Louisiana online casino bonuses

Louisiana online casino bonuses come only from offshore sites, since the state licenses no online casino. A bonus adds credit to your balance, but you must wager a multiple of it, often 25 to 35 times the deposit plus bonus, before any of it can be withdrawn, and the house edge works against you the whole time.

LA No state casinos; sweepstakes banned · Louisiana guide

Key takeaways

  • No Louisiana-licensed online casino exists, so every casino bonus a Louisiana player sees is from an offshore site the LGCB doesn't regulate.
  • SlotoCash's own terms set 25x (deposit + bonus) on its welcome package, with no max cashout and a $10 max bet.
  • Wagering turns a bonus into a cost: a $300 balance at 25x means $7,500 in bets before you can cash out.
  • Bonuses are slot-focused; table games and video poker are often excluded or count for less.
  • Sweepstakes coin offers ended in Louisiana when Act 182 took effect on August 1, 2026.

Louisiana online casino bonuses: what's on offer and who offers it

Players in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport see plenty of casino bonus ads, but none come from a Louisiana-licensed online casino, because there isn't one. The offers come from offshore casinos, and the licensed sportsbooks in the state run their own sports promotions, which this page doesn't cover.

Before looking at any bonus, it helps to know the legal backdrop on the Louisiana online casinos hub. In short, the state regulator treats offshore wagering as illegal, offshore partners aren't licensed by any US state, and bonus terms are whatever the casino writes.

How Louisiana law affects casino bonus offers

The Louisiana Gaming Control Board announced action against illegal offshore wagering (opens in a new tab) on June 17, 2025, citing the gambling by computer law, La. R.S. 14:90.3. Its annual report records more than 40 cease-and-desist letters to offshore and sweepstakes operators in fiscal year 2024–2025.

In 2026 the state also closed the sweepstakes route. HB 883 (opens in a new tab), signed as Act 182 and effective August 1, 2026, defines dual-currency casino games as illegal gambling by computer, so Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin welcome packages should no longer be offered to Louisiana players. Our Louisiana gambling laws page covers both measures.

Accepting a bonus doesn't change the legal position. It does add a contract: the casino's bonus terms, which can void winnings if you break a rule.

How wagering works on Louisiana online casino bonuses, in dollars

Wagering, also called playthrough, is the total you must bet before bonus money becomes withdrawable. Most offshore casinos multiply it by the deposit plus the bonus, not the bonus alone, which makes the number much bigger than it first looks. Read wagering requirements explained for the full method.

Example: a 200% match at 25x

SlotoCash's welcome terms set 25x (deposit + bonus). Its first-deposit match is 200%; a third-party review lists it as up to $2,000. Deposit $100, receive $200 in bonus, and you hold $300. At 25x, you must bet $7,500 before withdrawing.

Now apply the house edge. As an illustration, on slots with a 4% house edge, $7,500 in bets has an expected cost of $300. In other words, on average the wagering uses up roughly the whole balance. Results vary widely in either direction, which is why some players finish with a profit and many finish with nothing.

Wagering math for sample offers (illustrative 4% house edge)
Offer (source type)DepositBonusWageringTotal to betExpected cost
SlotoCash 200% match at 25x (primary terms)$100$20025x deposit + bonus$7,500$300
Decode 111% match at 25x (third-party)$100$11125x deposit + bonus$5,275$211
Decode 400% sign-up at 35x (third-party)$25$10035x deposit + bonus$4,375$175

The 4% edge is an assumption for the arithmetic, not a published figure for any game. Use our bonus value calculator method with the real terms and game return before you claim.

Game rules: why table games rarely count

Bonus terms list which games count and by how much. SlotoCash's welcome terms allow slots, Real-Series video slots (not progressive jackpot slots), keno and scratch cards, and say play on other games voids promotion winnings. Its general bonus terms exclude progressives, video poker, table games and specialty games by default.

Where table games are allowed, they usually count for a fraction. Miami Club's bonus terms, for comparison, count video poker at 10% and blackjack at 5%, so $100 of blackjack clears only $5 of wagering. Check the terms; never assume a bonus can be used on table games. Our game weighting guide has more examples.

