Casino crypto wallets are where your Bitcoin or other coins sit before you deposit and where any crypto payout lands afterward. At the offshore casinos US players use, crypto is often the main cashout route, so the wallet you pick decides how smoothly money moves, what it costs and how much of the risk sits with you.

What casino crypto wallets do (and don't do)
A crypto wallet doesn't hold coins the way a leather wallet holds bills. It holds the private keys that let you move coins recorded on a blockchain, and it generates the receiving addresses you hand out. When you fund an account at an offshore casino, you send coins from your wallet to a deposit address the cashier shows you; when you cash out, you give the casino one of your wallet's addresses.
That makes the wallet the hinge of every crypto casino deposit and withdrawal. Card payments to gambling merchants are often declined in the US (more on that in our guide to casino card declines), which is a big reason crypto has become the default rail at offshore sites. The trade-off is that you, not a bank, carry the responsibility for getting addresses and networks right.
A wallet doesn't make gambling cheaper or safer by itself. The house edge is the same whether you fund a slot session with Bitcoin or a check, and losses are likely over time. What a good wallet setup does is cut avoidable mistakes: wrong-network sends, lost seed phrases and payouts landing somewhere you can't reach.
Custodial vs self-custody: which crypto wallet type suits casino play
There are two broad families. A custodial wallet is an account at a company, usually the exchange where you bought the coins, which holds the keys for you. A self-custody wallet is an app or hardware device where only you hold the keys, backed up by a recovery (seed) phrase.

Many US players use both: an exchange account to turn dollars into coins and back, plus a self-custody wallet in between so gambling transfers don't go straight to or from the exchange. Read the exchange's own terms on gambling-related transfers before you rely on it; policies differ and change. Our walkthrough on setting up a crypto wallet covers the setup screens in general terms, and how to buy Bitcoin for casinos covers the exchange side.
Which coins casino crypto wallets need: deposits vs withdrawals by casino
The coin lists below show a pattern: casinos take many coins in, but publish far fewer ways out. Every partner lists Bitcoin as a crypto payout method. Miami Club's banking page also lists Ethereum payouts, and Slot Madness is reported to pay in Litecoin as well. If your wallet holds only Ethereum or Tether, plan on receiving Bitcoin at most partners when you cash out.

Two notes on that table. SlotoCash's promotions page also refers to Tether and Ethereum deposit offers, and one review site lists USDT there too, so the coin list may be wider than the banking page shows. Silver Oak's banking page lists three coins, while a review site adds USDT and USDC. Check the cashier before you buy a coin specially. Coin-specific guides cover Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and USDT Tether.
How to set up a crypto wallet for a casino deposit, step by step
The order below keeps the riskiest moments (first send, first payout) small and checkable. It assumes you've already decided the site is one you're comfortable using and that you've read your state's position on offshore play.
Choose a wallet that supports the coin you plan to use for deposits and Bitcoin for payouts, since Bitcoin is the payout coin every partner lists.
Create the wallet, write down the seed phrase on paper and test the backup by restoring it on a second device or app before you add money.
Buy a small amount of coin at an exchange and send it to your self-custody wallet, so you learn the address and network screens with little at stake.
Open the casino cashier, pick the coin, and copy the deposit address it shows; paste it rather than typing it, then compare the first and last characters.
Send a deposit at or just above the casino's minimum (for example $25 in Bitcoin at SlotoCash, or $5 if the cashier offers Lightning) and wait for it to credit.
Complete identity checks early, because every partner asks for documents before the first payout.
When you cash out, generate a fresh Bitcoin receiving address in your wallet, paste it into the withdrawal form and keep a screenshot of the request.
Never use another person's wallet, account or identity to deposit or withdraw. Casinos check that payment methods match the account holder, and doing this breaks their terms.
Addresses, networks and Bitcoin Lightning deposits
Every coin has its own address format, and some coins exist on more than one network. Sending a coin to an address on the wrong network can mean the casino never sees it, and crypto transfers generally can't be pulled back. Match three things on every send: the coin, the network and the address.
Bitcoin Lightning is a faster payment layer on top of Bitcoin. SlotoCash and Miami Club list a $5 Lightning minimum on their banking pages, and third-party reviews report the same $5 Lightning minimum at Decode, Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. Your wallet must support Lightning to use it, and Lightning appears as a deposit option only: none of the partners lists a Lightning payout.
Silver Oak's published banking page (opens in a new tab) also lists Changelly for deposits ($60 to $200 per transaction, 0% casino fee) and Coindraw for withdrawals ($20 to $2,500, 5% fee). These are services that convert between coins and the casino's cashier, so read the service's own rates before you use one; the casino's fee is only part of the cost. Our crypto fees guide and blockchain confirmations explainer go deeper.
