino’s own banking page; third-party means review sites report it, so confirm in the cashier before you send coins.

Silver Oak stands out for its ceiling: its banking page lists BTC deposits from $30 up to $100,000 with no fee, while its card deposits run $30 to $1,000 with a 3–10% fee. SlotoCash publishes the clearest timing, saying BTC deposits land from instantly to 20 minutes. For the low-stake end, see our list of $5 deposit casinos.

Your own wallet or exchange may also charge a network or withdrawal fee to send BTC. That cost isn’t set by the casino, so check it in your wallet before you confirm the transfer.

Bitcoin Lightning: $5 deposits at some casinos

Lightning is a payment layer built on top of Bitcoin for small, quick transfers. You need a wallet that supports it, and the casino has to offer a separate Lightning option in its cashier. Where it’s listed, it brings the minimum down to $5.

SlotoCash lists Lightning at $5 on its own banking page. Third-party reviews report the same $5 Lightning minimum at Decode, Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. None of these casinos publishes a Lightning withdrawal option in the material available, so plan on cashing out through standard Bitcoin.

Bitcoin casino withdrawal limits, fees and times

Withdrawals are where Bitcoin casinos differ most. Every partner caps how much you can take out per request or per week, and published processing times range from about two business days to reports of a month or more.

Slot Madness$20$2,500 a week, $5,000 a monthNone reported7–10 days pending; another review says minutes for cryptoThird-party reviews

SlotoCash’s two banking pages also differ slightly on other methods, and its payout page says one request per week per method, so a BTC withdrawal of $2,500 a week is the practical ceiling there unless the casino raises your limit. Silver Oak’s terms add an 8% fee (minimum $4) if you withdraw a deposit you haven’t wagered at least once. Our guide to casino withdrawal limits explains how these caps stack.

A worked example: a $9,000 Bitcoin win

Suppose you win $9,000 at a casino with a $2,500 weekly cap. You would receive $2,500 in each of weeks one, two and three ($7,500), then the final $1,500 in week four. At a casino with a $5,000 weekly cap, the same win arrives in two payments: $5,000, then $4,000. Pending periods are added on top, and your balance stays exposed to the casino while you wait.

How to deposit at a Bitcoin casino, step by step

These steps describe the general process. The exact screens differ by casino, so follow what the cashier shows.

  1. Check your state’s law on our states hub and decide on a budget you can afford to lose.
  2. Buy BTC at a US exchange or app you trust; our guide to buying Bitcoin for casinos covers the basics.
  3. Move the coins to a wallet you control, as explained in how to set up a crypto wallet.
  4. Open the casino cashier, choose Bitcoin (or Lightning if listed) and enter a bonus code first if the terms require it.
  5. Copy the casino’s deposit address exactly, or scan its QR code, and send a small amount first if you’re unsure.
  6. Wait for the network to confirm the payment; the casino credits your balance in dollars once it does.

A wrong wallet address can’t be corrected after sending. Our step-by-step Bitcoin deposit guide adds simple checks to run before you press send.

Bitcoin withdrawals and KYC: what the casinos ask for

Crypto deposits don’t exempt you from identity checks. SlotoCash’s support page asks for photo ID and a recent utility bill before any payout. Silver Oak’s terms ask for government photo ID, a selfie with the ID, a recent utility bill and both sides of any card used in the last three months, and they block withdrawals until this is done. Review sites report a 0–3 day document check at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness.

  1. Send your KYC documents as soon as you open the account rather than after a win.
  2. Finish or forfeit any active bonus, because wagering must be complete before a cashout.
  3. Request a Bitcoin withdrawal at or above the minimum and within the cap.
  4. Give a BTC address from your own wallet and double-check it.
  5. Leave the request pending rather than reversing it, and keep records of dates and amounts.

If a payout stalls, our page on pending withdrawals covers the usual reasons and what to ask support.

Bitcoin price swings and irreversible payments

Offshore casinos keep your balance in dollars, but your coins are worth whatever the market says on the day you buy and the day you sell. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau noted that as of October 3, 2022, Bitcoin was down more than 70% from its November 2021 high.

Here is a simple illustration with made-up prices. You buy $500 of BTC, win nothing, and later withdraw $500 back as BTC. If Bitcoin’s price has fallen 10% before you sell, that $500 of coins is worth $450; if it rose 10%, it’s worth $550. The casino result was zero either way, and the price move is a separate gamble.

