Stablecoins guide for casino players

This stablecoins guide explains how dollar-pegged tokens such as USDT and USDC work for online casino deposits, and where they fall short. Several partner casinos list Tether for deposits, but none of our sources shows a stablecoin withdrawal option, so most players deposit in a stablecoin and cash out in Bitcoin or another coin.

Key takeaways

  • Stablecoins aim to hold $1 per token, which removes most price swings between buying and depositing.
  • Miami Club's own banking page lists Tether deposits from $25 to $2,500; other partners' stablecoin support is third-party reported.
  • No source we have shows a partner paying out in a stablecoin, so price risk returns at withdrawal.
  • Send only on the network the casino's deposit address names; a wrong network can lose the funds.
  • Partner casinos are offshore and not licensed by any US state; check your state's law first.

Stablecoins guide: what USDT and USDC actually are

A stablecoin is a crypto token designed to track a traditional currency, almost always the US dollar, so one token should be worth about $1. The two you will see at casinos are Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC). Each is issued by a private company that says it holds reserves to back the tokens.

That design solves the biggest problem with paying in Bitcoin: volatility. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau noted that, as of October 3, 2022, Bitcoin was down more than 70% from its November 2021 high. A dollar-pegged token held for the few minutes between buying and depositing avoids most of that swing.

A peg is a target, not a promise. It is not guaranteed by any US government agency, and the token is only as sound as its issuer. Our glossary entry on the stablecoin gives the short definition, and our USDT Tether casinos page covers the coin in banking terms. This page belongs to our wider set of US casino guides.

Why US casino players use stablecoins for deposits

Three practical reasons come up again and again, and one big caveat.

  • Card declines: many US banks block gambling merchant code 7995, so a card deposit can fail; crypto sidesteps the card network. See casino card declines.
  • Dollar budgeting: a $200 stablecoin deposit is still about $200 when it lands, which makes a fixed gambling budget easier to keep.
  • Fewer casino fees: partners that publish crypto deposit fees show none, while Silver Oak's own page lists card deposit fees of 3–10%.
  • The caveat: when you withdraw, our sources show partners paying in Bitcoin (and at some, Ethereum or Litecoin), not in stablecoins.

So a stablecoin protects the deposit leg only. Plan your exit before you put money in, using our guide on how to withdraw from an online casino.

Which partner casinos accept stablecoins?

Support varies, and for most partners it comes from third-party listings rather than the casino's own page. Here is what each source says.

Only Miami Club's banking page (opens in a new tab) lists Tether directly, with limits. Where a stablecoin appears only in a third-party listing, look for it in the cashier before you buy any.

Miami Club's Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted. Confirm your eligibility at sign-up.

How to deposit with USDT step by step

The process mirrors a Bitcoin deposit, with one extra check: the network. If you have never moved crypto before, start with how to set up a crypto wallet.

  1. Confirm the casino's cashier shows USDT or USDC today, and note its minimum and maximum (Miami Club: $25 to $2,500).
  2. Buy the stablecoin at a US exchange or app you already trust, and keep a note of what you paid in dollars.
  3. Move it to a wallet you control, or send directly from the exchange if it allows.
  4. In the casino cashier, choose the stablecoin and copy the deposit address it shows, including the network it names.
  5. In your wallet, pick that same network, paste the address, and check the first and last few characters.
  6. Send a small test amount first if the network fee is low enough to make that sensible.
  7. Wait for the transfer to confirm; our page on blockchain confirmations explains the wait.
  8. Check the cashier balance, then record the deposit for your budget and tax log.

Choosing the right network for a stablecoin deposit

USDT and USDC exist on more than one blockchain. A token on one network is not automatically visible on another, even when the address format looks similar. The casino's deposit screen should name the network it expects.

Sending on the wrong network is one of the few mistakes that can lose a deposit outright, because crypto transfers generally can't be reversed. If the cashier doesn't name the network, ask support before sending. Never guess.

Network fees also differ by chain and by how busy it is. Our crypto fees guide breaks those costs down, and our crypto wallets page covers wallet choice.

Stablecoin withdrawals: the cash-out gap in dollars

Because partners pay out in Bitcoin rather than stablecoins, price risk returns after the casino approves your payout. Here is a hypothetical example to show the arithmetic, not a forecast.