Casino crypto withdrawals to your wallet: limits, fees and times
Crypto payouts are where the published terms matter most. Each casino sets a minimum, a weekly ceiling and a processing window, and none of these are set or checked by a US state regulator.

Worked example: a $6,000 Bitcoin balance at a casino with a $2,500 weekly cap leaves in three pieces ($2,500, $2,500 and $1,000) over three weeks at the earliest, and longer if each request also sits in a pending queue. At SlotoCash's published $5,000 weekly limit, the same balance takes two weekly requests. More on this in casino withdrawal limits and casino withdrawal times.
When the coins arrive, their dollar value is whatever the market says that day. If Bitcoin falls between your request and the payout, you receive the same number of coins but fewer dollars, which brings us to the risks.
Crypto casino risks: irreversible payments, price swings and scams
The Federal Trade Commission's consumer guidance says crypto payments lack the legal protections that credit cards carry and generally can't be reversed once sent (opens in a new tab). There is no chargeback button. If an offshore casino refuses a payout, your wallet gives you no route to claw back the deposit.
Prices move fast. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's November 2022 complaint bulletin on crypto-assets (opens in a new tab) noted that Bitcoin was down more than 70% from its November 2021 high as of October 3, 2022. The same bulletin counted more than 8,300 virtual-currency complaints from October 2018 to September 2022, with fraud and scams the most common issue (40%) and money not available when promised at 16%.
Price risk: a $1,000 balance held in Bitcoin can be worth noticeably less by the time it reaches you.
Address risk: one wrong character or wrong network and the coins are gone.
Counterparty risk: offshore casinos answer to no US state regulator, so a disputed payout has no state complaint route.
Scam risk: fake casinos and fake support agents ask for crypto because it can't be reversed. See crypto casino scams.
If you're targeted by a crypto scam, the FTC asks people to report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
Are crypto casino wallets legal in the USA?
Owning a crypto wallet is lawful in the US. Using it to gamble is a different question, and the answer comes from state law. Real-money online casinos are licensed only in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and our partner casinos are not licensed in any of them or anywhere else in the US.
The federal Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act targets gambling businesses that accept payments in connection with unlawful internet gambling; under 31 U.S.C. § 5362 (opens in a new tab), whether a bet is unlawful depends on the law where it is placed. UIGEA doesn't itself make placing a bet a federal crime for the player. Crypto doesn't change that analysis: paying in Bitcoin doesn't make an offshore casino legal where state law says otherwise.
Gambling winnings are taxable federal income whether they arrive as dollars or as coins. A wallet's transaction history shows dates, amounts and addresses, which helps you match deposits and payouts to casino statements. Export it regularly; casinos can close accounts and old cashier histories may disappear.
Converting coins back to dollars can raise separate questions, so keep exchange records too. Our gambling taxes page and keeping gambling records guide explain what to keep; check IRS guidance or a tax professional for your situation.
Casino crypto wallet security checklist
Turn on two-factor authentication at your exchange and casino accounts; our two-factor authentication guide explains the options.
Keep the seed phrase offline and never type it into a website, chat or support form.
Use a fresh receiving address for each payout and save a screenshot of each withdrawal request.
Bookmark the casino's address rather than following links in emails; read about phishing scams.
Set a deposit budget before you buy coins, and use the casino's deposit limits where offered.
Crypto makes it quick to top up again after a loss. If you notice that happening, step back: the National Problem Gambling Helpline, run by NCPG, answers at 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738) by call or text, and our deposit limits page shows how to cap spending.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best crypto wallet for online casinos?
The best casino crypto wallet is one that supports the coins you deposit, receives Bitcoin, and keeps you in control of the keys. Every partner casino lists Bitcoin as its crypto payout, so Bitcoin support matters most. Many players pair an exchange account for buying coins with a self-custody wallet for casino transfers. Our crypto wallet setup guide walks through the choices, and what crypto casinos accept lists the coins by site.
Can I send crypto from an exchange straight to a casino?
Technically you can, but it's often wiser not to. Exchanges set their own rules on gambling-related transfers and can question or restrict them, and those rules differ by company and change over time. Routing through a self-custody wallet keeps the exchange and the casino separate and lets you check the address before money leaves. Read the exchange's terms first, and see how to buy Bitcoin for casinos for the general flow.
Which coins can I withdraw from crypto casinos?
Mostly Bitcoin. All seven partner casinos list Bitcoin payouts, Miami Club also lists Ethereum, Slot Madness is reported to pay in Litecoin, and Silver Oak lists Coindraw as a separate option with a 5% fee. Deposit lists are much longer, taking in Ethereum, Tether, Dogecoin and more at some sites. Make sure your wallet can receive Bitcoin before you deposit any other coin. The Bitcoin casinos page compares payout terms.
How long do crypto withdrawals take to reach my wallet?
