Expired bonus codes are codes the casino no longer accepts because the promotion has ended or been replaced. They are different from a bonus that expires after you claim it, when the clearing window runs out before you finish the wagering. Both are set by the casino's terms, and the fix for an expired code is to find the current offer, not to hunt for old ones.

Expired bonus codes: what the term means
When a cashier rejects a code as expired, the promotion behind it has ended. Casinos rotate codes for seasons, game launches and anniversaries, then retire them. A code can also stop working because the casino replaced it with a new one for the same offer.
People also use the phrase for a second problem: a bonus that was claimed but ran out of time before the wagering was complete. That is bonus expiry, and it usually costs more, because the bonus and any winnings tied to it can be lost. Our casino bonuses hub covers how each bonus type works.

Expired bonus codes only affect the first row. Read each clock separately. A code that is still accepted can come with a short clearing window, and a bonus with no clearing limit can still be tied to a code that ends next week.
Bonus expiry rules at partner casinos
The table below lists what our partners publish. Where a clock is not stated, we say so rather than guess.
Royal Ace and Slot Madness are not featured in the offers on this page because no expiry rules for either were found on record. If you play there, ask support for the clearing window in writing.
Why casinos retire bonus codes
Codes expire for practical reasons. Seasonal promotions end with the season, anniversary codes tie to a date, and new-game codes run while the game is new. SlotoCash's promotions page, for instance, ties one reload to its 19 years online, and lists other reloads with their own minimums and multipliers, such as 27x on a $30 minimum and 15x on a $25 minimum.
Casinos also replace codes when they change terms. A code with the same name can return later with a different multiplier or cap, so an old screenshot of terms is not proof of today's rules. Our bonus codes guide explains the usual code types and our bonus codes that work page shows how to find live ones.
Expired bonus codes and time pressure in dollars
A clearing window turns wagering into a daily target. Take a $100 deposit with a $100 match at 25x deposit + bonus, which is SlotoCash's published welcome rate: $200 × 25 = $5,000 of wagering. Over SlotoCash's 90-day window, that is about $55.56 a day. At $1 a spin, roughly 56 spins a day.
Shorten the window and the pressure jumps. A hypothetical $25 chip at 30x needs $750 of play; over a 7-day window like Silver Oak's birthday chips, that is about $107 a day. On a 96.25% RTP slot (a 3.75% edge), the expected loss on $750 is $28.13, more than the chip itself.

A no-expiry rule, like Miami Club's for deposit bonuses, removes the time pressure but not the cost. If a deadline pushes you to play longer or faster than you planned, the better choice is to let the bonus go. Our gambling budget guide can help set limits.
What happens when a claimed bonus expires
Expiry clauses differ, so the exact outcome depends on your casino's wording. Commonly, the unfinished bonus and any winnings linked to it are removed, while your own deposit balance may remain. Some casinos treat deposit and bonus as one locked balance, which can make the loss larger.
A cashier often gives the same error whether a code has expired or you simply don't qualify. Before you assume a code is dead, check these causes, all drawn from our partners' published terms.

