Crypto casinos in Colorado are all offshore: the state licenses no online casino, whether you pay in dollars or Bitcoin. Paying with crypto doesn't change what Colorado's regulator says about online gambling. It does change speed, fees and risk, so this page sets out the published Bitcoin times, caps and costs, plus the volatility and scam traps.
No Colorado license exists for any online casino, and crypto deposits don't change the Division of Gaming's position.
Partner casinos take several coins in but usually pay out only in Bitcoin, with weekly caps from $2,500.
Published Bitcoin payout times range from 48 business hours to 7–10 days plus a review period, and third-party reports describe longer waits.
Crypto payments generally can't be reversed, and a price drop between deposit and withdrawal cuts your dollar balance.
Winnings paid in crypto are still taxable income; keep dated records in dollars.

Are crypto casinos legal in Colorado?
No crypto casino holds a Colorado license, because Colorado doesn't license online casinos at all. The Colorado Division of Gaming said in September 2025 that the only online gaming in the state is sports betting.
The Division's What is Legal? page (opens in a new tab) says internet gambling is illegal under state and federal laws, that betting from Colorado with online sites is illegal even if they're licensed elsewhere, and that there's no recourse through a Colorado agency. Nothing on that page carves out Bitcoin. A casino that takes crypto from Denver, Colorado Springs or Aurora is an offshore casino with a different cashier.
We won't tell you crypto makes offshore play lawful, and we won't tell you you'll be prosecuted. What follows is how the money actually moves, so you can judge the risk. Start with the Colorado online casino hub if you want the full legal picture first.
UIGEA, the Wire Act and Bitcoin deposits
The Division's page leans on federal law. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (opens in a new tab) bars gambling businesses from accepting credit, electronic fund transfers, checks and other designated payments in connection with unlawful internet gambling. It targets the businesses that accept the money, and it doesn't make placing a bet a federal crime for the player. Whether a bet is "unlawful" depends on the law where it's placed, which brings it back to Colorado.
The Wire Act, under the 2021 First Circuit ruling, applies to sports betting and is aimed at people in the betting business. Neither law has a crypto exception, and neither turns offshore play into state-licensed play. Our pages on UIGEA and the Wire Act cover both in detail, and are crypto casinos legal answers the national question.
Why offshore casinos push Bitcoin to Colorado players
Card payments to gambling merchants carry merchant category code 7995. Third-party payment sources say many US card issuers decline 7995 transactions by default, and many treat credit card gambling payments as cash advances with fees. UIGEA is the legal background to those blocks. That's why offshore cashiers steer Colorado players toward crypto.
Silver Oak's own banking page shows the gap plainly: crypto deposits carry 0% fees and limits of $30 to $100,000, while Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover deposits are limited to $30 to $1,000 with fees of 3% to 10%. On a $500 card deposit, a 10% fee would cost $50 before you place a bet. See card declines for why cards fail.
Which coins the partner crypto casinos list
Deposit menus are much wider than withdrawal menus. Here's what's published for the two casinos featured on this page, with SlotoCash and Miami Club added for comparison because their own banking pages are unusually detailed.
Crypto deposit and withdrawal coins at selected partner casinos
If you deposit Litecoin or Tether, expect to cash out in Bitcoin at most of these sites, which adds a conversion step and an exposure to Bitcoin's price. Planet 7's official site couldn't be checked, so its list comes only from reviewers. Our pages on Bitcoin casinos, Litecoin and USDT explain each coin.
Bitcoin withdrawal speed at crypto casinos: published vs reported
Crypto is often sold as instant. The casinos' own pages and reviewers tell a slower story, mostly because of review and pending periods before any coin moves.

Silver Oak's terms also allow pending requests of up to four times the weekly limit and set a monthly limit of $5,000 if your balance is at least 10 times your total deposits, otherwise $10,000. A $12,000 win at a $2,500 weekly cap would need at least five weekly payments, and the monthly limit could stretch that further. Read weekly withdrawal limits and the fast payout casinos Colorado page.
Crypto casino fees from Colorado: casino, network and exchange
Three layers of cost can apply to a crypto round trip, and only one of them is set by the casino.
Casino fees: Silver Oak lists $0 to $40 on Bitcoin payouts, 5% on Coindraw, and an 8% fee (minimum $4) if a deposit wasn't wagered at least once. SlotoCash lists Bitcoin payouts as free. AskGamblers reports no withdrawal fees at Planet 7.
Network fees: sending coins on a blockchain costs a fee that varies with traffic; casinos don't publish these.
Exchange fees and spreads: buying coins with dollars and selling them back costs money at most exchanges, and Silver Oak lists Changelly as a deposit route for $60 to $200.
A worked example: deposit $300 of Bitcoin at Silver Oak, never wager it, then withdraw. The 8% rule would take $24, and a $40 method fee could take more. Our crypto fees guide covers network costs in detail.
