  • Crypto withdrawalsBitcoin only (reported)
  • Minimum withdrawal$150 (reported)

This El Royale Casino review starts with the fact that matters most: Michigan's gaming regulator named El Royale in an April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release aimed at unlicensed offshore operators. Beyond that, the published picture is thin and partly dated, with a reported Curaçao license, RealTime Gaming slots, a 250% bonus code and Bitcoin-only withdrawals from $150.

Key takeaways

  • The Michigan Gaming Control Board named El Royale in its April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release on unlicensed operators.
  • Third-party reviews report Infinity Media Group LTD as operator and a Curaçao license with no number; no US state licenses it.
  • Reported bonuses include 250% up to $2,500 (EGGCITEMENT250) and a $9,500 crypto package with a $1,000 minimum deposit; wagering wasn't published.
  • Crypto deposits are reported in BTC, ETH, LTC and USDT, but withdrawals in Bitcoin only, with a $150 minimum.
  • Most details come from a review last updated in April 2023, so check the casino's current terms before depositing.

El Royale Casino review: the short verdict

El Royale Casino is an offshore online casino aimed at US players, and a US state regulator has formally ordered it to stop serving residents. The Michigan Gaming Control Board's April 9, 2025 release lists El Royale among 13 unlicensed operators sent cease-and-desist letters. That is the most solid fact on record about the brand.

Almost everything else comes from third-party reviews, because the casino's own site blocks automated fetching. The main review used here was last modified on April 18, 2023, so its bonus figures, payout speeds and even its license claim may be out of date. It even contradicts itself: it calls El Royale US-friendly while listing the USA among restricted countries.

This page sets out what is reported, flags what is stale, and compares El Royale with casinos that have offers through our links. For other brands, see our casino reviews hub.

El Royale and the Michigan cease-and-desist

On April 9, 2025, the Michigan Gaming Control Board announced cease-and-desist letters to 13 unlicensed online operators, and El Royale is among the brands named in the board's release (opens in a new tab). The same release names Red Dog and two of our partner casinos, Silver Oak and Planet 7. The board calls these sites illegal offshore operators.

Michigan licenses its own online casinos: the board lists 15 authorized online casino platform providers under the Lawful Internet Gaming Act. A cease-and-desist letter tells an unlicensed site to stop offering gambling to Michigan residents. It is a regulator's formal position, not a criminal case against players. Our Michigan page and the explainer on cease-and-desist letters cover how these actions work.

The board has kept going since. Its October 8, 2026 round of letters, for example, named SlotoCash, and our partner reviews list each partner's record. If you're comparing brands, the Michigan record is one of the few hard, dated facts available for offshore sites.

El Royale owner and Curaçao license

Third-party reviews name Infinity Media Group LTD as El Royale's operator and report a Curaçao license, with no license number given. Those claims couldn't be checked against the casino's own pages, and the source dates from 2023. Treat both as unconfirmed.

Curaçao's system has changed since then. Under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK), in force from December 24, 2024, the Curaçao Gaming Authority (opens in a new tab) licenses operators directly instead of through the old sublicense system. By December 17, 2025 it had granted 604 provisional licenses, to be reassessed in 2026. A license claim from before the reform tells you little about El Royale's status today.

Even a current Curaçao license is not a US license. It gives you no US state regulator, no state-backed protection of your balance and no US complaint route. Read our explainer on the Curaçao license and the comparison of player protections at offshore vs licensed casinos.

Is El Royale Casino legit?

El Royale appears to be a real operating casino, but the case for trusting it is weak on published evidence. A US regulator has named it as an illegal offshore operator, its license can't be verified from a number, and the detailed facts about it are more than three years old. Those are reasons for caution rather than proof of wrongdoing.

El Royale Casino bonus codes and offers

The most-cited El Royale offer is a 250% slots bonus up to $2,500 with the code EGGCITEMENT250, according to a third-party review last updated in 2023. The same review mentions $7,500 and $12,500 welcome packages and a $9,500 crypto package under the code CRYPTOBONUS, with a $1,000 minimum deposit. The wagering requirement, max cashout and expiry weren't published in that source.

