Casino withdrawal fees

Casino withdrawal fees at offshore sites range from nothing on a Bitcoin payout to $60 on a wire or couriered check, and a few casinos charge a percentage or a penalty if you withdraw a deposit you haven't played. On a small payout those charges can eat a big share. Here's what partner casinos publish or reviewers report, with the dollar math.

Key takeaways

  • Bitcoin payouts are free at SlotoCash and Miami Club and reported fee-free at several partners; wires and checks cost $30 to $60 where fees are published.
  • Silver Oak publishes method fees of up to $40 or 5%, plus an 8% fee (minimum $4) if a deposit wasn't wagered at least once.
  • Flat fees hurt small payouts most: a $60 fee on a $150 check takes 40%.
  • Your bank, exchange or the blockchain may charge on top of the casino's fee.

Do online casinos charge withdrawal fees?

Some do and some don't, and the method you pick usually decides it. Among our seven live partner casinos, Bitcoin payouts are free or reported as free at most, while bank wires and couriered checks carry flat fees where the casino publishes them. Silver Oak adds percentage-based fees on some methods.

These charges are set by each casino's terms. Offshore casinos aren't licensed by any US state, so no regulator caps or reviews them, and they can change. Always look at the fee line in the cashier before you confirm a request. For the wider picture of costs, see our page on whether casinos charge fees and the casino banking hub.

Types of casino withdrawal fees

Charges that can reduce a casino payout
Fee typeWho charges itExample from partner terms or reviews
Flat method feeThe casinoSlotoCash wire $50 or $60; Decode check $30 (third-party)
Percentage method feeThe casinoSilver Oak Coindraw 5%
Unplayed-deposit feeThe casinoSilver Oak 8% (minimum $4) if a deposit wasn't wagered once
Network feeThe blockchainVaries with network traffic; not set by the casino
Incoming wire or foreign check feeYour bankSet by your bank; ask before choosing wire or check
Conversion spreadYour exchangeApplies when you turn coins into dollars

Only the first three appear in casino terms. The rest happen outside the casino, which is why a 'free' payout can still arrive a little short. Our crypto fees guide explains network and exchange costs in more depth.

SlotoCash's two pages disagree on both the wire fee ($50 vs $60) and the check fee ($60 vs $30). Its payout methods page (opens in a new tab) is the more detailed of the two, but when a casino contradicts itself, budget for the higher number and ask support which applies. Silver Oak also lists Coindraw at 5%, on payouts of $20 to $2,500, per its banking page (opens in a new tab).

For Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness, the 'none reported' entries come from a single review site's summary, and their own terms weren't available to check. Treat them as reported, not confirmed. See the brand pages for Slot Madness banking and Decode banking.

Casino withdrawal fees in dollars: worked examples

Flat fees are easy to ignore on a big payout and painful on a small one. The table shows what reaches you (before any bank, exchange or network charges) using fees the casinos publish.

What a payout is worth after the casino's fee
PayoutMethod and feeFee as % of payoutYou receive
$150SlotoCash check, $6040%$90
$150SlotoCash check, $3020%$120
$500SlotoCash wire, $6012%$440
$2,500SlotoCash wire, $502%$2,450
$500Silver Oak Coindraw, 5%5%$475
$50Silver Oak Bitcoin, up to $40Up to 80%As little as $10
$500SlotoCash Bitcoin, free0%$500

The lesson is simple: if a method has a flat fee, withdraw less often and in larger amounts, within the casino's caps. At SlotoCash, Bitcoin removes the casino fee altogether. The casino withdrawal limits page shows how far each casino lets you consolidate.

The unplayed-deposit fee: withdrawing money you didn't wager

Silver Oak's terms say an 8% fee, with a $4 minimum, applies if you withdraw a deposit that hasn't been wagered at least once. It's aimed at people using the cashier as a money-transfer service rather than to play, but it can catch ordinary players who deposit, change their mind and ask for the money back.

  • Deposit $200 and withdraw it unplayed: 8% is $16, so you get $184 back.
  • Deposit $40 and withdraw it unplayed: 8% is $3.20, so the $4 minimum applies and you get $36.
  • Wager the $200 once (for example, $200 of slot spins) and the fee no longer applies, but the house edge does: at an illustrative 5% house edge you'd expect to lose about $10 doing it.

So wagering just to dodge the fee usually doesn't save much and adds risk. If you've changed your mind, the fee may simply be the cost of stepping back. Our house edge explained guide shows the expected-loss math.

Deposit fees count too

The cost of a round trip includes the deposit. SlotoCash's banking page lists a card deposit fee of $0.01 to $1 and no fee on Bitcoin deposits. Silver Oak's banking page lists 3% to 10% on cards and 0% on crypto deposits. If your bank treats a card gambling charge as a cash advance, add its fee and interest as well; our casino card declines page explains why that happens.

