Best free chip casinos

The best free chip casinos among our partners are Silver Oak, which publishes $25, $50 and $100 no deposit chip codes with 30x wagering and a $100 cashout cap, and Decode, whose site advertises a $111 free chip. Miami Club, Planet 7 and Slot Madness also list or are reported to offer chips. Every chip comes with wagering and a cap, so read those first.

Key takeaways

  • Silver Oak publishes the clearest free chip terms: codes SILVER25, SILVER50 and FREESILVER, 30x wagering (60x on blackjack and video poker) and a $100 max cashout.
  • Decode advertises a $111 free chip on its own site, but no terms were visible there; reviewers report a separate 50-spin no deposit code at 40x with a $200 cap.
  • A $25 chip at 30x needs $750 of bets; at a 3.75% house edge the expected loss is about $28, so most chips are a trial, not a payout.
  • Some casinos require a deposit before a free chip win can be withdrawn, such as the $25 deposit in Miami Club’s terms.
  • All five casinos are offshore and not licensed by any US state. 21+ (18+ where allowed); terms apply.

Best free chip casinos: the straight answer

Silver Oak tops this list because it publishes its no deposit chip codes and their rules on its own site: SILVER25 for $25, SILVER50 for $50 and FREESILVER for $100, each at 30x wagering with a $100 max cashout. No other partner puts chip terms in writing this fully.

Decode is second on chip size. Its site headline promises a “$111 Free Chip”, though the terms didn’t display in readable form. Miami Club lists a monthly $20 chip code, while Planet 7 and Slot Madness are reported by third-party reviewers to offer $25 chips.

A free chip is bonus credit you get without depositing, but it isn’t cash. Wagering, game limits and a cap stand between the chip and a withdrawal. All five casinos are offshore; the best online casinos hub explains what that means for US players.

What a no deposit free chip is, and what it isn’t

A free chip is a fixed amount of bonus credit, often $10 to $100, added after you enter a code. Unlike free spins, which lock you to one slot at a set stake, a chip lets you choose the game and bet size within the casino’s limits.

Three conditions shape every chip. Wagering sets how much you must bet before winnings convert. A max cashout caps what you can withdraw, whatever you win. And many casinos add a deposit requirement before the first withdrawal, so a chip often leads to a deposit anyway.

Free chips are a type of no deposit bonus. Sweepstakes casinos also hand out free coins, but those work under a different model and aren’t real-money chips; our sweepstakes vs real money casinos guide explains the difference.

How we ranked the best free chip casinos

  1. Whether the chip and its terms are published on the casino’s own site, or only reported by third parties.
  2. Chip size and whether codes are named.
  3. Wagering multiple and game weighting.
  4. Max cashout and any deposit needed before withdrawal.
  5. Regulator actions and complaints about honoring chips.

Royal Ace, a partner, is left out because the only chip evidence is unverified user comments about past offers. SlotoCash also misses the list: its general terms cap free bonus cashouts at $25 to $200, but no current chip code is recorded for it. Both remain on our no deposit bonus casinos page for context.

We earn a commission when readers join through our links. The ranking combines that commercial relationship with the criteria above; it isn’t a score or a test result.

1. Silver Oak: $25, $50 and $100 chips with published rules

Silver Oak’s no deposit page (opens in a new tab) lists three codes: SILVER25 ($25), SILVER50 ($50) and FREESILVER ($100). Each carries 30x wagering, rising to 60x on blackjack and video poker, and a $100 max cashout. Its general terms phrase the cap as 1x the bonus with a minimum of $100, which gives the same $100 on a $25 to $100 chip.

So the most you can withdraw from any of the three is $100, and the $100 chip offers no headroom above its own value. The $25 chip needs $750 of bets at 30x, the $100 chip $3,000. Silver Oak also lists birthday chips valid for seven days and VIP appreciation chips of $100 to $700.

Silver Oak names its operator, Primrose Media Limited, and an Anjouan license; a third-party listing says it has no license. The Michigan board named it in the April 9, 2025 release (opens in a new tab). Its welcome offer via our link is separate: Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). See our Silver Oak no deposit bonus page.

