Ethereum casinos: how ETH works for US players

Ethereum casinos accept ETH in the cashier, but at almost every offshore casino that serves US players, Ethereum is a deposit-only method and winnings come back in Bitcoin. That means you need two wallets, you pay network fees twice, and you carry two coins’ price risk, so it helps to know the published minimums, caps and terms before you send ETH.

Key takeaways

  • Every partner casino lists Ethereum deposits, from $25 or $30 where a minimum is published.
  • Only Bitcoin is published as a crypto withdrawal at the partners we promote, so plan for an ETH-in, BTC-out round trip.
  • Silver Oak’s own banking page lists ETH deposits from $30 to $100,000 with no casino fee.
  • Ethereum network fees vary with demand and are paid from your wallet, not by the casino.
  • These casinos are offshore and not licensed by any US state; check your state’s law before you play.

Ethereum casinos explained for US players

An Ethereum casino is an online casino that lists ETH among its payment options. For Americans, these are offshore sites, since the state-licensed casinos in places like New Jersey and Michigan use regulated payment methods instead of crypto. If you’re new to the subject, our banking methods hub sets out every option side by side.

The defining feature of ETH at offshore casinos is that it usually works in one direction. You can fund an account with Ethereum, but the casinos we promote publish Bitcoin, bank wire and check as their payout routes. That shapes everything else on this page, from fees to taxes.

Ethereum is a programmable blockchain whose native coin is ETH. Many other tokens, including some stablecoins, also run on it. A casino that accepts ETH does not necessarily accept every token on the Ethereum network, so read the cashier’s instructions carefully.

Is it legal to use Ethereum at online casinos in the US?

The coin you pay with doesn’t decide legality; the law of the state you’re in does. Seven states license real-money online casinos: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Maine passed a tribal online casino law in January 2026, but nothing had launched by October 2026. No state licenses the offshore casinos that take ETH.

Federal law adds a payments angle. The UIGEA definitions in 31 U.S.C. § 5362 (opens in a new tab) define unlawful internet gambling by reference to the state or federal law where the bet is made, and the act’s payment rules target the business that accepts the money, not the player. Our explainer on whether online gambling is legal in the US covers the rest of the federal picture.

Regulators have named partner casinos. The Michigan Gaming Control Board sent cease-and-desist letters to Silver Oak and Planet 7, announced in an April 9, 2025 release (opens in a new tab), and later to Miami Club and Slot Madness (August 14, 2025) and SlotoCash (October 8, 2026), describing them as illegal offshore operators. Our page on cease-and-desist letters lists what these actions mean.

Which casinos accept Ethereum: deposit terms compared

All seven partner casinos list Ethereum somewhere, but the detail and the quality of the source differ. Primary figures come from the casino’s own pages; third-party figures come from review sites and may be out of date.

Silver Oak gives the fullest ETH terms of any partner, with its published banking table (opens in a new tab) listing the same $30 to $100,000 range and 0% fee for Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum. For Decode, the sources disagree: one review site lists ETH among its deposit coins, while another lists only Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Lightning. Check the cashier before you buy ETH for Decode.

Miami Club’s banking page lists Ethereum both in and out. It’s a live partner, but its own Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the site owner’s affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm your eligibility at sign-up. See our Miami Club review for the details.

Ethereum casino withdrawals: why you get paid in Bitcoin

SlotoCash’s banking page lists BTC as its only crypto withdrawal, and Silver Oak’s does the same. A third-party review of Decode reports Bitcoin as its only crypto payout, and review sites list Bitcoin, bank wire and check for Planet 7 and Royal Ace, with Slot Madness adding Litecoin. None of the three casinos in this page’s offers publishes an ETH withdrawal; Miami Club, whose banking page lists ETH payouts, is the only partner exception.

In practice, an ETH player needs a Bitcoin address ready before requesting a cashout. Our guide to Bitcoin casinos covers BTC payout times and fees, and our page on crypto wallets explains how to keep both coins in one place.

A worked ETH-to-BTC example in dollars

Take a $300 Ethereum deposit at Silver Oak, using the casino’s published terms. Its banking page shows no casino fee on the ETH deposit, so your account shows $300 once the payment confirms.

Now suppose your balance reaches $1,000 and you request Bitcoin. The banking page lists BTC withdrawals of $50 to $2,500 with a fee of $0 to $40, so you could receive between $960 and $1,000 in BTC before your own wallet’s costs. According to the terms, the review stage takes 7–10 business days and payment another 7–10 business days.

If you instead tried to withdraw the $300 without betting it once, the terms apply an 8% fee with a $4 minimum: $300 × 8% = $24, leaving $276. Add the Ethereum network fee you paid going in and any fee to sell BTC coming out, and the true cost of the round trip is higher than any single line suggests.

