No deposit casino bonuses New York players come across are offered by offshore casinos, since the state licenses no online casino. They're small free chips with strict conditions: Silver Oak publishes chips of $25 to $100 at 30x wagering with a $100 cashout cap. Here's what those caps mean, and why most chips end at zero.
NY No state casinos; sweepstakes banned · New York guide
Every no deposit casino offer reaching New York is from an offshore casino; none is licensed by the state.
Silver Oak publishes $25, $50 and $100 chips at 30x wagering with a $100 cashout cap.
Miami Club's monthly $20 free chip carries 40x wagering and a cap of 5x the bonus or $150, depending on which of its pages you read.
Decode's $111 free chip isn't shown here: no terms are visible and third parties report it refuses New York.
On average, wagering through a small chip costs more than the chip is worth, so expect most chips to finish at zero.

No deposit casino bonuses New York: the short answer
A no deposit bonus gives you a small balance, or a batch of spins, without paying in first. In New York, every such casino offer comes from an offshore site, because the state hasn't licensed any online casino and the Gaming Commission calls unlicensed ones unlawful.
The offers are real but narrow. Each chip comes with wagering you must complete, a cap on what you can cash out, and often a rule that you deposit before withdrawing. This page explains each piece with dollar examples. The wider legal and safety picture is on our New York online casinos hub.
No deposit offers and New York law
The Gaming Commission's warning page (opens in a new tab) names online casinos, including ones that claim to be sweepstakes, as unlawful in New York. A bonus that asks for no deposit is still an invitation to play at one of those sites, and no New York body reviews its terms.
The closest thing to a no-purchase casino, the dual-currency sweepstakes site that hands out free coins redeemable for cash, was banned by S5935-A. Sources differ on the date: a third-party report gives December 5, 2025, effective immediately, while the state Senate's release announcing the signing is dated December 8, 2025. Our New York sweepstakes casinos page covers the ban, and the New York gambling laws page covers the rest.
How a no deposit free chip works
A free chip is bonus credit, not cash. You enter a code, the credit lands in your account, and any winnings stay locked as bonus money until you've wagered a set multiple of the chip. Even then, a cap limits how much of the result you can withdraw.
Wagering: the chip times the multiple. A $25 chip at 30x needs $750 in bets.
Max cashout: the most you can withdraw from the chip, whatever your balance after wagering.
Deposit-to-withdraw rules: some casinos require a real-money deposit before releasing free-chip winnings.
Eligible games: slots almost always; table games are often excluded or carry higher wagering.
Verification: ID checks still apply before any payout.
Only two of our partners publish a no deposit offer with terms you can read, and neither is reported to refuse New York players. Here's what each casino's own pages say, as of October 28, 2026.

Casino's promotions page, bonus terms and Terms of Use
Both casinos have conflicting figures. Silver Oak's no deposit page (opens in a new tab) gives a flat $100 cap, while its terms describe the cap as 1x the bonus with a $100 minimum, which, read as whichever is higher, works out to $100 for every chip listed. Miami Club's bonus terms (opens in a new tab) set a cap of 5x the bonus ($100 on a $20 chip), but its Terms of Use say $150. Ask support which applies before you play.
Why other partners aren't shown
Decode's site advertises a $111 free chip with no terms visible, and VegasSlotsOnline reports that Decode refuses New York players, so it's left off. SlotoCash and Slot Madness were originally assigned here, but SlotoCash publishes no standalone no deposit chip in the facts available, only a general free-bonus cashout range of $25 to $200. Slot Madness's $25 no deposit bonus comes from a casino.guru listing with no wagering stated. Silver Oak and Miami Club publish clearer terms.
What the max cashout cap means for a no deposit win
The cap matters most when a chip runs well. Here are three worked cases using the casinos' published terms.