Max bet, expiry and max cashout rules

  • Max bet: SlotoCash caps bets at $10 a spin while a bonus is active. Betting over the limit can void the bonus and winnings.
  • Expiry: SlotoCash's welcome terms don't state one; its general terms give 90 days from redemption. Third-party reviews report 90 days at Decode.
  • Max cashout: SlotoCash's welcome package has no max cashout, according to the casino. Some other offers cap withdrawals at a multiple of the bonus or deposit.
  • Order: SlotoCash requires welcome bonuses to be claimed in order with deposits one to five.
  • Pending withdrawals: SlotoCash says you can't claim bonuses while a withdrawal is pending.

See max cashout rules and bonus expiry for how these terms catch players out.

Headline sizes say little on their own. The table sets each casino's own published package, or the reported terms where its site shows none, against the rules that decide what it's worth. These are the packages on the casinos' sites, not the offers via our links, which carry their own headlines and terms shown at sign-up.

Silver Oak$10,000: 100% on each of ten deposits30x (offer page) or 40x (terms) on slots$30No max withdrawalCasino site

Lower wagering changes the math more than a bigger match. A $100 deposit with Miami Club's 100% match gives $200 to play, and 20x that is $4,000 of bets, or $160 of expected cost at an illustrative 4% house edge. SlotoCash's 200% first match on the same $100 means $7,500 of bets and $300 of expected cost, with more bonus money on the table. Silver Oak doesn't say whether its multiple applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus, so ask support before you work it out.

Miami Club runs WGS (Wager Gaming) software rather than RTG. Its Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm eligibility at sign-up. For more low-multiple offers, see our low wagering bonuses page.

How to claim a casino bonus from Louisiana, step by step

  1. Read the bonus terms in full: wagering, eligible games, max bet, expiry and max cashout.
  2. Verify your account first, so a later withdrawal isn't held up by ID checks.
  3. Enter any coupon in the cashier before depositing, or straight after and before your first bet; SlotoCash's terms require this order.
  4. Deposit at least the minimum; SlotoCash's welcome terms say $20 per bonus.
  5. Play only eligible games and stay under the max bet.
  6. Track your wagering progress in the cashier and stop when you reach your own budget, even if wagering isn't finished.

Our guide to how to claim a casino bonus covers each step in more depth.

Bonus red flags for Louisiana players

Offshore bonus terms can change without notice, and different pages of the same site sometimes disagree. Watch for:

  • Headline packages that differ from the cashier. SlotoCash's own site advertises $7,777 + 300 spins over five deposits, while our link carries a different headline.
  • Codes that aren't confirmed by the casino. Decode's site shows no bonus terms, so the codes reviewers list may not work.
  • Third-party reports of voided bonus winnings, such as Trustpilot reviews of Decode and LCB threads about SlotoCash removing bonuses after a large withdrawal.
  • Short expiry windows or very high wagering, both of which reduce a bonus's value.

Our list of bonus terms red flags covers more.

Keeping bonus play in proportion

Bonuses are designed to keep you playing longer, and longer play means more exposure to the house edge. Decide your budget before you claim, and treat a bonus as extra play time, not a way to make money. If you find yourself depositing to meet wagering, stop. Frequently asked questions

Are online casino bonuses legal in Louisiana?

Louisiana doesn't license any online casino, so it has no legal framework for online casino bonuses. Bonuses Louisiana players see come from offshore casinos, which the LGCB treats as illegal wagering under R.S. 14:90.3. Sweepstakes coin offers were banned from August 1, 2026. Read Louisiana gambling laws before deciding whether to play.

What is a good wagering requirement on a Louisiana casino bonus?

Lower is better, and the base matters as much as the number. SlotoCash's 25x on deposit plus bonus means $7,500 of bets on a $100 deposit with a $200 match. Third-party reviews report Decode codes at 25x to 35x. A requirement applied to the bonus only is easier to clear than the same multiple on deposit plus bonus. See low wagering bonuses.

Can I use a casino bonus on blackjack in Louisiana?

Usually not, or only at a fraction. SlotoCash's general bonus terms exclude table games and video poker by default, and its welcome bonus covers slots, keno and scratch cards only. Where blackjack is allowed, it often counts for little; Miami Club's terms count it at 5%. Read the terms first, and see best bonus for blackjack for details.

Do online casino bonuses for Louisiana players have a max cashout?

Some do. SlotoCash's welcome package has no max cashout, according to its own site, but its general terms cap cashouts from free bonuses at $200. No-deposit offers elsewhere often cap winnings at $100 to $200. A cap limits what you can withdraw from bonus play, whatever you win. Our max cashout explained guide shows how it's applied.