How to deposit Ethereum at an online casino

  1. Confirm the casino lists Ethereum in its cashier and note the minimum, which is $25 or $30 at partners that publish one.
  2. Buy ETH on a US exchange and move it to a wallet you control; see how to set up a crypto wallet.
  3. If you want a bonus, enter its code in the cashier before depositing, as many terms require.
  4. Choose Ethereum, copy the deposit address the cashier generates, and check the first and last characters after pasting.
  5. Send ETH itself, not another token, unless the cashier says it accepts that token on the Ethereum network.
  6. Wait for blockchain confirmation; the casino converts the ETH to a dollar balance when it credits you.

Our Bitcoin deposit guide follows the same pattern and includes checks for avoiding address errors.

Ethereum gas fees and price risk

Every Ethereum transfer carries a network fee, known as gas, paid in ETH from the sending wallet. It rises and falls with network demand, so check the estimate your wallet shows before confirming. The casino doesn’t set or refund it.

Price risk works the same way as with Bitcoin, but doubled. Your ETH can lose dollar value between purchase and deposit, and the BTC you receive can move between payout and sale. The CFPB’s complaint bulletin on crypto-assets (opens in a new tab) noted that the total value of the crypto market fell by as much as 68% as of July 2022.

Crypto payments also generally can’t be reversed, as the FTC’s warning about crypto payment demands (opens in a new tab) points out. Our guide to crypto casino scams covers fake casinos and support impersonators.

Verification at Ethereum casinos

Paying in ETH does not make an account anonymous. At Silver Oak, the terms require government photo ID, a selfie with the ID, a utility bill from the last three months and both sides of any card used, and they block withdrawals until this is complete. A third-party review of Decode reports ID, proof of address, payment ownership and a selfie, with a 0–2 day turnaround, and says crypto depositors may be asked for photo ID.

The safest approach is to verify before you need a payout. Our guide on why casinos ask for documents explains the reasons, including anti-fraud and source of funds checks.

Ethereum casino bonuses and wagering math

Partner welcome bonuses don’t usually depend on which coin you use, though some casinos run crypto-only reloads. Bonus play is slot-focused: table games and video poker are often excluded or weighted lower, so check the terms. The Silver Oak terms exclude baccarat, craps, roulette, pai gow, sic bo, live dealer games and progressives from bonus play.

Silver Oak’s own offer page says 30x playthrough, while its terms say 40x on slots and 60x on table games and video poker. On a $100 deposit with a 100% match ($200 combined), the difference matters if the multiple applies to deposit plus bonus: 30 × $200 = $6,000 in bets versus 40 × $200 = $8,000. At an illustrative 4% house edge, that’s an expected cost of $240 versus $320. Check which figure applies at sign-up, and see bonus wagering requirements.

Taxes on Ethereum casino winnings

Gambling winnings are taxable federal income, and paying in ETH doesn’t change that. The IRS sets a $2,000 W-2G reporting threshold for slot, keno and bingo winnings paid in 2026, but you report winnings whether or not a form arrives. From the 2026 tax year, the loss deduction is reportedly capped at 90% of losses and limited to winnings; check IRS guidance. Our gambling taxes guide has worked examples.

Decode doesn’t publish full bonus terms on the pages available; third-party reviews report codes such as DECODE111 (111% up to $1,111, 25x bonus plus deposit, $25 minimum) and EASY25CODE (400%, 35x, $25 minimum, no max cashout), and its own site headlines a $111 no-deposit free chip and crypto bonus with no terms shown. Reviews also report that it refuses players from Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington.

Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Silver Oak’s own site advertises a different package, a $10,000 welcome over ten 100% matches with codes SILVEROAK1 to SILVEROAK10, 30x or 40x playthrough (its pages conflict), no max withdrawal on the offer page and deposits from $30. It is the only partner that publishes its license: Primrose Media Limited, licensed in Anjouan.

Planet 7 Casino: $2,750 Welcome Bonus + 45 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Third-party reviews report a 200% WELCOME200 code with 30x (bonus + deposit) wagering on slots and a $1,000 max cashout, with a $30 card minimum, but sources disagree, so the terms shown at sign-up apply. Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw Ethereum from an online casino?

At the partner casinos we promote, Ethereum isn’t published as a withdrawal option, so winnings are paid in Bitcoin, by bank wire or by check. SlotoCash and Silver Oak list BTC as their only crypto payout on their own pages, and review sites report the same for Decode, Planet 7 and Royal Ace. Keep a Bitcoin wallet ready before you request a cashout. Our crypto wallets page explains the setup.

What is the minimum Ethereum deposit at a casino?

Where a figure is published, the minimum ETH deposit is $25 or $30. SlotoCash’s banking page lists $25, and Silver Oak’s lists $30 with a $100,000 maximum. A review site reports $25 at Decode, while Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness have no published ETH minimum. Your wallet’s gas fee comes on top of whatever you send. See casino minimum deposits for other methods.

Are offshore Ethereum casinos licensed in the US?

Offshore Ethereum casinos are not licensed by any US state, and paying with ETH doesn’t change a casino’s legal status. Seven states license real-money online casinos, and those regulated sites don’t take crypto. Federal law targets businesses that accept payments for unlawful internet gambling, while state law decides whether the bet is lawful. Read about offshore vs state-licensed casinos and check your state on our states hub.