Crypto payments also lack the legal protections of credit cards. The FTC’s consumer guidance on cryptocurrency payment scams (opens in a new tab) warns that crypto payments generally can’t be reversed. The CFPB’s crypto-asset complaint bulletin (opens in a new tab) counted more than 8,300 complaints from October 2018 to September 2022, with fraud and scams the most common issue at 40%.

Bitcoin casino bonuses and crypto promo codes

Some partners promote crypto-only offers alongside their welcome packages. SlotoCash’s promotions page lists a coded crypto reload, BLOCKFALL-1, at 100% plus $50 with a $25 minimum and 27x wagering. Silver Oak’s VIP page lists Bitcoin deposit bonuses of 325% to 400% for VIP tiers. Codes change often, so check the casino’s promotions page before you deposit; see Bitcoin casino bonuses for how they compare.

Bonus money is slot-focused. Table games and video poker are often excluded or count for less, and playing excluded games can void winnings. Here is the math on a SlotoCash-style term of 25x (deposit + bonus): a $100 deposit with a $200 match needs ($100 + $200) × 25 = $7,500 in bets. On a slot with a 4% house edge (an illustration, not a specific game), the expected cost of that wagering is $7,500 × 4% = $300, more than the $200 bonus.

Bonus wagering on a $100 Bitcoin deposit (illustration)
WageringMatchTotal to wagerExpected cost at 4% edge
25x (deposit + bonus)200% ($200)$7,500$300
27x (deposit + bonus)100% ($100)$5,400$216
30x (deposit + bonus)200% ($200)$9,000$360

The table shows why a bonus is a conditional deal rather than extra cash. Read our explainer on wagering requirements before you opt in.

Bitcoin vs credit cards at offshore casinos

Card networks use merchant category code 7995 for gambling transactions. Some banks decline MCC 7995 payments or ask for extra checks, many block them by default, and many treat credit card gambling as a cash advance with fees. That is the main reason US players use crypto at offshore casinos; our page on casino card declines explains the codes.

Bitcoin casino winnings and taxes

Gambling winnings are taxable federal income whether you’re paid in dollars or crypto. The IRS’s W-2G instructions (opens in a new tab) set a $2,000 reporting threshold for slot, keno and bingo winnings paid in 2026. Not getting a form doesn’t remove the obligation to report.

From the 2026 tax year, the 2025 federal tax law reportedly caps the gambling loss deduction at 90% of losses, and only up to your winnings; check IRS guidance. Selling crypto can have separate tax effects, so keep records of what you paid for your coins and what they were worth when you cashed out. Our gambling taxes page covers the details.

Frequently asked questions

Are Bitcoin casinos legal in the US?

Bitcoin casinos aren’t licensed by any US state, and paying in crypto doesn’t change that. Only seven states license real-money online casinos, and those sites are state-regulated brands, not offshore Bitcoin casinos. Federal law (UIGEA) targets gambling businesses that accept payments for unlawful internet gambling, while state law decides whether a bet is lawful where you are. Read offshore casino legality and your state’s page on the states hub before you deposit.

What is the minimum Bitcoin deposit at an online casino?

The usual Bitcoin minimum at our partner casinos is $25 to $30, and Lightning deposits start at $5 where offered. SlotoCash lists $25 for standard BTC and $5 for Lightning on its banking page, Silver Oak lists $30, and third-party reviews report $5 Lightning at Decode, Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. Small deposits may not qualify for a welcome bonus, so compare the bonus minimum too. See casino minimum deposits for a wider view.

How many days does a Bitcoin casino payout usually take?

Published or reported times range from about two business days to more than a month, depending on the casino. SlotoCash’s own pages say two business days or within 48 business hours, while Silver Oak’s terms allow a 7–10 business day review plus 7–10 days for payment. Review sites report pending periods of 5–10 days at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness, with some reports of longer waits. Our withdrawal times page compares methods.

Do Bitcoin casinos still ask for ID if I only deposit crypto?

Yes, the partner casinos ask for identity documents before paying out, even if you deposit only in Bitcoin. SlotoCash requires photo ID and a recent utility bill, and Silver Oak’s terms add a selfie with your ID and card photos, blocking withdrawals until verification is complete. Similar checks are reported by review sites at the other partners. Sending documents early avoids delays; our guide on how to verify your casino account lists what to prepare.

Is Bitcoin safe for online casino payments?

Bitcoin is a working payment rail, but it carries risks cards don’t. Payments generally can’t be reversed, so a wrong address or a casino dispute leaves you with no chargeback. The coin’s dollar value can also fall while you hold it; the CFPB reported Bitcoin was down more than 70% from its 2021 high in October 2022. Read is Bitcoin safe for casinos for more.

