Planet 7 vs El Royale Casino

Planet 7 vs El Royale is a matchup of two RealTime Gaming casinos that Michigan’s regulator named in the same April 2025 cease-and-desist release. El Royale is reported to add live dealer tables and a Curaçao license; Planet 7 has more current reviewer data and a partner offer through our link. Neither holds a US state license.

Key takeaways

  • Both casinos run RealTime Gaming slots, per reviewers; El Royale also lists Visionary iGaming live dealer games, which Planet 7 lacks.
  • The El Royale facts come from a review last updated April 18, 2023, so its bonuses and banking may have changed.
  • El Royale is reported to pay crypto withdrawals in Bitcoin only, with a $150 minimum; Planet 7’s minimum is reported at $50 or $100.
  • Michigan named both casinos in its April 9, 2025 release on 13 unlicensed operators.
  • El Royale is reported to hold a Curaçao license with no number; Planet 7 shows no license, and reviewers conflict.

Planet 7 vs El Royale: what separates two RTG casinos

On paper, Planet 7 Casino and El Royale Casino look alike: both are offshore sites built on RealTime Gaming, both take crypto, and both were named by Michigan’s regulator in April 2025. The real differences are live dealer games, how you can withdraw and how fresh the available information is.

How current is the El Royale information?

El Royale’s own site blocks automated reading, so the El Royale facts on this page come from a third-party review whose page data shows it was last modified on April 18, 2023. That review is also internally inconsistent, giving 2020 as the launch year in one place and “6 years” in another, and listing the USA as a restricted country while calling the site US-friendly.

Planet 7’s details also come from review sites, but the ones we hold were checked in October 2026, and they cross-check each other on many points. So treat every El Royale bonus figure, payout time and limit below as a historical report, and confirm it in the casino’s current terms before depositing. Our guide to reading casino terms shows what to look for.

Old bonus codes often stop working or come back with different terms. Check our expired bonus codes page for how to tell.

RTG slots, table games and live dealer at each casino

Because both casinos are reported to run RTG, many of the same slots should appear in both lobbies, but only Planet 7’s titles are named in our record. Reported Planet 7 titles include Cash Bandits 2, Cash Bandits 3, Sweet 16, Paydirt! Go for the Gold, Pirate Isle 3D, Banana Jones and Fish Catch. LCB counts 347 RTG slots there; Blockonomi reports 195+ slots and 14 video poker games.

El Royale’s edge is live dealer: the 2023 review lists Visionary iGaming for live tables alongside RTG. Planet 7 has no live dealer section, according to LCB, Casino Guru and Blockonomi. If real dealers matter to you, check El Royale’s current lobby, since a provider list from 2023 may have changed. Our best live dealer casinos list compares partner options.

Planet 7 vs El Royale bonus codes and packages

El Royale’s offers in the 2023 review are big headline numbers with few published conditions. Planet 7’s public code is smaller in percentage but comes with reported terms. Bonus codes change, so treat every code below as a report, not a promise.

Welcome offers compared
DetailPlanet 7 (third-party)El Royale (third-party, 2023)
Main slots offer200% match, code WELCOME200250% up to $2,500, code EGGCITEMENT250

Wagering30x deposit + bonusNot stated in our record
Max cashout$1,000Not stated in our record
Minimum deposit$30 by cardNot stated, except $1,000 for the crypto package

Planet 7’s reported terms also bar Banana Jones and Fish Catch with coupon-code funds. For El Royale, missing wagering and cashout terms are a reason to read the cashier carefully, not a sign the offer is generous. Our El Royale bonus page and Planet 7 bonus codes page carry more detail.

Running the numbers on a $100 deposit

Expected loss while clearing a bonus equals total wagered times house edge. With an illustrative 4% slot edge (96% RTP), here’s how each offer scales on a $100 deposit.

  • Planet 7, 200% at 30x deposit + bonus (reported): $100 + $200 = $300 balance. 30 × $300 = $9,000 to wager. Expected loss: $9,000 × 0.04 = $360. Any profit is capped at $1,000.
  • El Royale, 250% (2023 report): $100 + $250 = $350 balance. Wagering isn’t in our record, so for every 10x of the deposit plus bonus you’d wager $3,500, with an expected loss of $140. At 30x, that would be $10,500 and $420.

In both cases the expected cost is larger than the balance you start with, which is why most players don’t finish clearing a big match bonus. Bigger percentages mean bigger wagering, not better value. Our expected value of a bonus guide and wagering requirements page explain the method.

Crypto deposits and Bitcoin-only withdrawals

El Royale is reported to accept deposits in BTC, ETH, LTC and USDT but to pay crypto withdrawals in Bitcoin only. If you deposit in Tether, you’d take any winnings back in Bitcoin, which brings price swings and an exchange step. Planet 7 is reported to take BTC, BCH, DOGE, ETH, LTC, USDT and XRP, with Casino Guru adding USDC and BNB, and withdrawals by Bitcoin, bank wire or check.

