Crypto casinos in Delaware are offshore sites: they take Bitcoin and other coins, but none holds a Delaware license, and the state says real-money games from unlicensed operators break its law. Delaware’s authorized online casinos are run by the Delaware Lottery. Here’s what paying with crypto changes in speed, fees and risk, and what it doesn’t change legally.
Paying in Bitcoin doesn’t change the legal status of an offshore casino in Delaware.
Published Bitcoin payouts at our partners run from about 2 business days to 7–10 days, with weekly caps from $2,500.
Crypto transfers generally can’t be reversed, and coin prices can move sharply while you wait.
Crypto casino winnings are still taxable federal income.
Crypto doesn’t mean anonymous: expect ID checks before withdrawals.

Are crypto casinos legal in Delaware?
Not in the sense of being authorized. Delaware licenses online casino games only through its own system: the Delaware Lottery runs online play for Delaware Park, Bally’s Dover and Harrington on a BetRivers-powered platform. The Lottery’s iGaming page doesn’t describe crypto deposits. Every Bitcoin casino marketed to Delaware players is offshore.
At the federal level, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act bars gambling businesses from accepting certain payments for unlawful internet gambling; the text of 31 U.S.C. § 5363 (opens in a new tab) targets operators, not players placing bets. State law decides the question for players, which is why Delaware’s position matters most. See our UIGEA explainer.
Why offshore Bitcoin casinos lean on crypto
Card deposits to offshore casinos often fail. Card networks code gambling transactions as merchant category 7995, and many US issuers block that code or treat it as a cash advance with fees, as third-party payment sources report. UIGEA is the legal background to those blocks. Crypto sidesteps the card network, which is the main reason offshore casinos promote it. More on this in our card declines guide.
That convenience comes with trade-offs the casino’s marketing rarely mentions: no chargeback, price risk, network fees and the same weekly withdrawal caps that apply to every other method.
Bitcoin withdrawal speed at crypto casinos Delaware players see
Crypto payouts are not instant at these casinos. The wait usually comes from the casino’s own pending and review period, not the blockchain. Confirmation times on the Bitcoin network aren’t covered here, because an official source couldn’t be checked. Here’s what the casinos and reviewers publish.

Deposit menus are wider than withdrawal menus. At all three casinos below, Bitcoin is the only crypto listed for cashing out, so a Litecoin or Ethereum deposit may come back as Bitcoin.

Silver Oak’s published banking page (opens in a new tab) shows the contrast plainly: crypto deposits carry a 0% fee, while card deposits are listed at 3–10%. On the way out, its Bitcoin withdrawals show a fee of $0–$40, and Coindraw 5%. Its terms add an 8% fee (minimum $4) if a deposit hasn’t been wagered at least once before withdrawal.
SlotoCash lists Bitcoin withdrawals as free. Decode’s Bitcoin fee isn’t published in the sources reviewed. On top of casino fees, you pay network fees and any exchange spread when you buy and sell coins; those depend on your exchange and the network, so check them before each transfer. Our crypto fees guide shows how to add them up.
A quick example: a $1,000 card deposit at a 5% fee costs $50 before you play. The same $1,000 in Bitcoin at 0% casino fee costs only whatever your exchange and the network charge.
Price swings: the hidden cost of Bitcoin casinos
Coins move in price while a withdrawal sits pending. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s crypto-assets complaint bulletin (opens in a new tab) noted that as of October 3, 2022, Bitcoin was down more than 70% from its November 2021 high, and total crypto-asset market value had fallen by as much as 68% as of July 2022.
Here’s what that means in dollars. Say a $1,000 withdrawal is paid in Bitcoin and the price drops 10% before you sell: you receive $900. A 10% rise would give you $1,100. Neither outcome is a skill; it’s market exposure added on top of the house edge. If you don’t want that exposure, sell promptly or use a stablecoin where the casino offers one.
The same bulletin reported more than 8,300 virtual-currency complaints from October 2018 to September 2022, with fraud and scams the most common issue at 40% and “money was not available when promised” at 16%. Crypto transfers generally can’t be reversed, so a payment to a fake site is usually gone. Our crypto casino scams guide lists warning signs, including unofficial mirror sites that copy a casino’s branding.
How Delaware players fund a crypto casino account, step by step
Read Delaware’s position on unlicensed operators, and decide whether you accept the risks of an offshore site.
Check the casino’s banking page for minimums, maximums, fees, weekly caps and which coins it pays out in.
Buy the coin at an exchange you trust, and note the purchase price and fees for your records.
Move the coin to a wallet you control, then copy the deposit address from the casino’s cashier exactly.
Send a small test amount first if the network fee allows it, and wait for the balance to show.
Complete identity verification before you request a withdrawal, so the payout isn’t held.