What is the maximum Bitcoin withdrawal per week?

Most of our partner casinos cap Bitcoin payouts at about $2,500 per request or per week. SlotoCash’s banking page lists $2,500 per Bitcoin request and an overall $5,000 weekly limit, and Silver Oak lists a $50–$2,500 range per Bitcoin withdrawal with weekly limits starting at $2,500. Review sites list $2,500 weekly at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. Larger wins are paid in installments, as explained in weekly withdrawal limits.

Can I get a bonus for depositing with Bitcoin?

Some partners advertise crypto-specific deals, but they come with wagering and game rules. SlotoCash’s promotions page lists a crypto reload code with a $25 minimum and 27x wagering, and Silver Oak’s VIP page lists 325% to 400% Bitcoin bonuses for VIP tiers. Codes change, bonus play is mostly limited to slots, and the house edge applies while you wager. See crypto casino bonuses for the math.

Do I pay tax on Bitcoin casino winnings?

Yes, gambling winnings are taxable federal income however you’re paid. The IRS sets a $2,000 W-2G reporting threshold for slot winnings paid in 2026, but you owe tax on winnings whether or not you receive a form. Losses are deductible only up to winnings, and from 2026 a reported 90% cap applies; check IRS guidance. Converting crypto may also have tax effects. See do I pay tax on casino winnings.

What are Miami Club's Bitcoin deposit minimums?

Miami Club's own banking page lists Bitcoin deposits from $25 and Lightning from $5, with no deposit fee. It pays out in Bitcoin from $100, up to $2,500 a week, with no fee and a 48-hour time, within an overall Terms of Use cap of $5,000 a week. On eligibility, those terms (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm at sign-up. Michigan's board named it on August 14, 2025. See the Miami Club Casino review and Miami Club banking.

Can I withdraw casino winnings with Bitcoin Lightning?

Not at our partners, as far as their published material shows. SlotoCash and Miami Club list Lightning for deposits from $5, and reviewers report the same at Decode, Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness, but none publishes a Lightning payout option. Plan to cash out through standard Bitcoin instead, with minimums of $20 to $100 depending on the casino and caps of about $2,500 per request or week. Have an on-chain BTC address from your own wallet ready. Our blockchain confirmations guide and how long do Bitcoin withdrawals take explain the timing.

Which Bitcoin casino pays out fastest?

On published figures, SlotoCash and Miami Club are quickest among our partners. SlotoCash's own pages say Bitcoin payouts are processed within 48 business hours, Miami Club's banking page gives 48 hours, and reviewers report 48 hours at Decode. Silver Oak's terms allow a 7–10 business day review plus 7–10 days for payment, and reviewers report 5–10 day pending periods at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. These are stated times, not promises, and KYC must be done first. Compare on our fast payout casinos list and the withdrawal times page.

Can I recover Bitcoin sent to the wrong casino wallet address?

The coins usually can't be recovered, because Bitcoin payments generally can't be reversed. If the address belongs to nobody you can contact, the money is likely gone. If you sent to an old or mistyped casino address, contact support straight away with the transaction ID, amount and time, and keep the request in writing. To avoid it, copy the address fresh from the cashier each time, check the first and last characters, and send a small test amount first if you're unsure. See our wallet address entry and how to deposit with Bitcoin guide.

Can I use a Bitcoin casino in Michigan?

Michigan licenses its own real-money online casinos, and its Gaming Control Board treats offshore Bitcoin casinos as illegal operators. The board named Silver Oak and Planet 7 in letters announced April 9, 2025, Miami Club and Slot Madness on August 14, 2025, and SlotoCash on October 8, 2026. Paying in Bitcoin doesn't change a site's status there. Michigan players who want legal play should use the state-licensed brands, which come with state oversight. Read online casinos in Michigan and our page on cease-and-desist letters.

Does Silver Oak charge a fee for Bitcoin withdrawals?

Silver Oak's own pages list a $0–$40 fee on Bitcoin withdrawals, with a $50 minimum and up to $2,500 per withdrawal. Its terms allow a 7–10 business day review and then 7–10 days for payment, and weekly limits start at $2,500, rising with VIP level. Separately, the terms charge 8% (minimum $4) if you withdraw a deposit you haven't wagered at least once, so a $300 unplayed cashout would lose $24 before the Bitcoin fee. Silver Oak's BTC deposits run from $30 to $100,000 with no casino fee. See the Silver Oak review and withdrawal fees.