Planet 7 also reports card deposits by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover from $30, and a $5 Bitcoin Lightning minimum. US card payments to offshore casinos are often declined; our crypto casinos guide and how to buy Bitcoin cover the alternatives.

Planet 7 vs El Royale withdrawal speed and limits

Withdrawal terms compared
ItemPlanet 7 (third-party, 2026)El Royale (third-party, 2023)
Minimum$50 (LCB) or $100 (Blockonomi)$150
Stated speedPending 5–7 days; bank 7–9 days; no weekend cashouts (AskGamblers)1–2 days, or under 48 hours

Cap$2,500 a week (three sources); AskGamblers shows EUR 2,500 a dayNot stated in our record
FeesNone (AskGamblers)Not stated in our record

El Royale’s quoted speed looks faster, but it’s more than three years old and not verified against payout complaints. Planet 7’s reported $2,500 weekly cap would turn a $10,000 balance into at least four weekly payments. See the El Royale withdrawals page, the Planet 7 withdrawals page and our pending withdrawals guide.

Curaçao license vs no license shown

The 2023 review says El Royale is run by Infinity Media Group LTD under a Curaçao license, with no number given. Curaçao has since overhauled its system: the Curaçao Gaming Authority (opens in a new tab) says its new National Ordinance on Games of Chance took effect on December 24, 2024, replacing the old sublicense model with direct licensing. A license claimed under the old system in 2023 tells you little about today’s status. Our Curaçao license explainer covers the change.

Planet 7 shows no license on its site, per reviewers. AskGamblers lists a Costa Rica license without a number; LCB and Casino Guru say no license; Blockonomi says it isn’t formally regulated but its software was tested by GLI. Operator names also differ: BTK Ltd Casinos, Ace Revenue Group, or BTK Ltd. Casinos (formerly Crystal Palace Group).

None of these is a US license. Whatever an offshore regulator offers, it isn’t a state regulator you can turn to as a US player.

Michigan’s April 2025 action against both brands

The Michigan Gaming Control Board’s April 9, 2025 release (opens in a new tab) names El Royale Casino and Planet 7 Casino among 13 unlicensed operators ordered to stop serving Michigan within 14 days. The board describes them as illegal offshore operators based in places such as Curaçao, Costa Rica and Anjouan.

Planet 7 also carries poor complaint records: LCB gives it a Warning status, AskGamblers lists 1,598 complaints with 1,468 resolved, and Casino Guru’s Planet 7 review (opens in a new tab) flags a low withdrawal limit and four unfair clauses. Read Is El Royale legit and the Michigan online casinos page for context.

Mobile play and support

Both casinos are browser-based on phones: El Royale is reported as web only, with no dedicated app, and Planet 7 plays in a mobile browser, with a desktop download client also available, per Blockonomi. AskGamblers lists 24/7 live chat at Planet 7 and two toll-free numbers. El Royale’s support channels aren’t in our record.

AskGamblers lists no deposit limits, cool-offs or self-exclusion at Planet 7. If you need controls, install a blocker such as Gamban and see our mobile casino guide for safe phone setup.

No US state licenses either casino. Seven states license real-money online casinos: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Maine legalized tribal online casinos in January 2026, but none had launched by October 2026 and a lawsuit is pending.

UIGEA aims at payment processing for unlawful internet gambling and doesn’t make placing a bet a federal crime for the player, so state law decides. Read our is online gambling legal in the US guide and the page for your state before playing.

How to check El Royale or Planet 7 details yourself

  1. Open the casino’s terms page and find the operator name and license. Note whether a license number is given.
  2. For a Curaçao claim, look up the operator with the Curaçao Gaming Authority rather than trusting a logo.
  3. Find the banking page and write down the minimum withdrawal, any weekly cap and which coins pay out.
  4. Open the bonus terms for the exact code you plan to use: wagering, max cashout, max bet, eligible games and expiry.
  5. Check your own state’s law on our site.
  6. Decide a budget you can afford to lose and set it before your first deposit.

Frequently asked questions

Is El Royale or Planet 7 better for RTG slots?

Planet 7 is the better-documented RTG choice, with 347 RTG slots counted by LCB and named titles such as Cash Bandits 2 and Sweet 16. El Royale also runs RTG, per a 2023 review, but its lobby isn’t itemized in our record. Both are offshore, and Michigan named both in 2025. See our best RTG casinos list and Planet 7 slots page.

Does El Royale have live dealer games?

A 2023 review lists Visionary iGaming live dealer games at El Royale alongside RTG. That information is more than three years old, so check the current lobby before depositing. Planet 7 has no live dealer section, according to LCB, Casino Guru and Blockonomi. If live tables matter most, read our El Royale review and the best live dealer casinos list.

What is El Royale’s bonus code?

The 2023 review lists EGGCITEMENT250 for a 250% slots bonus up to $2,500, and CRYPTOBONUS for a $9,500 crypto package with a $1,000 minimum deposit. Wagering and max cashout aren’t stated in our record. Codes change and old ones often stop working, so confirm in the cashier. Our El Royale bonus page and do bonus codes expire page explain more.