Treat every one of those codes as possibly expired. Casinos change codes often, and a 2023 code may no longer exist. Confirm the live offer and its full terms in the cashier, and note that offers are for adults 21+ (18+ only where allowed) and the casino's terms apply. Our El Royale bonus page and the explainer on expired bonus codes explain how to check.

What a 250% El Royale bonus could cost you

Because the wagering isn't published, you can't value the El Royale bonus until you see the terms. The table shows how much the answer depends on that one number. It uses a $100 deposit, which a 250% match turns into $350, and assumes slots returning 96% on average, an illustration rather than a figure for any El Royale game.

250% on a $100 deposit: cost at three possible wagering levels (illustrative)
Hypothetical wagering (deposit + bonus)Total to wagerExpected loss at a 4% edgeAgainst the $350 balance
30x$10,500$420Expected loss exceeds the balance
40x$14,000$560Expected loss exceeds the balance
50x$17,500$700Expected loss exceeds the balance

At any of those levels, the expected loss is larger than the whole $350 balance, so the typical result is losing the deposit before the playthrough is done. A big match with high wagering is a long session, not extra value. Our expected value of a bonus guide and the page on max cashout rules show the full method.

El Royale games: RealTime Gaming slots and live dealer

Third-party reviews list RealTime Gaming as El Royale's main software provider, with live dealer tables from Visionary iGaming. RTG is one of the oldest suppliers to US-facing offshore casinos, and several of our partners run its games too. Read our RealTime Gaming profile for the studio's history and signature slots.

The reviews checked don't give El Royale's game count or which RTG titles are in its lobby, so check the lobby yourself. RTG's progressive network and its Real Series slots are covered in our Real Series jackpots guide, and live tables in our live dealer guide.

Whatever you play, the house edge applies. Expected loss equals total stake times the edge, so 300 spins at $1 on a slot returning 96% costs about $12 on average ($300 × 4%). Results swing around that average; they never trend toward a payout because a game is "due".

El Royale banking: crypto in, Bitcoin out

Third-party reviews report crypto deposits in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDT, but withdrawals in Bitcoin only. If you deposit in USDT or Litecoin, expect your winnings to come back as Bitcoin, with its price swings and network fees. Our guides to Bitcoin and USDT explain the difference.

The reported minimum withdrawal is $150, which is high. A balance under $150 can't be cashed out, so low-stakes players risk having small wins stuck. Card and bank options weren't confirmed in the sources checked, and US card payments to offshore casinos are often declined under gambling code MCC 7995.

El Royale withdrawal times and how to cash out

Third-party reviews describe El Royale withdrawals as taking 1–2 days, or "under 48 hours". That figure comes from a 2023 review and isn't a promise; the casino's current terms decide the real timeline, and verification checks can add days. The El Royale withdrawals page tracks more detail.

  1. Read the current withdrawal terms, including any weekly cap and pending period.
  2. Verify your account with ID and proof of address before your first request.
  3. Make sure any bonus playthrough is complete, or forfeit the bonus first.
  4. Request at least $150 and give a Bitcoin wallet address you control.
  5. Double-check the address; Bitcoin transfers can't be reversed.
  6. Keep records of the request and contact support in writing if it stalls.

Our withdrawal guide covers each step in more depth, including what to do about pending requests.

El Royale mobile casino

Third-party reviews report no dedicated El Royale app; play runs in your phone's web browser. That is common for offshore casinos, which generally aren't listed in US app stores. Treat any "El Royale app" download offered outside an official store with suspicion.

Is El Royale Casino legal in the USA?

No US state licenses El Royale. Only New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island license real-money online casinos, and Maine's 2026 tribal law hadn't produced a launch by October 2026. Michigan has gone further and formally ordered El Royale to stop serving its residents.