Crypto price swings and your casino balance
Most casinos show balances in dollars, but you're paid in coins whose value keeps moving. The CFPB's November 2022 crypto-asset complaint bulletin (opens in a new tab) noted that, as of October 3, 2022, Bitcoin was down more than 70% from its November 2021 high.

With payout times of a week or more, that exposure is real. Some players use stablecoins such as USDT to reduce it, but at most partners you'd still be paid in Bitcoin. The stablecoins guide explains how they work.
How a Bitcoin deposit and withdrawal work, step by step
Read the casino's banking page and terms for minimums, fees, weekly caps and the payout coin before you buy anything.
Buy coins at a US exchange you trust and move them to a wallet you control.
In the casino cashier, choose the coin and copy the deposit address exactly; a wrong address can't be fixed.
Send a small test amount first if the casino's minimum allows it, and wait for it to be credited.
Complete identity checks before you request a payout; Silver Oak blocks withdrawals until KYC is done.
Request the withdrawal to your own wallet address and note the date, amount and reference.
When the coins arrive, record their dollar value that day for your tax records.
Crypto casino scams, KYC and irreversible payments
The FTC warns that crypto payments lack the legal protections of credit cards and generally can't be reversed, and that only scammers demand payment in cryptocurrency. You can read its consumer warning on crypto payments (opens in a new tab). The CFPB received more than 8,300 virtual-currency complaints from October 2018 to September 2022; fraud and scams were the biggest issue at 40%, and "money was not available when promised" made up 16%.
Crypto doesn't mean anonymous at these casinos. Silver Oak's terms ask for government photo ID, the front and back of cards used in the last three months, a selfie with ID and a utility bill from the last three months. Reviewers say Planet 7 asks for ID, proof of address and a selfie, with checks taking 0 to 3 days. Never use another person's documents or account to get around these checks.
Taxes on crypto casino winnings in Colorado
Gambling winnings are taxable federal income whether they arrive as dollars or Bitcoin. The IRS sets the 2026 W-2G threshold for slot, keno and bingo wins at $2,000, and offshore casinos may not issue forms at all, so your own records matter. From tax year 2026 the loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses, and only up to winnings; check IRS guidance.
Holding coins after a payout can create a separate gain or loss when you sell, so ask a tax professional how to handle it. Colorado state tax questions go to the Colorado Department of Revenue. See the gambling taxes guide and keeping gambling records.
Crypto, chasing losses and help in Colorado
Fast deposits and coin balances that feel like play money can make losses easier to chase. If you notice yourself topping up again after a loss, or hiding crypto spending, it's time to pause.
Both casinos below list Bitcoin and other coins in their cashiers, which is why they fit this page. They are offshore and not licensed by Colorado or any US state, and the Division of Gaming says Colorado agencies offer no recourse for online sites. Its VIP page lists Bitcoin bonuses of 325% to 400% for higher tiers. Silver Oak publishes its license (Primrose Media Limited, licensed in Anjouan) and was named by Michigan's regulator on April 9, 2025. Sources disagree, so the terms at sign-up apply, and codes change. Reviewers report a Costa Rica license or none. Michigan named Planet 7 on April 9, 2025. Bonuses are slot-focused; table games are often excluded or weighted lower. Compare both in the Silver Oak review and the Planet 7 Bitcoin page.

Frequently asked questions
Are Bitcoin casinos legal in Colorado?
No Bitcoin casino is licensed by Colorado, since the state licenses no online casinos. The Division of Gaming says internet gambling is illegal under state and federal laws, including with sites licensed elsewhere, and that no Colorado agency can help with them. Paying in crypto doesn't change that. The only legal online gaming in Colorado is sports betting. Read Colorado gambling laws for the statutes and the regulator's position.
How fast are Bitcoin withdrawals for Colorado crypto casino players?
Slower than the marketing suggests for Colorado players. SlotoCash's own pages say within 48 business hours, Silver Oak's say 7 to 10 days plus a review period of 7 to 10 business days, and reviewers report Planet 7 payouts pending 5 to 7 days and sometimes taking over a month. Blockchain transfer time is usually the smallest part. Finish verification early to avoid extra delays. Our answer on how long Bitcoin withdrawals take has more.
Which crypto can I use at offshore casinos from Colorado?
Bitcoin is the common one, and many cashiers also take Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Tether. Silver Oak's own banking page lists BTC, LTC and ETH for deposits, and reviewers list seven or more coins at Planet 7. Withdrawals are narrower: most partners pay out only in Bitcoin, with Miami Club also listing Ethereum. Check the cashier before buying coins. See what crypto casinos accept.
Do crypto casinos charge Colorado players fees?