Example: a $300 card deposit at Silver Oak at 10% costs $30 at the casino, then a later $300 Coindraw payout costs $15 more. That's $45 in casino fees before a single bet's house edge. Funding and cashing out in crypto avoids most casino-side fees there, though network and exchange costs remain. See Bitcoin casinos and casino crypto wallets.

How to keep casino withdrawal fees down, step by step

  1. Check the fee column in the casino's banking page and cashier for each method before you deposit, not when you want to cash out.
  2. Choose a payout method with no casino fee where one is listed, usually Bitcoin.
  3. Make fewer, larger withdrawals when a method carries a flat fee, within the per-request and weekly limits.
  4. Wager each deposit at least once if the casino charges for unplayed deposits, but only if you were going to play anyway.
  5. Ask your bank what it charges to receive an international wire or deposit a foreign check before you pick either.
  6. Compare the exchange's rate and fee before converting coins back to dollars.
  7. Keep a simple log of every deposit, fee and payout for budgeting and tax records.

What to do if a casino charges a withdrawal fee you didn’t expect

An unexpected fee is worth questioning, because casino pages sometimes contradict each other, as SlotoCash’s two banking pages do. Act quickly: some casinos set short dispute windows, and offshore sites have no US state regulator behind them.

  1. Find the fee line in the cashier confirmation and note the amount, method and date.
  2. Compare it with the casino’s published banking page and terms, and screenshot both.
  3. Check whether a specific rule caused it, such as Silver Oak’s 8% fee (minimum $4) on deposits not wagered once.
  4. Ask support in writing which term applies, and keep the transcript.
  5. If the answer doesn’t match the terms, raise a formal complaint within the casino’s window: 14 days at SlotoCash and 3 days from the wager at Silver Oak, under their terms.
  6. If the casino doesn’t resolve it, use an independent complaint service and keep every record.

Before your next payout, switch to a method with no listed fee or combine smaller requests into one, within the weekly caps. Our how to file a casino complaint guide sets out the order to try, the casino ADR and complaints page explains independent services, and withdrawal times covers how fees and timing trade off.

Bonuses, wagering and the hidden cost of a payout

The biggest cost on many payouts isn't a fee at all. If you take a deposit bonus, you usually can't withdraw until wagering is met, and every dollar wagered faces the house edge. A $100 deposit with a $100 bonus at 25x (deposit plus bonus) means $5,000 of wagering; at an illustrative 5% house edge the expected loss is $250, far more than any wire fee. Check each game's published return for the real figure.

That's why a bonus with low wagering, or no bonus at all, can be the cheapest way to keep a withdrawal intact. Our wagering requirements explained guide and expected value of a bonus page show the full calculation.

Fees, taxes and the legal position

Gambling winnings are taxable federal income, and the IRS sets out reporting thresholds in its Form W-2G instructions (opens in a new tab). Keep records of payouts and fees alongside wins and losses; our gambling taxes page and keeping gambling records guide explain what to save. Check IRS guidance or a tax professional for your situation.

Our partner casinos are offshore and not licensed by any US state, so if a fee is charged that the terms don't support, there's no state regulator to complain to. Michigan's Gaming Control Board named Slot Madness in August 2025 and SlotoCash in October 2026 among illegal offshore operators. Read offshore casinos legality and check your state's law on the states hub.

Frequently asked questions

Which casino withdrawal methods have no fees?

Bitcoin is the usual fee-free route. SlotoCash and Miami Club publish free Bitcoin payouts, and one review site reports no withdrawal fees at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. Silver Oak lists $0 to $40 on Bitcoin, so it isn't always free there. Network and exchange costs can still apply outside the casino. Compare methods on the Bitcoin casinos page and the banking hub.

How much is a casino bank wire withdrawal fee?

Where partners publish one, $50 to $60. SlotoCash shows $50 on its banking page and $60 on its payout methods page, Decode is reported at $50, and Silver Oak lists $0 to $20. Your own bank may also charge to receive an international wire. On a $500 payout, a $60 fee takes 12%. Read the bank wire page and what is a bank wire withdrawal.

Why did the casino charge a fee on my withdrawal?

Usually because of the method you picked or because the deposit wasn't wagered. Flat fees on wires and checks are common, and Silver Oak's terms add an 8% fee (minimum $4) on deposits withdrawn without being played once. Check the casino's banking terms; if the fee isn't there, ask support in writing. Our guide to reading casino terms shows where fees hide.

Are there fees for casino check withdrawals?

Yes at casinos that publish them. SlotoCash shows $60 on its banking page and $30 on its payout methods page, with a $150 minimum, Decode is reported at $30, and Silver Oak lists $0 to $25. Your bank may charge to deposit a foreign check and may hold the funds. A $60 fee on a $150 check takes 40%. See check by courier and the check payouts guide.