2. Decode: a $111 chip advertised, terms not shown

Decode’s own site (opens in a new tab) headlines a “$111 Free Chip + Crypto Bonus”. The wagering, cap and code for that chip weren’t visible in readable form, so ask live chat for the terms before you play it.

Third-party reviewers report a different no deposit offer: code RTG50GRANDE for 50 spins on RTG’s 777 slot at 40x, with a $200 max cashout and a $10 max bet. Reviewers also record member complaints that no deposit codes weren’t honored, and a dispute over max bet after a large win. Read those as allegations, not findings.

Decode’s welcome offer via our link: Decode Casino: $5,000 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Reviewers report DECODE111 at 25x deposit plus bonus with a $25 minimum. Decode is reported to refuse players from Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington. Our Decode no deposit bonus page has more.

3. Miami Club: a $20 monthly chip with conflicting caps

Miami Club’s promotions page (opens in a new tab) lists MIFREE20: $20 free each month. Its bonus terms (opens in a new tab) set no deposit wagering at 40x and cap the payout at 5x the bonus, which is $100 on a $20 chip. Its Terms of Use (section 3.2) give a $150 cap instead. The two documents conflict, so plan for $100.

Two more rules matter. The bonus terms require a $25 deposit before a free bonus can be cashed out, and accounts with no deposit lose their balance after 60 days inactive. At 40x, the $20 chip needs $800 of bets, about $30 of expected loss at a 3.75% edge.

Eligibility is a live question: the Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as prohibited, while the site owner’s affiliate program confirms US players are accepted. Confirm at sign-up. Miami Club runs WGS software and was named by the Michigan board on August 14, 2025 (opens in a new tab). Its welcome offer: Miami Club Casino: $4,000 Bonus + 285 Bonus Games, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply), with 20x deposit plus bonus on matches up to 100% per its terms.

4. Planet 7: a $25 chip reported at 30x

Third-party reviewers report a $25 free chip at Planet 7 under code 25FREECHIP, though the same reviewer’s table names it MY25FREE. Reported terms are 30x on slots and 60x on table games and video poker, a $100 max withdrawal, and no credit for baccarat, roulette or craps.

None of this was read on Planet 7’s own site, so check both codes in the cashier. Claims seen on unofficial mirror sites, including larger chips, aren’t confirmed and aren’t repeated here.

Planet 7’s welcome offer: Planet 7 Casino: $2,750 Welcome Bonus + 45 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Reviewers report 30x deposit plus bonus and a $1,000 max cashout on WELCOME200. The Michigan board named Planet 7 on April 9, 2025. See the Planet 7 no deposit bonus page.

5. Slot Madness: a $25 no deposit bonus, terms unreported

One third-party reviewer lists a “$25 NO DEPOSIT BONUS” at Slot Madness without wagering, code or cap. That makes it the thinnest entry here, kept because it is the only other partner with a reported chip.

Ask support for the multiple and the cashout cap before you redeem anything. Reviewers report a $2,500 weekly withdrawal cap and say the casino doesn’t accept players from Ohio.

Its welcome offer: Slot Madness Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Reviewers report MAD275 at 30x deposit plus bonus with a $30 minimum and no max cashout. The Michigan board named Slot Madness on August 14, 2025. More in the Slot Madness review.

Silver Oak and Miami Club are the only two where the chip and its rules come from the casino itself. Decode has a bigger chip but less paperwork behind it.

What a free chip is worth after wagering

Expected loss equals total bets times house edge. We use 3.75%, the edge implied by the 96.25% RTP a third-party catalog reports for Sweet 16. Results in any one session vary widely, and many chips run out before wagering is finished.

Free chip arithmetic (illustrative, 3.75% house edge)
ChipWageringTotal betsExpected loss on betsMax you can cash out
$20 Miami Club40x$800$30.00$100 or $150
$25 Silver Oak or Planet 730x$750$28.13$100
$50 Silver Oak30x$1,500$56.25$100
$100 Silver Oak30x$3,000$112.50$100

In every row, the expected loss on the required bets is larger than the chip. Your own money isn’t at stake while you play the chip, but the realistic outcome is a short trial of the games, with a small chance of reaching the cap. Treat a chip as a way to try a casino, not as income. The expected value of a bonus guide shows the full method.