Withdraw to your own wallet, and keep records of every deposit and withdrawal for tax time.
Paying in Bitcoin doesn’t skip verification. Silver Oak’s terms ask for government photo ID, front and back of cards used in the last three months, a selfie with ID and a utility bill from the last three months, and block withdrawals until checks are complete. Third-party reviews report that Decode asks for ID, proof of address, proof of payment ownership and a selfie, and may ask crypto depositors for photo ID.
Upload clear documents early, and make sure your account details match them. Our KYC documents page lists what casinos commonly ask for.
Taxes on crypto casino winnings in Delaware
Winnings are taxable federal income whether they arrive in dollars or Bitcoin. The W-2G threshold for slot wins is $2,000 for payments made in 2026, but offshore casinos may not issue forms, so the reporting falls on you. Selling coins you received can also create a separate gain or loss. From the 2026 tax year, the deduction for gambling losses is reportedly limited to 90% of losses and only up to winnings; check IRS guidance. See do offshore casinos report to the IRS.
Crypto, fast deposits and staying in control
Instant crypto deposits remove the pause a card decline used to give. Set a deposit limit before you start, and consider blocking tools if you find yourself topping up. In Delaware, the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems helpline is 1-888-850-8888. Nationally, call or text 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738). Our crypto and problem gambling page has more.
Crypto casino offers shown to Delaware readers
Both offers below come from casinos that list Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum deposits, which is why they fit this page. They are offshore and not licensed by Delaware or any US state, and Delaware says real-money games from unlicensed operators violate state law; check your state’s law before you do anything. Offshore play means no state regulator to complain to, no state-backed protection of your balance and terms set by the casino. Decode Casino: $5,000 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Decode’s own site advertises a $111 free chip and crypto bonuses without visible terms. Third-party reviews list code DECODE111 as 111% up to $1,111 with 25x (bonus + deposit) wagering and a $25 minimum, and report that Decode refuses players from Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington. The terms shown at sign-up apply. Read our Decode review.
Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Its own site advertises a different package, 100% on each of the first ten deposits up to $10,000 with codes SILVEROAK1 to SILVEROAK10 and no max withdrawal; the offer page says 30x playthrough while the terms say 40x on slots, with 60x on table games and video poker, so check which applies. Silver Oak names its operator as Primrose Media Limited, licensed in Anjouan. The Michigan Gaming Control Board named it in an April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release (opens in a new tab). See our Silver Oak review.
Bonuses are slot-focused, and table games are often excluded or weighted lower. Codes change, so confirm them on the casino’s promotions page. Over time the house edge makes losses the likely result.

Frequently asked questions
Are there legal crypto casinos in Delaware?
No Delaware-licensed casino is marketed as a crypto casino. Delaware’s authorized online casinos are run by the Delaware Lottery for Delaware Park, Bally’s Dover and Harrington, and its iGaming page doesn’t describe crypto deposits. Bitcoin casinos open to Delaware residents are offshore, and the state says unlicensed real-money games violate Delaware law. Paying in crypto doesn’t change that. See Delaware real money casinos for how the authorized and offshore routes compare.
How fast are Bitcoin withdrawals for Delaware players?
It depends on the casino’s processing, not the blockchain. SlotoCash’s pages say Bitcoin payouts take about 2 business days, while Silver Oak lists 7 to 10 days plus a review period of 7 to 10 business days in its terms. Third-party reviews report 48 hours at Decode. Weekly caps, starting at $2,500, also limit how much you can take out at once. Our weekly withdrawal limits guide explains how caps stretch a big payout.
Is Bitcoin gambling anonymous in Delaware?
No. Offshore crypto casinos still verify identity before paying out. Silver Oak’s terms require photo ID, a selfie with ID, card images and a recent utility bill, and withdrawals stay blocked until checks are complete. Reviewers report similar checks at Decode. Blockchain transactions are also public and traceable to exchanges that know their customers. Plan to verify early. The how to verify your casino account guide walks through the documents.
Can a Delaware crypto casino deposit be reversed?
Generally, no. Federal consumer agencies note that crypto payments lack the legal protections of credit cards and usually can’t be reversed once sent. If you send coins to the wrong address or to a fake copy of a casino, the money is normally gone. Always copy the address from the real casino’s cashier, check it before sending, and avoid unofficial mirror sites. Our is Bitcoin safe for casinos answer covers the main risks.
What fees do Bitcoin casinos charge Delaware players?
Fees vary by casino and direction. Silver Oak lists 0% on crypto deposits versus 3–10% on cards, and $0–$40 on Bitcoin withdrawals, plus an 8% fee if a deposit hasn’t been wagered once. SlotoCash lists Bitcoin withdrawals as free. Decode’s Bitcoin fee isn’t published in the sources reviewed. Exchange spreads and network fees come on top. The crypto fees guide shows how to total the cost of a round trip.