Your own state's law decides your position as a player. Federal UIGEA targets the payments side of unlawful internet gambling and defines it by reference to state law, per 31 U.S.C. § 5362 (opens in a new tab); it doesn't make placing a bet a federal crime for the player. Washington's RCW 9.46.240 makes knowingly transmitting or receiving gambling information over the internet a class C felony. See our offshore casino legality guide and the states hub.

Winnings are taxable federal income wherever you play. For 2026, the IRS W-2G instructions (opens in a new tab) set a $2,000 reporting threshold for slots and keno, and from tax year 2026 the loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses; check IRS guidance. Our gambling taxes guide explains record-keeping.

El Royale isn't a partner, and we don't link to it. The three casinos below run RTG or Spinlogic games and publish more of their terms. They are offshore too and not licensed by any US state, so check your state's law first, expect no state-backed protection or US complaint route, and remember each casino sets its own terms. Michigan's regulator has named SlotoCash and Silver Oak in its own releases. Offers are for new players aged 21+ (18+ only where allowed), and terms apply. • Decode Casino: $5,000 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Third-party listings report codes such as DECODE111 (111% up to $1,111, 25x bonus plus deposit, $25 minimum), and its site headlines a $111 free chip without visible terms. Reported weekly caps conflict ($2,500 vs $5,000). See the Decode review.
  • Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Its own pages advertise $10,000 over ten deposits at 30x on the offer page but 40x on slots in the terms, with no max withdrawal on the offer page and deposits from $30. It publishes an Anjouan license, and Michigan named it on April 9, 2025, the same day as El Royale. See the Silver Oak review.

The package shown at sign-up through our link may differ from the casinos' own pages, and the terms shown at sign-up apply. Bonuses and free spins are slot-focused; table games are often excluded or weighted lower. For head-to-head detail, see SlotoCash vs El Royale and Decode vs El Royale.

Frequently asked questions

Can I trust El Royale Casino?

El Royale appears to operate, but the evidence for trusting it is weak. The Michigan Gaming Control Board named it in an April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release on unlicensed offshore operators. Its operator and Curaçao license come only from a 2023 third-party review, with no license number, and the terms published there may be out of date. No US state licenses it. Our El Royale legitimacy check sets out each point.

What company runs El Royale Casino?

Third-party reviews name Infinity Media Group LTD as El Royale's operator. That claim couldn't be confirmed on the casino's own site, which blocks automated checks, and the review reporting it was last updated in April 2023. The same source reports a Curaçao license with no number and a 2020 launch, while also saying "6 Years". Ask support for the operator and license number in writing. Our Curaçao license explainer explains what to verify.

What is the El Royale Casino bonus code?

The most-cited El Royale code is EGGCITEMENT250, for a 250% slots bonus up to $2,500, according to a 2023 third-party review. The same review lists CRYPTOBONUS for a $9,500 crypto package with a $1,000 minimum deposit. Wagering, max cashout and expiry weren't published, and codes this old may have expired. Confirm the live code and terms in the cashier; 21+, terms apply. See our El Royale bonus page.

How fast does El Royale pay out in Bitcoin?

Third-party reviews report El Royale payouts in 1–2 days, or "under 48 hours", but that figure dates from 2023 and isn't confirmed by current terms. Withdrawals are reported in Bitcoin only, with a $150 minimum. Verification checks and any pending period can add time, so verify your account before requesting money. Read the El Royale withdrawals page for the steps.

Why did Michigan send El Royale a cease-and-desist?

Michigan's Gaming Control Board sends cease-and-desist letters to online gambling sites that serve Michigan residents without a state license. Its April 9, 2025 release named El Royale among 13 unlicensed operators, alongside Red Dog, Silver Oak and Planet 7, and the board calls such sites illegal offshore operators. Michigan licenses its own online casinos instead. Our guide to cease-and-desist letters explains what these orders mean.

Can I play at El Royale Casino in my state?