Can I withdraw crypto other than Bitcoin at El Royale?

No, El Royale is reported to pay crypto withdrawals in Bitcoin only, though it takes deposits in BTC, ETH, LTC and USDT. That means a USDT depositor would receive winnings in Bitcoin. The report dates from 2023, so check current banking terms. Planet 7 also reports Bitcoin for crypto payouts. See our Bitcoin casino guide for wallet basics.

Was El Royale named by Michigan’s regulator?

Yes, the Michigan Gaming Control Board’s April 9, 2025 release names El Royale Casino among 13 unlicensed operators sent cease-and-desist letters, alongside Planet 7 Casino. The board told them to stop serving Michigan within 14 days and calls them illegal offshore operators. Read Is El Royale legit and our cease-and-desist letters explainer.

Is El Royale licensed in Curaçao?

A 2023 review says El Royale holds a Curaçao license but gives no number. Curaçao’s law changed on December 24, 2024, moving to direct licensing by the Curaçao Gaming Authority, so a 2023 claim may not reflect today’s status. No US state licenses El Royale. Our what is a Curaçao license page explains how to check.

Which pays out faster, Planet 7 or El Royale?

El Royale quotes faster times, but the figure is an unverified 2023 report. That review gives 1–2 days, or under 48 hours. Reviewers report Planet 7 at 5–7 days pending plus 7–9 days for bank transfers, with LCB saying payouts often take more than a month and three sources citing a $2,500 weekly cap. Our fastest payout question covers what to look for.

What is the minimum withdrawal at each casino?

El Royale’s minimum is reported at $150, while Planet 7’s is reported at $50 by LCB or $100 by Blockonomi. Because the sources conflict, check each casino’s current banking page before depositing. A high minimum means small wins stay locked in your balance until you reach it. Our minimum withdrawal explainer compares typical floors.

Can I play Planet 7 and El Royale on my phone?

Yes, both casinos are browser-based on phones, and neither is reported to have an app. The 2023 review describes El Royale as web only, with no dedicated app. Blockonomi says Planet 7 runs as instant play in mobile browsers on Android and iPhone, with a download client for desktop computers too. RTG games are built to run in a browser, so the slot lobby should load on most phones. Bookmark the real address to avoid unofficial mirror sites. See Planet 7 on mobile and our guide to playing on Android.

What is the minimum deposit at Planet 7 vs El Royale?

Planet 7's lowest reported deposit is $5 by Bitcoin Lightning, with cards by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover from $30. El Royale's general deposit minimum isn't stated in the 2023 review we rely on; the only figure given is $1,000 for its $9,500 CRYPTOBONUS package. Planet 7's WELCOME200 code is reported at a $30 card minimum, so the $5 Lightning route may not trigger a match. Check each cashier before sending money. Our low deposit casinos list and Planet 7 banking page have more.

Who owns El Royale Casino, and who runs Planet 7?

The 2023 review on our record names Infinity Media Group LTD as El Royale's operator, under a Curaçao license with no number. The casino's own site blocks automated reading, so that claim couldn't be checked against its current terms. Planet 7's ownership is also unconfirmed: reviewers name BTK Ltd Casinos, BTK Ltd. Casinos (formerly Crystal Palace Group) or Ace Revenue Group. When an operator can't be confirmed, there's no clear company to hold to account in a dispute. Our who owns Planet 7 page and rogue casino guide explain why this matters.

Does Planet 7 or El Royale have a no deposit bonus?

Reviewers report a $25 Planet 7 free chip, code 25FREECHIP, though Blockonomi's table lists it as MY25FREE. Reported terms are 30x wagering on slots, 60x on table games and video poker, and a $100 max withdrawal, so $25 needs $750 of slot bets before any cashout. No El Royale no-deposit offer appears in our record. Free chips are capped tightly, and codes change or expire, so confirm in the cashier first. See Planet 7 no deposit bonus and our no deposit bonus guide.

How do I verify my account at Planet 7 or El Royale?

LCB reports that Planet 7 asks for an ID card, passport or driver's license, proof of address, a selfie holding your ID and a card verification form if you deposited by card. Files go to documents@planet7casino.com, and verification takes 0–3 days. El Royale's document rules aren't in our record, so check its terms. Sending documents early matters at Planet 7, where reviewers already report 5–7 pending days before withdrawals move. Our Planet 7 verification page and why casinos ask for documents guide have practical tips.

Can I play Planet 7 or El Royale in Maine?

Neither casino is licensed in Maine. Maine legalized tribal-run online casinos in January 2026 under LD 1164, but none had launched by October 2026 and a lawsuit is pending, so there's no state-licensed option yet. Maine also banned dual-currency sweepstakes casinos under LD 2007, effective July 2026. Offshore sites such as Planet 7 and El Royale sit outside that framework, with no state regulator to hear complaints. Planet 7 publishes no restricted-state list. Read our Maine online casinos page and the tribal gaming explainer.