Hypothetical: a $1,000 payout sent in Bitcoin
Bitcoin price change before you sellValue of the payoutGain or loss vs $1,000
Up 5%$1,050+$50
No change$1,000$0
Down 5%$950−$50
Down 10%$900−$100

The longer the gap between the casino sending and you selling, the more room there is for movement. Some players convert straight to dollars or to a stablecoin at their exchange as soon as the payout lands. Check our answer on how long Bitcoin withdrawals take for partner timings.

Stablecoin risks: the peg, irreversibility and scams

Stablecoins remove one risk, not all of them. The Federal Trade Commission warns that crypto payments lack the legal protections of credit cards (opens in a new tab) and generally can't be reversed.

  • Peg risk: a stablecoin can trade below $1 if confidence in its issuer falls.
  • Issuer controls: the companies behind these tokens set their own policies, which can include freezing tokens at specific addresses.
  • Scams: the CFPB's crypto complaint bulletin (opens in a new tab) counted more than 8,300 complaints from October 2018 to September 2022, with fraud and scams the most common issue (40%) and money not available when promised at 16%.
  • No state backstop: an offshore casino balance is not protected by any US state regulator.

Watch for fake support agents and look-alike sites asking you to send tokens. Our guide to crypto casino scams lists the warning signs.

Stablecoins, US gambling law and taxes

Paying in a stablecoin doesn't change the legal picture. Whether online casino play is lawful for you depends on your state, and only seven states license online casinos. None of our partners holds any of those licenses. The Michigan Gaming Control Board named Planet 7 in an April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release (opens in a new tab) and Miami Club on August 14, 2025 (opens in a new tab), calling them illegal offshore operators; Royal Ace appears in none of those releases. Read are crypto casinos legal for the wider view.

Gambling winnings are taxable federal income in any currency. Buying, selling or swapping crypto can also have tax consequences of its own, so keep dated records of each conversion and check IRS guidance or a tax professional. Our gambling taxes guide covers the gambling side.

If budgeting in crypto is making it harder to keep track, that is a signal worth listening to. Free help is available 24/7 at 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738) or by NCPG helpline chat (opens in a new tab).

Stablecoin deposit problems and fixes

The deposit hasn't appeared

Look up the transaction ID in a block explorer for the network you used. If it is confirmed, send the ID to casino support; if it is still waiting, the network may be busy.

I sent on the wrong network

Contact support immediately with the transaction ID. Recovery is not always possible, and you should never send a second payment to anyone who promises to fix it for a fee.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use stablecoins at online casinos in the USA?

Yes, some offshore casinos that accept US players list USDT or USDC for deposits. Miami Club's own banking page lists Tether with a $25 minimum and $2,500 maximum, and third-party reviews list USDT at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. These casinos are not licensed by any US state, so check your state's law first. Our crypto casino legality answer explains the position.

Is USDT or USDC better for casino deposits?

Use whichever the casino's cashier lists, on the network it names. Among our partners, Tether (USDT) appears far more often; USDC shows up only in third-party listings for Silver Oak and Planet 7. Both aim to hold $1, and both are issued by private companies rather than a government. Our USDT Tether casinos page covers the more common option.

Can I withdraw casino winnings in a stablecoin?

Not at our partners, based on the sources we have. Their listed crypto payout options are Bitcoin, plus Ethereum at Miami Club and Litecoin at Slot Madness by one third-party listing. That means your payout carries price risk until you sell or convert it. See how long Bitcoin withdrawals take to judge how long that exposure lasts.

Are stablecoins safe for gambling deposits?

They reduce price risk but bring their own. A stablecoin can slip below $1, issuers can freeze tokens, and transfers generally can't be reversed, so a mistake or scam is hard to undo. Offshore casino balances also have no US state protection. Use small test sends and verified addresses. Our guide to crypto casino scams covers the main traps.

What happens if I send USDT on the wrong network?

The tokens may not reach the casino's account and may be hard or impossible to recover. Contact support right away with the transaction ID and the network you used, and never pay a stranger who offers recovery for a fee. Before every deposit, match the network shown in the cashier. Our crypto wallet setup guide explains networks in plain terms.