How to claim a free chip and cash out the winnings

  1. Read the chip’s terms on the casino’s promotions page: wagering, eligible games, max bet and max cashout.
  2. Register with your real details; the name must match your ID and payment method later.
  3. Enter the code in the cashier, or ask live chat to add it if the field rejects it.
  4. Play eligible slots only, at stakes inside the max bet, until wagering shows as complete.
  5. Check whether a deposit is needed before withdrawal ($25 at Miami Club, per its terms).
  6. Send your ID and proof of address for verification, then request the payout within the cap.

Silver Oak’s terms require a government photo ID, a selfie with it and a recent utility bill before any withdrawal. Completing that early avoids a stalled first cashout.

Other no deposit free chip casinos you’ll see

A few non-partner brands also list chips. They aren’t ranked here, and these facts are as recorded on October 28, 2026:

  • Jackpot Capital: a $15 free welcome bonus with code JCWELCOME15 for players within 30 days of joining, per an undated operator blog post; its terms set general deposit coupons at 30x deposit plus bonus.
  • Uptown Aces: “$10 free bonus just for joining”, with no terms given on the page.

Both are smaller than Silver Oak’s chips and come with fewer published conditions. Our free chip bonus page and the $100 free chip explainer cover chip terms in more depth.

Free chip mistakes that void winnings

  • Playing excluded games. Silver Oak excludes roulette, baccarat, craps and more; Planet 7 reportedly gives baccarat, roulette and craps no credit.
  • Betting above the max bet. Decode’s reported RTG50GRANDE rule is $10, and one reviewer logged a dispute over max bet after a big win.
  • Claiming chips back to back. SlotoCash’s terms warn that consecutive free bonuses may void bonuses and winnings.
  • Opening a second account to claim a chip twice. That breaks casino rules and can void every balance; see bonus abuse rules.
  • Leaving a chip balance idle. Miami Club clears deposit-free balances after 60 days inactive.

If a casino refuses to honor a chip, collect screenshots of the terms and the chat, and follow our steps on how to file a casino complaint.

Seven states license real-money online casinos: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. The casinos here aren’t licensed by any of them, so a chip dispute has no state regulator behind it. State law decides legality for players, and several states have also banned sweepstakes casinos in 2025 and 2026.

Michigan’s regulator calls the partners it named illegal offshore operators, and we show no offers on the Michigan page. Read whether offshore casinos are legal and check your own state first. A no-cost chip can still lead to deposits; if play stops being fun, call or text 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738).

Frequently asked questions

Which casino gives the best free chip for US players?

Among our partners, Silver Oak publishes the clearest free chips: $25, $50 and $100 codes at 30x with a $100 max cashout. Decode advertises a larger $111 chip on its site, but no terms were shown there, so confirm with support before you play it. Miami Club lists a $20 monthly chip. Weigh the terms, not just the size. Our Silver Oak bonus codes page lists its current codes.

What is a free chip at the casinos on this list?

A free chip is bonus credit, usually $10 to $100, that a casino adds without a deposit. You choose the games within its rules, but you must meet wagering, stay under the max bet and accept a cap on what you withdraw. It is a type of no deposit bonus, not cash. Our explainer on what a free chip is gives worked examples.

Can a free chip from these casinos win real money?

Yes, but the amount you can withdraw is capped, usually at $100 to $200. Silver Oak caps its chips at $100, Decode’s reported spin code at $200 and Miami Club at 5x the bonus or $150, depending on which of its documents you read. Most chips run out before wagering finishes. See can you win real money online for the house-edge context.

Do I need to deposit to cash out a free chip?

Sometimes you do. Miami Club’s bonus terms require a $25 deposit before a free bonus can be cashed out. Silver Oak doesn’t state a deposit rule for its chips, but it requires full identity checks before any withdrawal. Ask support before you play the chip, so you aren’t surprised at cashout. Our no deposit bonus answer covers the common conditions.

What wagering do free chips usually have?

At our partners, chip wagering runs from 30x to 40x. Silver Oak publishes 30x (60x on blackjack and video poker), Planet 7 is reported at 30x on slots, and Miami Club and Decode’s reported spin code sit at 40x. A $25 chip at 30x means $750 of bets. Our bonus wagering requirements page explains how to check progress.