Some do, and the costs stack up for Colorado players. Silver Oak lists Bitcoin payout fees of $0 to $40 and an 8% fee, minimum $4, when a deposit hasn't been wagered once. SlotoCash lists free Bitcoin payouts. On top of casino fees, blockchains charge network fees and exchanges charge spreads when you buy or sell coins. Add all three before you deposit. Our withdrawal fees page compares partners.
Is Bitcoin safer than a card at an online casino?
It avoids card declines but removes protections. The FTC says crypto payments lack credit-card legal protections and generally can't be reversed, so a mistake or a rogue casino can mean the money is gone. Price swings add risk while a payout is pending. Cards, by contrast, often fail at gambling merchants under code 7995 and can carry cash-advance fees. Read is Bitcoin safe for casinos before choosing.
Do I need ID at a crypto casino in Colorado?
Usually yes, before your first withdrawal, even if you only ever pay in coins from Colorado. Silver Oak's own terms require government photo ID, card images, a selfie with ID and a recent utility bill, and they block payouts until verification is complete. Reviewers say Planet 7 asks for similar documents. Using crypto doesn't remove these checks, and using someone else's details breaks the terms. Send clear copies early. Our KYC documents page lists what casinos typically ask for.
Are crypto casino winnings taxable in Colorado?
Yes, gambling winnings are taxable federal income in any form, including crypto. Record the dollar value of each payout on the day you receive it, along with deposits and losses. From tax year 2026 the loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses, so check IRS guidance. Selling coins later can create a separate gain or loss. For state tax, ask the Colorado Department of Revenue. See gambling taxes.
What is the best crypto casino for Colorado players?
No crypto casino is licensed in Colorado, so any choice is an offshore one with the risks covered above. We show Silver Oak and Planet 7 here because both list Bitcoin and several other coins, and we rank partners commercially. Compare weekly caps, payout times, fees and regulator actions, including both casinos' Michigan cease-and-desist naming. Our best crypto casinos list sets out the criteria in more depth.
What is the minimum Bitcoin deposit for Colorado crypto casino players?
It's $5 at Planet 7 by Bitcoin Lightning, according to LCB, and $30 at Silver Oak, per its own banking page. Silver Oak's crypto deposits run from $30 to $100,000 with no fee, against $30 to $1,000 with 3% to 10% fees on cards. A tiny Lightning deposit is useful as a test, but bonuses usually need more, and withdrawal minimums of $50 or more mean a small balance may not be cashable. Our best Bitcoin casinos list compares minimums across partners.
Can I get a crypto casino bonus in Colorado?
Offshore casinos advertise them, but no crypto bonus is offered under a Colorado license. Silver Oak's VIP page lists Bitcoin bonuses of 325% to 400% for higher tiers, and Decode's own site advertises crypto bonuses without showing terms. Like other offers, these are slot-focused, with table games often excluded or weighted lower, and they carry wagering and max bet rules. A larger match also means more wagering before any payout. Read our crypto bonus guide before you claim one.
How much can I withdraw in Bitcoin each week from Colorado?
Usually $2,500 to $5,000 a week at the partner casinos. Silver Oak's Bitcoin payouts run from $50 to $2,500, with a weekly limit from $2,500 raised by VIP level; SlotoCash allows $5,000 a week and $20,000 a month; Planet 7 is reported at $2,500. At a $2,500 weekly cap, a $12,000 win takes at least five weekly payments, and Silver Oak's monthly limit could stretch that further. Coins stay exposed to price swings while you wait. See our withdrawal limits page.
How do I buy Bitcoin in Colorado for a casino deposit?
Buy coins at a US exchange you trust, move them to a wallet you control, then send them to the casino's deposit address. Read the casino's banking page first so you buy the right coin and amount; Silver Oak, for example, lists Changelly as a deposit route for $60 to $200. Exchanges charge fees and spreads on the way in and out, and a mistyped address can't be fixed. Never let anyone else hold your coins for you. Our guide on how to buy Bitcoin for casinos walks through each step.
Where can Colorado players report a crypto casino scam?
Report fraud to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, because the Division of Gaming says no Colorado agency offers recourse against online casino sites. The CFPB also takes complaints about crypto-asset problems: it received more than 8,300 virtual-currency complaints from October 2018 to September 2022, with fraud and scams the biggest issue at 40%. Keep wallet addresses, transaction IDs, screenshots and chat logs. Crypto payments generally can't be reversed, so act early. Our crypto casino scams guide shows the warning signs.
What happens to my Colorado casino payout if Bitcoin's price falls?
Your payout loses value in dollars, because you're paid in coins whose price keeps moving. If Bitcoin drops 20% before you sell, a $2,500 withdrawal is worth $2,000; a 10% fall leaves $2,250, and a 10% rise makes it $2,750. With pending periods of a week or more at several partners, that exposure is real. The CFPB noted Bitcoin was down more than 70% from its November 2021 high by October 3, 2022. Our stablecoins guide explains one way players reduce the swing.