If none of these applies, the code has most likely ended. Ask live chat for the current equivalent and its terms, and get them in writing. Watch for unofficial mirror sites and old code lists that show terms the casino never published. Our pages on bonus codes that work, why a bonus was removed and reading casino terms cover the next checks.
What not to do with an expired casino bonus code
Don't trust old code lists. Many review pages and unofficial mirror sites still show codes that ended months ago, sometimes with terms the casino never published. See casino mirror sites.
Don't open a second account to reuse a new-player code. Casinos treat that as bonus abuse and can close accounts and void winnings.
Don't deposit first and hope. Without a confirmed code, you may end up with no bonus or a different one.
Don't chase a missed deadline. If a bonus expires, the money spent is gone; trying to win it back usually means losing more. Our chasing losses guide explains why.
Comp points and dormant balances expire too
Loyalty rewards have their own clocks. Silver Oak's comp points, at 100 points to $1, expire after 12 months. SlotoCash pays comp points at the same rate, and its terms void balances after 12 consecutive months without login, though management may restore them. Miami Club removes a real-money balance after 12 months without login but says it can be reinstated on request.
Expiry rules at offshore casinos are whatever the casino's terms say, and they can change. Our partners are offshore and not licensed or regulated by any US state; real-money online casinos are licensed only in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. With no state regulator, a dispute over an expired bonus goes to the casino alone.
Instead of chasing expired bonus codes, these partners have current offers through our links and publish their bonus expiry rules. All three are offshore and not licensed by any US state, so check your state's law first. Players must be 21+ (18+ where allowed) and terms apply. We earn a commission, and the order reflects that commercial relationship. Free spins and bonuses are slot-focused; table games are often excluded or weighted lower.
SlotoCash Casino: $6,000 Welcome Bonus + 60 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Its welcome bonus terms (opens in a new tab) set 25x deposit + bonus, a $20 minimum per bonus and a $10 max bet, with no max cashout on the homepage and 90 days to clear under its general terms. The site advertises $7,777 + 300 spins, so the terms at sign-up apply. The Michigan Gaming Control Board's October 8, 2026 release (opens in a new tab) named SlotoCash.
Miami Club Casino: $4,000 Bonus + 285 Bonus Games, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Its bonus terms (opens in a new tab) set 20x deposit + bonus at or below a 100% match, no cap on deposit bonuses and no expiry; the site's own package is up to $800 over eight deposits. Its Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm eligibility at sign-up. Miami Club runs WGS (Wager Gaming) software and was named in the board's August 14, 2025 order (opens in a new tab).
Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Its offer page lists 30x (60x blackjack and video poker) and no max withdrawal on a separate $10,000 package, its terms say 40x, and deposits start at $30; welcome expiry is not published. The Michigan board named Silver Oak on April 9, 2025.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the casino say my bonus code has expired?
Because the promotion behind it has ended or been replaced. Casinos retire seasonal, anniversary and launch codes regularly, and old lists keep showing them long after. Check the casino's promotions page or cashier for the current offer, and ask live chat if you are unsure. Our bonus codes that work page explains how to find live codes and avoid stale ones.
Can a casino reactivate an expired bonus code?
Sometimes support can offer a current equivalent, but there is no right to an ended promotion. Ask politely, quote the code and where you found it, and accept the casino's current offer if one exists. Do not open new accounts to reuse old codes, which casinos treat as abuse. See bonus abuse rules for what counts.
How long do I have to use a casino bonus after claiming it?
It depends on the casino. SlotoCash's general terms give 90 days from redemption, Miami Club's terms say deposit bonuses stay active until wagering is met, and Silver Oak does not publish a welcome bonus expiry. Small chips can be much shorter, like Silver Oak's 7-day birthday chips. Our bonus expiry page explains the usual rules.
What happens to winnings tied to an expired bonus code?
Usually, the unfinished bonus and winnings tied to it are removed, though wording varies by casino. Your own deposit balance may remain if the casino separates cash and bonus funds. Read your casino's expiry clause before claiming. If you hold a bonus you cannot finish, our can I cancel a bonus answer explains when forfeiting early makes sense.
Do free spins expire faster than deposit bonuses?
Often they do, but our partners' terms on record do not give a specific free-spin window. Short validity is common on small rewards; Silver Oak's birthday chips, for example, last 7 days. Use free spins soon after they are credited and check the terms for any time limit. Our free spins guide covers how spin winnings are usually handled.
Can unused comp points expire too?
At some casinos, yes. Silver Oak's comp points expire after 12 months, and SlotoCash's terms void balances after 12 consecutive months without login, which affects unredeemed value too. Redeem points you want to keep before a long break. The comp points guide explains conversion rates, which are 100 points to $1 at both casinos.
Are expired codes on mirror sites a scam?
Not always a scam, but they are unreliable. Unofficial mirror sites copy a casino's name and often list codes that ended long ago or terms the real casino never published. They are not confirmed as run by the operator. Use the casino's own site instead. Our what is a mirror site answer explains how to tell the difference.
Should I rush to clear a bonus before it expires?
No. A deadline is not a reason to play longer or bet more than you planned. If you cannot finish the wagering comfortably within your budget, let the bonus go. Losses are likely over time because of the house edge, and chasing a deadline makes that worse. Our deposit limits page shows how to set limits that help.
Do SlotoCash bonus codes expire?
Yes, SlotoCash rotates many of its coded reloads, so a code you saw last month may have been replaced. Its welcome codes, SLOTO1MATCH to SLOTO5MATCH, are listed on the casino's own site, and its general terms give 90 days from redemption to clear a bonus. The welcome terms also say a coupon must be redeemed before the deposit, or right after it and before any wager, and the five codes must be used in order. Check the promotions page or cashier for what's live today on our SlotoCash bonus codes page.
Do Silver Oak bonus codes expire?
Silver Oak doesn't publish an end date or a clearing window for its welcome codes, so ask support before you claim. Its new member page lists codes SILVEROAK1 to SILVEROAK10 for a 100% match on each of the first ten deposits, and its no-deposit page lists SILVER25, SILVER50 and FREESILVER, capped at a $100 cashout. Its birthday chips are valid for seven days, the shortest window it publishes. Codes can change at any time, so confirm them in the cashier. See our Silver Oak bonus codes page.
Why do review sites list Decode bonus codes that don't work?
Most Decode codes you'll see come from third-party listings, because Decode's own site showed no bonus terms when checked. Those listings date quickly. LCB, for example, reported a seasonal Decode offer with an October 31, 2026 end date, which has now passed, alongside other codes with no end date given. Codes that worked for one reviewer may since have been retired or changed. Treat any Decode code as unconfirmed until the cashier accepts it and shows the terms. Our Decode bonus codes page notes what's been reported.
Can I still get a bonus if I deposited with an expired code?
Usually not, because most casinos only attach a bonus at the moment you redeem a valid code. SlotoCash's welcome terms say a coupon must be redeemed before the deposit, or right after it and before any wager. If your code was rejected and you deposited anyway, you're likely playing with no bonus. That's not all bad: with no bonus active, there's no wagering or max bet. Contact live chat before your first bet if you want a current offer added. Our guide to how to claim a casino bonus covers the right order.
Does Miami Club's MIFREE20 code expire?
Miami Club's promotions page lists MIFREE20 as a $20 free bonus each month, so it renews monthly rather than running indefinitely, but the summary doesn't give an end date for each month's claim. Its bonus terms set 40x wagering on no-deposit bonuses, cap the payout at 5x the bonus or $150 depending on the page, and require a $25 deposit before a free bonus can be withdrawn. Deposit-free accounts lose their balance after 60 days inactive. Its Terms of Use (section 1.6) list the US as prohibited, while the affiliate program confirms US players are accepted. See Miami Club no deposit bonus.
What happens if a bonus code expires while I'm still wagering?
Usually nothing changes for you, because a code's end date controls new claims, not bonuses already in your account. What matters then is the clearing window in the bonus terms. At SlotoCash, that's 90 days from redemption under its general terms, and Miami Club says its deposit bonuses stay active until wagering is met. If a casino retires a code you've already claimed, ask live chat to confirm your bonus and remaining wagering are unaffected, and save the reply. Our bonus expiry page explains the clearing clocks.