It depends far more on the casino's approval queue than on the blockchain. SlotoCash says Bitcoin payouts are processed within 48 business hours, Silver Oak's banking page says 7 to 10 days, and third-party reviewers report pending periods of a week or more at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. Once sent, the transfer itself is usually much quicker. See how long Bitcoin withdrawals take.
Is it safe to use a crypto wallet at an offshore casino?
The wallet can be secure while the casino still carries risk. Crypto payments generally can't be reversed, prices swing, and offshore casinos aren't licensed by any US state, so a refused payout has no state complaint route. Keep your seed phrase offline, send small test amounts and only deposit what you can afford to lose. Our page on whether Bitcoin is safe for casinos covers this in more detail.
Do I need a Lightning wallet for $5 casino deposits?
Yes, the $5 minimum applies to Bitcoin Lightning, so your wallet must support Lightning payments. SlotoCash publishes a $5 Lightning minimum, and third-party reviews report the same figure at Decode, Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. Standard Bitcoin deposits usually start higher, at $25 or $30. Lightning is a deposit route only at these sites; payouts come as regular Bitcoin. The minimum deposits page compares every method.
What if I send coins from my crypto wallet to the wrong address?
In most cases the coins are lost, because crypto transfers generally can't be reversed. The FTC warns that crypto lacks the protections that card payments carry. If the address belongs to the casino but you used the wrong network, contact support at once with the transaction ID, but recovery is at their discretion. Prevention is the only reliable fix: paste addresses, check the network and test small. See blockchain confirmations.
Do casinos ask for ID if I use crypto?
Yes. Paying in crypto doesn't skip verification at the partner casinos. SlotoCash asks for photo ID and a utility bill before any payout, Silver Oak blocks withdrawals until its checks are complete, and third-party reviews report that Decode may ask crypto depositors for photo ID. Send documents before your first cashout to avoid delays. Read how to verify your casino account and what KYC means.
Can Miami Club Casino pay crypto to my wallet?
Yes, Miami Club's banking page lists Bitcoin and Ethereum payouts, making it the only partner that publishes a crypto payout other than Bitcoin. Bitcoin withdrawals start at $100, run up to $2,500 a week with no fee and take 48 hours, within a $5,000 weekly cap in its terms; no Ethereum minimum is listed. Deposits cover six coins, including Tether up to $2,500. On eligibility, its Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm at sign-up. See Miami Club banking.
Should I use a hardware wallet for casino crypto payouts?
A hardware wallet is a type of self-custody wallet, so it suits players who want sole control of their keys and plan to hold larger payouts for a while. It keeps keys off your phone or computer, but the same rules apply: only you hold the seed phrase, and nobody can restore it for you. For small, frequent deposits, a self-custody phone app is usually enough. Whatever you choose, make sure it can receive Bitcoin, since that's the payout coin every partner lists. Read our crypto wallet setup guide and casino account security.
What is a seed phrase, and why does it matter for casino crypto?
A seed phrase is the list of recovery words that rebuilds a self-custody wallet, and anyone who has it controls every coin in that wallet. For casino play this matters twice over: payouts land in the wallet, and crypto transfers generally can't be reversed, so a leaked phrase means money gone with no chargeback. Write it on paper, store it offline and test the backup before adding funds. No genuine casino or wallet support agent will ever ask for it. Our guides to crypto casino scams and phishing scams list the common tricks.
Can I withdraw USDT Tether from a casino to my wallet?
Not at most of our partners, because they pay crypto in Bitcoin even when they take Tether in. Miami Club lists USDT deposits up to $2,500 but pays out in Bitcoin and Ethereum, and reviewers report USDT deposits at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness with Bitcoin payouts. That means a stablecoin deposit usually comes back as a coin whose price moves, which can change your dollar result. Have a Bitcoin receiving address ready before you deposit Tether. See USDT Tether casinos and our stablecoins guide.
Can I reuse the same casino deposit address every time?
Don't assume you can: copy the deposit address fresh from the cashier each time you deposit. A casino can change or expire addresses, and some deposit requests carry a time limit, so sending to an old one risks an uncredited deposit that can't be reversed. On the payout side, generating a fresh receiving address in your own wallet for each withdrawal is good practice, and saving a screenshot of every request gives you a record. Paste rather than type, and check the first and last characters. See wallet address and how to deposit with Bitcoin.
What is Coindraw at Silver Oak Casino?
Coindraw is a withdrawal option on Silver Oak's banking page, listed from $20 to $2,500 with a 5% fee, separate from its standard Bitcoin payout. It's a service that converts between the casino's cashier and crypto, so the casino's 5% is only part of the cost: read Coindraw's own rates too. On a $1,000 withdrawal, the casino fee alone is $50, compared with $0 to $40 on Silver Oak's Bitcoin route. Silver Oak also lists Changelly for deposits from $60 to $200. See Silver Oak banking and our crypto fees guide.