Can I use a free chip on blackjack or roulette?

Usually not on roulette, and blackjack counts poorly. Silver Oak excludes roulette, baccarat and craps and sets 60x on blackjack; Planet 7 reportedly gives roulette, baccarat and craps no credit; Miami Club forbids roulette with a bonus and counts blackjack at 5%. Slots are where chips are meant to be played. Our game weighting explained guide shows the effect.

Are free chip bonus codes still working?

Only the cashier can confirm that, because codes change without notice. Silver Oak and Miami Club list their chip codes on their own sites; the Planet 7 and Decode codes here come from third-party reviewers, and one Planet 7 code appears under two different names. If a code fails, ask live chat. Our expired bonus codes page explains what to do next.

Is a free chip casino safe?

A free chip doesn’t make a casino safe or unsafe; licensing, payouts and regulator records do. All five casinos here are offshore with no US state license, and four have been named in Michigan cease-and-desist actions. Reviewers also report slow payouts and some disputes over chips. Our legit casinos list looks at the evidence for each.

How much can I win with Silver Oak's $100 free chip?

No more than $100 can be withdrawn, so the FREESILVER chip's cap equals its own value. Silver Oak's no deposit page sets a $100 max cashout on all three codes, and its general terms put it as 1x the bonus with a $100 minimum. You'd also need $3,000 of bets at 30x before anything converts, with an expected loss of about $112 at a 3.75% edge. The $25 SILVER25 chip offers the same $100 ceiling for $750 of wagering, so it has more upside relative to size. See our $100 free chip explainer and max cashout rules.

Does SlotoCash have a free chip?

No current SlotoCash free chip code is recorded, which is why it isn't ranked on this page. Its general terms do cover free bonuses: cashouts from them are capped between $25 and $200, and claiming free bonuses back to back may void bonuses and winnings. SlotoCash's regular promotions are deposit-based, such as rotating coded reloads and instant cashback on Monday to Wednesday deposits. If a chip appears in its promotions, read the cap and wagering before redeeming it. Our SlotoCash no deposit bonus page tracks what the casino publishes.

How long does a free chip last before it expires?

It varies by casino, and some don't publish a deadline at all. Silver Oak's birthday chips are valid for seven days, while SlotoCash's general bonus terms give bonuses 90 days. Miami Club doesn't set an expiry on its welcome bonus but clears the balance of deposit-free accounts after 60 days of inactivity, which catches idle chips. Decode's and Planet 7's chip deadlines aren't published. If you claim a chip, plan to play it through soon rather than leaving it sitting. Our bonus expiry guide explains how deadlines work.

Can I claim a free chip at an online casino in New York?

New York's Gaming Commission says online casinos, including ones that claim to be sweepstakes, are unlawful in the state, and S5935-A banned sweepstakes casinos from December 5, 2025. Lawful online wagering there is limited to licensed sports betting and a few other forms. On the partner side, reviewers report that Decode refuses New York players. A free chip doesn't change the legal picture, even though no deposit is involved. Read our New York online casino page and the sweepstakes casino bans explainer before signing up anywhere.

Is a free chip better than no deposit free spins?

A chip gives you more control, while spins give you a set number of fixed-stake rounds. With a chip you choose the slot and bet size inside the max bet; spins lock you to one game, such as the 777 slot on Decode's reported RTG50GRANDE code. Caps differ too: Silver Oak's $25 chip carries 30x and a $100 cap, while Decode's reported 50 spins carry 40x and a $200 cap. Compare the wagering and the cap, not the headline. Our answer on how free spins work covers the spin side.

Are free chip winnings taxable?

Yes, money you withdraw from a free chip is gambling winnings, and gambling winnings are taxable federal income. It doesn't matter that you didn't deposit or that the casino is offshore. W-2G reporting for slot wins starts at $2,000 for payments in 2026, but income below that is still taxable. From tax year 2026, the loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses and only up to winnings; check IRS guidance. Keep a record of the chip, your play and any payout. Our answer on paying tax on casino winnings explains the rules.