Does the casino charge a fee for Ethereum deposits?

Silver Oak’s banking page lists a 0% casino fee on Ethereum deposits, and the other partners don’t publish an ETH fee. Separately, the Ethereum network charges a gas fee, paid from your wallet, that changes with demand. The casino neither sets nor refunds it, so check the estimate before you confirm. Our page on casino withdrawal fees covers the costs on the way out.

Is Ethereum better than Bitcoin for casino deposits?

Neither is better in every case; the deciding factor is usually the payout route. Because the partners pay crypto out in Bitcoin, depositing in BTC avoids holding two coins and paying two sets of network fees. ETH can still make sense if you already hold it. Compare minimums and caps on our Bitcoin casinos page and Litecoin casinos page before you decide.

Can I send USDT or other tokens to a casino’s ETH address?

Only if the cashier explicitly says it accepts that token on the Ethereum network. An ETH deposit address is meant for ETH, and sending an unsupported token can mean the casino can’t credit it, with no way to reverse the transfer. Some partners list Tether as a separate method. Read our USDT Tether casinos page and the stablecoin glossary entry before trying it.

Do Ethereum casinos require ID verification?

Yes, the partner casinos verify identity before paying out, whatever coin you deposit. Silver Oak’s terms require photo ID, a selfie with the ID and a recent utility bill, and block withdrawals until checks are complete. A review site reports that Decode can ask crypto depositors for photo ID too. Prepare your documents early using our KYC documents checklist.

Where can I get help if crypto gambling is becoming a problem?

The National Problem Gambling Helpline, run by NCPG, is free and confidential at 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), with call, text and chat options. Crypto can make deposits feel less like real money, so setting limits matters. Our page on crypto and problem gambling and our blocking software guide explain practical steps, including tools such as Gamban and BetBlocker.

Does Miami Club Casino pay out in Ethereum?

Yes, Miami Club is the one partner whose own banking page lists Ethereum withdrawals as well as deposits. ETH deposits start at $25 with no fee, and ETH payouts show no listed minimum and no fee; Bitcoin payouts run from $100 up to $2,500 a week. Its Terms of Use cap withdrawals at $5,000 a week overall. On eligibility, those terms (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm at sign-up. See the Miami Club Casino review and Miami Club banking.

How much is the gas fee on an Ethereum casino deposit?

There's no fixed figure: Ethereum gas rises and falls with network demand, and your wallet shows the estimate before you confirm. The casino doesn't set it or refund it, so it comes on top of the amount you send. That matters most on small deposits, because a fee that's trivial on a $1,000 transfer can be a large share of a $25 minimum deposit. If gas looks high, waiting for a quieter period or using a coin with lower minimums, such as Litecoin or Bitcoin Lightning where listed, may cost less. See our crypto fees guide and blockchain confirmations.

Does Silver Oak Casino accept Ethereum?

Yes, Silver Oak's own banking page lists Ethereum deposits from $30 to $100,000 with a 0% casino fee, the widest published ETH range among our partners. Withdrawals come back in Bitcoin, from $50 to $2,500 per request with a $0–$40 fee, after a 7–10 business day review and 7–10 days for payment. Its terms charge 8% (minimum $4) on withdrawals of deposits that haven't been wagered once. Silver Oak publishes its license (Primrose Media Limited, Anjouan) and was named in Michigan's April 9, 2025 release. See the Silver Oak review and Silver Oak banking.

Does SlotoCash accept Ethereum?

Yes, SlotoCash's own banking page lists Ethereum deposits from $25, alongside Bitcoin, Lightning, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash, and its promotions page refers to Ethereum deposit offers. Payouts come back in Bitcoin only, from $100 to $2,500 per request with no casino fee, processed within 48 business hours, inside a $5,000 weekly cap. That means an ETH player needs a Bitcoin address ready. SlotoCash is offshore and not licensed by any US state, and Michigan's board named it in an October 8, 2026 release. See the SlotoCash review and SlotoCash banking.

Can I use an Ethereum casino in Washington state?

Washington law is among the strictest in the country on this. RCW 9.46.240 makes knowingly transmitting or receiving gambling information over the internet a class C felony, and paying with Ethereum doesn't change how that law applies. Washington doesn't license online casinos, and reviewers report that Decode refuses Washington players outright. No offshore site is licensed by the state. Read online casinos in Washington and can I play online casinos in Washington before you do anything else.

What happens if Ethereum's price drops after I deposit at a casino?

Once the casino credits your deposit, your balance is in dollars, so a later ETH price drop doesn't shrink it. The casino converts your ETH when it credits you, though none of our partners publishes how it sets that rate. The price risk sits before and after: ETH can fall between buying it and sending it, and the Bitcoin you're paid in can move before you sell. As an illustration, a $1,000 BTC payout that falls 5% before sale leaves $950. Note dollar values on each date. See casino currency and exchange and is Bitcoin safe for casinos.