Do SlotoCash and Decode bonus codes expire?

Yes, and they change often. SlotoCash's general terms give 90 days from redemption, and third-party reviews report 90 days at Decode. Seasonal codes end on fixed dates, so a code you read about may no longer work. Check the cashier or support before depositing. See do bonus codes expire for more.

Are sweepstakes casino bonuses still available in Louisiana?

No. Act 182 of 2026 (HB 883) took effect on August 1, 2026, and defines dual-currency casino-style games as illegal gambling by computer, with payment processors barred from facilitating them. Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin welcome packages should no longer be offered to Louisiana players. Our page on sweepstakes casinos in Louisiana explains the ban.

Is a casino bonus worth it for Louisiana players?

It depends on the terms and your budget. With high wagering, the expected cost of clearing a bonus can match the whole balance, as the 25x example on this page shows. A bonus can extend play time, but it comes with conditions and the house edge applies while you wager. Compare with playing unbonused on bonus vs no bonus.

What is the SlotoCash welcome bonus for Louisiana players?

Via our link it's $6,000 plus 60 free spins, but SlotoCash's own site advertises a different package: $7,777 plus 300 spins over five deposits. The site's version uses codes SLOTO1MATCH to SLOTO5MATCH, with 200% matches on the first two deposits, 100% on the third and fourth and 177% on the fifth. Each step carries 25x deposit-plus-bonus wagering, a $20 minimum deposit and a $10 max bet, and the terms shown at sign-up apply. Our SlotoCash bonus codes page tracks the current codes.

What is the minimum deposit for a casino bonus in Louisiana?

It's usually $20 to $30 at the offshore casinos covered here. SlotoCash's welcome terms ask for $20 per bonus, third-party reviews report a $25 minimum on Decode's coded offers, and Silver Oak's deposits start at $30. Miami Club doesn't publish a minimum for its welcome match. Some coded reloads ask more; SlotoCash's SUPERCASTLE reload needs $100. Depositing less than the minimum normally means no bonus at all. See the Decode welcome bonus page for its reported codes.

Does Miami Club offer a casino bonus to Louisiana players?

Yes, via our link Miami Club shows $4,000 plus 285 Bonus Games for new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply. Its own site publishes a smaller package, up to $800 over eight deposits at 20x deposit plus bonus. Video poker counts 10% and blackjack 5% toward wagering, and roulette is barred while a bonus is active. Its Terms of Use section 1.6 list the US as prohibited, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted. Read our Miami Club review first.

Are cashback offers better than deposit matches for Louisiana players?

Not automatically; they solve a different problem. SlotoCash's promotions page lists 25% instant cashback on Monday to Wednesday deposits and 35% from Thursday to Sunday, claimed within 48 hours, which returns part of your stake rather than adding credit up front. Returned cash often carries its own wagering, so check the terms before counting it as withdrawable. A match adds more play but more required betting. Our cashback bonus guide compares the two.

What happens if I break a bonus rule at an offshore casino from Louisiana?

The casino can remove the bonus and any winnings made with it. SlotoCash's welcome terms say play on games outside the eligible list voids promotion winnings, and betting over its $10 per spin limit can void the bonus too. There's no Louisiana Gaming Control Board route for an offshore account, so your only appeal is the casino's own process; SlotoCash says disputes must be raised within 14 days. Our guide to filing a casino complaint explains the next steps.

Do Louisiana sportsbook promos count as casino bonuses?

No, they're separate products. Sportsbooks licensed by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, legal in most parishes since mobile betting launched on January 28, 2022, run their own sports promotions under state oversight. They don't offer online casino bonuses, because Louisiana licenses no online casino. Every casino bonus Louisiana players see comes from an offshore site with its own terms and no state protection. Our Louisiana sports betting page covers the licensed apps.

Are casino bonus winnings taxable in Louisiana?

Yes. Winnings from bonus play are gambling winnings, and gambling winnings are taxable federal income whether the casino is offshore or licensed. The W-2G reporting threshold for slot wins paid in 2026 is $2,000, but offshore casinos may not issue a W-2G, so keep your own records of deposits, bonuses and withdrawals. From the 2026 tax year, the loss deduction is reportedly capped at 90% of losses; check IRS guidance. Our gambling taxes page explains reporting.