Do casinos charge fees on stablecoin deposits?

None of our partners publishes a casino fee on crypto deposits, and Miami Club's banking page says deposits carry no fee. You still pay the blockchain's network fee and any exchange charges when you buy. Those vary by network and platform. Our crypto fees guide shows how the layers add up in dollars.

Do bonuses apply to stablecoin deposits?

It depends on each casino's bonus terms, and none of our partners publishes stablecoin-specific bonus rules in the sources we have. Some crypto promotions name particular coins, so check the offer's terms and the cashier before you send. Remember that bonus funds are slot-focused and come with wagering, so read what a crypto bonus is before you opt in.

Do I owe taxes when I use stablecoins to gamble?

Gambling winnings are taxable federal income however you are paid, and converting crypto can create separate tax events. Keep a dated record of each purchase, deposit, payout and sale in dollars. From the 2026 tax year, the gambling loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses; check IRS guidance. See our gambling loss deduction page.

What are Miami Club's Tether deposit limits?

Miami Club's own banking page lists Tether (USDT) deposits from $25 up to $2,500 per transaction, with no casino fee on deposits. Withdrawals are listed in Bitcoin and Ethereum rather than Tether, so your payout carries crypto price risk until you sell. The same page lists a $2,500 weekly cap for Bitcoin and bank wire, while the Terms of Use mention $5,000 a week, so ask support which applies. Miami Club's Terms of Use (v2.1, §1.6) list the US as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the affiliate program accepts US players, so confirm at sign-up. See Miami Club banking and USDT casinos.

Does SlotoCash accept USDT deposits?

SlotoCash's own pages conflict on USDT: its promotions page references Tether, but its banking page doesn't list it, while a third-party listing does show USDT. Its listed crypto withdrawal option is Bitcoin. Before you buy any stablecoin for a SlotoCash deposit, open the cashier and confirm that USDT and the network it uses appear there. If it doesn't, Bitcoin is the listed crypto route. SlotoCash is offshore, not licensed by any US state, and was named in Michigan's October 8, 2026 cease-and-desist release. Our SlotoCash banking page and the Bitcoin casinos overview track its payment methods.

Does Planet 7 accept USDT or USDC?

Third-party reviews list USDT among Planet 7's deposit coins, and one reviewer adds USDC, but the casino's own banking page couldn't be checked, so look in the cashier first. Withdrawals are reported in Bitcoin, plus bank wire and check, not in stablecoins. Reviews also report a $30 card minimum and, on its 200% welcome match, 30x wagering and a $1,000 max cashout. Planet 7 is offshore and was named in Michigan's April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release. Read our Planet 7 Bitcoin and crypto page and the best USDT casinos list before depositing.

Can Tether freeze my USDT?

Yes, stablecoin issuers set their own policies, and those can include freezing tokens held at specific addresses. That is one of the trade-offs of a dollar-pegged token run by a private company rather than a government. A freeze, a slip below the $1 peg or a wrong-network send can all leave tokens unusable, and crypto transfers generally can't be reversed. Hold stablecoins only for the short gap between buying and depositing, in a wallet you control. Our stablecoin glossary entry and the guide to setting up a crypto wallet explain how to keep that window short.

How do I turn a Bitcoin casino payout back into dollars?

Send the Bitcoin payout to an exchange account you trust and sell it for dollars, or swap it into a stablecoin, as soon as it lands. Every hour you hold it is exposed to price swings: on a $1,000 payout, a 5% drop costs $50 and a 10% drop $100. Weekly caps of $2,500 to $5,000 at partners mean a large win arrives in several installments, each with its own exposure. Record the dollar value on arrival and at sale for your tax log. Our guides on cashing out big wins and keeping gambling records cover the paperwork.

Is USDT better than a credit card for casino deposits?

USDT avoids the card declines and card fees that trip up many US deposits, but it gives up the dispute rights a card offers. Many banks block gambling merchant code 7995, and Silver Oak's own page lists card deposit fees of 3–10%, against no published casino fee for crypto deposits. On a $200 deposit, that card fee would be $6 to $20. The trade-off is that a stablecoin transfer generally can't be reversed, while a card payment can be disputed. Read about card declines and chargebacks at casinos before you choose.