No US state licenses El Royale, and Michigan's regulator has ordered it to stop serving Michigan residents. Only seven states license real-money online casinos, and El Royale isn't approved in any of them. Your state's law decides your position as a player; federal UIGEA targets payment processing rather than making a bet a federal crime for the player. Check your state on our states hub before you do anything else.

Does El Royale accept crypto?

Yes, third-party reviews report crypto deposits in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDT. Withdrawals, though, are reported in Bitcoin only, so a USDT deposit would come back as Bitcoin, with price swings and network fees. The reported minimum withdrawal is $150. These details come from a 2023 review, so confirm them in the cashier. Our crypto wallet guide covers the basics.

Does El Royale have a mobile app?

No dedicated El Royale app is reported; third-party reviews describe it as web only, so you would play in your phone's browser. Offshore casinos are rarely listed in US app stores, so be wary of any download claiming to be an El Royale app. Browser play needs no install and works on iPhone and Android. Our mobile casino guide explains how browser-based casinos work on phones.

Can I use a credit card at El Royale Casino?

Card deposits weren't confirmed in the sources checked, which report crypto deposits in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDT. Even where an offshore casino lists cards, US banks often decline gambling charges coded MCC 7995, and some treat credit card gambling as a cash advance with extra fees. Withdrawals are reported in Bitcoin only, so a card wouldn't be a payout route either way. Check the cashier for current methods before you sign up. See can I withdraw to my credit card and the credit card casinos list for partners that publish card terms.

What is the minimum deposit for El Royale's crypto bonus?

The 2023 review that lists El Royale's $9,500 crypto package under the code CRYPTOBONUS gives a $1,000 minimum deposit, far above typical offshore minimums. The wagering, max cashout and expiry for that package weren't published, so a $1,000 deposit would be made without knowing the cost of clearing it. At an illustrative 40x on deposit plus bonus, even a modest match on $1,000 means tens of thousands of dollars of bets. Confirm the code still exists before depositing. Compare the high roller bonus page and our crypto casino bonus guide.

Can North Carolina players use El Royale Casino legally?

No, North Carolina doesn't license online casinos, and its gaming commission says wagering outside the state's legal channels is illegal as well as unsafe. North Carolina's legal options are state-licensed sports wagering, live since March 11, 2024 with seven operators, the state lottery, and three tribal casinos, including Harrah's Cherokee. El Royale publishes no excluded-state list that would settle this. The state's More Than A Game program offers help at 877-718-5543. See North Carolina gambling laws and whether you can play online casinos in North Carolina.

El Royale vs SlotoCash: which is better for US players?

SlotoCash publishes far more of its terms, though neither casino is licensed by any US state and Michigan has named both. SlotoCash's own pages give 25x wagering on deposit plus bonus, a $5,000 weekly cap, free Bitcoin withdrawals from $100 and processing within 48 business hours. El Royale's terms come from a 2023 review: Bitcoin-only withdrawals from $150, a claimed 1–2 day payout and no published wagering or cap. Both are reported to run RealTime Gaming slots. See our SlotoCash vs El Royale comparison and SlotoCash Bitcoin page.

Is El Royale Casino still open?

The site exists, but its current terms couldn't be confirmed, because its pages block automated checks and the main third-party review dates from April 2023. Michigan named El Royale as an active unlicensed operator on April 9, 2025, so it was serving US players then. Before depositing, check that the bonus codes, payout methods and minimums you've read about still appear in the cashier, and ask support for its license number in writing. Codes from 2023 may be long gone. See expired bonus codes and our guide to unofficial mirror sites.

What can I do if El Royale Casino won't pay my withdrawal?

Your main route is El Royale's own support, because no US state regulator oversees it. Michigan's Gaming Control Board says it can't help players recover deposits from offshore sites, and a Curaçao license claim with no number gives you little to escalate to. Send a written request with the date, amount and Bitcoin address, confirm your ID documents were accepted, and keep every reply. Don't deposit again to release a payout. Third-party complaint sites are the last resort. See can I get my money back from a casino and casino ADR and complaints.