Do I pay a fee to withdraw Bitcoin from a casino?

Not at SlotoCash or Miami Club, which both publish free Bitcoin payouts, and none is reported at Planet 7, Royal Ace or Slot Madness. Silver Oak lists $0 to $40 per Bitcoin payout, and Decode's fee isn't published. The blockchain network fee and any exchange spread when you convert to dollars are separate. Read casino crypto wallets and how long Bitcoin withdrawals take.

Can I avoid a fee by withdrawing a deposit I didn't play?

Not at Silver Oak, whose terms charge 8% (minimum $4) on deposits withdrawn without being wagered once. On a $200 deposit that's $16. Wagering it once removes the fee but exposes the money to the house edge, so it isn't a free fix. If you've decided not to play, paying the fee and stepping away is reasonable. Our deposit limits page helps you avoid over-depositing.

Are casino withdrawal fees tax deductible?

Don't assume so. Gambling winnings are taxable federal income, and how fees and losses are treated depends on IRS rules and your circumstances; from tax year 2026 the loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses, so check IRS guidance. Keep a record of every payout and fee either way. See our gambling loss deduction page and the gambling taxes guide.

Do offshore casinos charge more fees than licensed US casinos?

It varies, but the bigger difference is oversight. State-licensed casinos operate under a state regulator that can act on complaints, while offshore casinos set fees in their own terms with no US state reviewing them. Some offshore partners charge nothing on Bitcoin and $50 to $60 on wires. Compare player protections offshore vs licensed and offshore vs state-licensed casinos.

Does Miami Club charge withdrawal fees?

Only on paper payouts, according to its own banking page. Bitcoin and Ethereum withdrawals carry no fee, a bank wire costs $50 and a courier check costs $60, with wire and check minimums of $150. Its Terms of Use set a $100 minimum withdrawal and a $5,000 weekly cap, so on a $150 check the $60 fee takes 40%. Section 1.6 of those terms lists the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the casino’s affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm at sign-up. See Miami Club withdrawals and our Miami Club review.

Does Royal Ace charge withdrawal fees?

No withdrawal fees are reported, but that comes from one review site rather than Royal Ace’s own terms, which weren’t available to check. AskGamblers lists no fees and payouts by bank wire, check and Bitcoin, plus Neteller, which LCB says isn’t available to US players. Reviewers report a $20 minimum withdrawal, caps of $2,500 a week and $5,000 a month, and a 7–10 day pending period with no weekend cashouts. Confirm the fee line in the cashier before you request. See Royal Ace withdrawals and Royal Ace banking.

How much is the Coindraw withdrawal fee at Silver Oak?

Silver Oak’s banking page lists Coindraw at a 5% fee, on payouts from $20 to $2,500, with a stated time of 0–7 days. That’s $1 on a $20 payout and $50 on $1,000. By comparison, its Bitcoin payouts run from $50 with a $0–$40 fee and 7–10 days, so on larger sums the flat Bitcoin fee can be cheaper, while Coindraw suits small, faster payouts. Silver Oak’s 8% fee on unwagered deposits can apply on top. Our Silver Oak withdrawals page has the full table, and Bitcoin casinos compares crypto payouts.

What is the cheapest way to withdraw from SlotoCash?

Bitcoin, which SlotoCash lists with no casino fee, from $100 up to $2,500 per request. Its two banking pages put a bank wire at $50 or $60 and a courier check at $60 or $30, so a $500 payout by wire could cost up to 12%. The catch is frequency: its payout page allows one request a week per method, with caps of $5,000 a week and $20,000 a month. You still pay your exchange to turn Bitcoin into dollars. See SlotoCash withdrawals and the SlotoCash Bitcoin page.

Why is my Bitcoin casino payout less than I requested?

Usually because of costs outside the casino, not a hidden casino fee. Where a casino lists free Bitcoin payouts, the shortfall usually comes from the network fee, your exchange’s spread when you sell, or a fall in Bitcoin’s price between request and sale. Silver Oak does list its own $0–$40 Bitcoin fee, and its 8% charge (minimum $4) applies if a deposit wasn’t wagered once. Compare the cashier’s confirmation with the amount your wallet received and the price at the time. Our crypto fees guide and blockchain confirmations page explain the gap.

Do licensed West Virginia online casinos charge withdrawal fees?

Each licensed site sets its own cashier terms, so check its banking page, but the bigger difference from offshore casinos is oversight. West Virginia authorized online casinos under the West Virginia Lottery Interactive Wagering Act, and the West Virginia Lottery Commission regulates them, with up to five licenses allowed by statute and a casino age of 21. Players in Charleston, Huntington and Morgantown with a fee dispute at a licensed site have a state regulator to turn to, which offshore partners can’t offer. Read our West Virginia guide and state regulators page.