Do I pay taxes on crypto casino winnings in Delaware?
Yes. Gambling winnings are taxable federal income whatever form they take, and the casino may not send you a W-2G if it’s offshore. Selling the coins later can create a separate gain or loss on the price change. From 2026 the gambling loss deduction is reportedly limited to 90% of losses, up to winnings; check IRS guidance. Keep dated records of every transfer. Our gambling taxes guide explains what to keep.
Which crypto casinos refuse Delaware players?
Several big offshore brands list Delaware as a restricted state in their own terms, including Bovada, Ignition, Cafe Casino and Slots.lv. Decode is reported by a third-party reviewer to refuse Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington, but Delaware isn’t on that reported list. None of our partners publishes a full restricted-state list, so being able to register isn’t proof a casino may serve you. Read Delaware gambling laws first.
Is a crypto bonus worth it?
Only if the terms work for you. Crypto bonuses usually carry the same wagering as card bonuses or higher, and the expected loss during wagering often equals much of the bonus. At 25x deposit plus bonus, a $100 deposit with a $111 bonus needs $5,275 of play, an expected loss of about $211 at a 4% edge. Table games are often excluded. See crypto bonus for more worked examples.
What is the minimum Bitcoin deposit at SlotoCash for Delaware players?
SlotoCash's own banking pages list $25 for standard Bitcoin and $5 for Bitcoin Lightning, with Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash from $10 and Ethereum from $25. Its welcome offer has its own $20 minimum per bonus, so a $5 Lightning deposit may not qualify for it. Bitcoin is the only crypto SlotoCash lists for withdrawals, from $100 per request, with no fee and about two business days to pay. SlotoCash isn't authorized by Delaware, and Michigan regulators named it in an October 2026 cease-and-desist release. See SlotoCash Bitcoin and our minimum deposits page.
Does Decode Casino accept Bitcoin from Delaware players?
Third-party reviews list Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin deposits at Decode, with Lightning Bitcoin from $5, and Bitcoin as the payout coin. Whether Decode accepts Delaware accounts isn't confirmed: reviewers report it refuses Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington, and Delaware isn't on that list, but Decode publishes no full restricted-state list. Its site names no operator or license. Decode isn't authorized by Delaware, which says unlicensed real-money games break state law. Check the terms at sign-up, and read Decode Bitcoin and who owns Decode Casino.
Can I use crypto at the Delaware Lottery's online casinos?
The Delaware Lottery's iGaming page doesn't describe crypto deposits, so there's no official source saying the state-run platform takes Bitcoin. That platform runs online games for Delaware Park, Bally's Dover and Harrington on BetRivers technology, for players 21 and over. Check its cashier after you register for the payment methods it lists today. The advantage of the authorized route is state oversight from the Delaware Lottery and the Division of Gaming Enforcement, which offshore Bitcoin casinos lack. Our states with legal online casinos page and Delaware real money casinos compare the options.
Can I deposit USDT at crypto casinos in Delaware?
Possibly at Silver Oak, though sources disagree: its own banking page lists Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum, while a third-party reviewer also lists USDT and USDC. Decode and SlotoCash don't list USDT in the sources on record. A stablecoin such as USDT holds a dollar value, which removes most price risk on the way in, but all three casinos pay crypto out in Bitcoin, so the price exposure returns on withdrawal. Check the cashier before buying any coin. Our USDT casinos page and what is USDT answer explain how stablecoins work.
Has Delaware acted against unlicensed online gambling sites?
Yes, Delaware's Division of Gaming Enforcement issued a cease-and-desist order to VGW's LuckyLand Slots, effective April 2, 2025, and officials said VGW had misrepresented casino-style coin games as promotional sweepstakes. The state's April 2025 announcement said real-money games from unlicensed entities violate the Delaware Constitution, the Penal Code and the Gaming Competitiveness Act of 2012, and told residents to play only at authorized Delaware casinos. That order targeted a sweepstakes brand rather than a crypto casino, but the principle covers any unlicensed operator. See cease-and-desist letters and Delaware sweepstakes casinos.
How much should I deposit at a Bitcoin casino from Delaware?
Decide a dollar amount you can afford to lose first, and stick to it whatever the coin price does. Crypto adds price risk on top of the house edge: a $500 deposit that falls 10% in value before you play is worth $450. Weekly withdrawal caps also matter, because a big win at a $2,500-a-week casino such as Silver Oak takes weeks to cash out. Smaller deposits limit both exposures. Fast crypto deposits make topping up easy, so set a deposit limit before you start. Read how much should I deposit and our gambling budget guide.