In the Miami Club case, you'd also need to make a $25 deposit before the free-bonus winnings could be cashed out. The balances are illustrations, not likely results; most chips run out before wagering is finished. Read our max cashout rules page for how casinos apply caps.
What a no deposit bonus is really worth
Expected value puts a number on it. Wagering $750 to clear a $25 chip on a slot with a hypothetical 4% house edge costs an expected $750 × 4% = $30. That's more than the chip itself, so the average outcome is losing the whole chip before wagering ends. The few chips that survive are then trimmed by the cap.
That doesn't make a chip pointless. It's a way to try a casino's games and cashier without risking your own money first. Just don't treat it as income or as a reason to deposit afterwards. Our expected value of a bonus guide shows the method with other figures.
No deposit free spins vs free chips
Some no deposit offers come as spins on a named slot instead of a dollar chip. The spins are paid at a fixed stake, and their winnings then become bonus money with their own wagering and cap. Third-party reviews describe one at Decode, 50 spins on an RTG slot at 40x with a $200 cap, but Decode is reported to refuse New York, so it isn't an option here.
Neither featured casino lists no deposit spins in its published offers. Our free spins guide explains how spin winnings convert to bonus funds.
Rules that can void no deposit winnings
Back-to-back free bonuses: SlotoCash's general terms say consecutive free bonuses may void bonuses and winnings, and similar rules are common.
Bet limits: Miami Club caps bonus play at $2.00 per payline on slots and $10.00 per wager, and buying bonus features counts.
Forbidden games: Miami Club bars roulette while a bonus is active; Silver Oak sets 60x wagering for blackjack and video poker.
Inactivity: Miami Club's bonus terms say accounts with no deposits that sit inactive for 60 days lose their balance.
Duplicate accounts: one LCB.org complaint describes a $100 Silver Oak cashout refused over an alleged duplicate account. One account per person is a standard rule.
Our bonus abuse rules page explains how casinos define and police these terms.
How to claim a no deposit bonus from New York, step by step
Read New York's position on online casinos and decide whether to go ahead.
Open the casino's no deposit page and its general terms; note the wagering, cap, eligible games and any deposit-to-withdraw rule.
Register with your real details. Mismatched information will block a payout later.
Enter the code exactly as published in the cashier.
Play only eligible slots, staying under the max bet.
Upload ID and proof of address once wagering is complete.
Request a withdrawal up to the cap, and stop playing the remaining balance if you've hit your limit.
Unofficial mirror sites and too-good no deposit codes
Search results for no deposit codes often lead to unofficial mirror sites that copy a casino's branding. For Planet 7, one such site lists a $285 free chip and 120 free spins with a $1,200 cap, figures no independent source confirms. We don't treat mirror-site claims as confirmed, and you shouldn't either.
Independent reviewers give more modest figures for the same brand, such as a $25 chip at 30x with a $100 cap. Stick to codes on the casino's own promotions page or shown in its cashier. Our casino mirror sites guide explains how to recognize them.
Free chips, limits and help in New York
A chip that costs nothing can still start a pattern of chasing a cap or making the deposit a casino asks for. Decide in advance that you won't deposit to release free-chip winnings unless that was already in your budget. Frequently asked questions
Are there legal no deposit casino bonuses in New York?
No. New York licenses no online casino, so no state-regulated no deposit casino bonus exists. The offers New Yorkers see come from offshore casinos, which the Gaming Commission describes as unlawful in the state, and their terms aren't reviewed by any New York body. Sweepstakes sites with free redeemable coins were banned in December 2025. See our New York gambling laws page.
What is a free chip at the online casinos New Yorkers see?
It's a small amount of bonus credit an offshore casino gives a New Yorker without a deposit. Winnings from it stay locked until you meet the wagering, and a max cashout limits what you can withdraw. Silver Oak, for example, publishes $25, $50 and $100 chips at 30x with a $100 cap. A chip isn't cash and can't be withdrawn directly. Our what is a free chip answer has more.
How much can a New York player win from a no deposit bonus?
A New York player can win only up to the cashout cap, however well the chip runs. Silver Oak caps no deposit winnings at $100. Miami Club's bonus terms cap them at 5x the bonus, $100 on its $20 chip, while its Terms of Use say $150. Anything above the cap is forfeited when you withdraw. Our max cashout glossary entry explains the rule with examples.
Do New York players need to deposit to withdraw a no deposit bonus?
At some casinos, yes, New York players must deposit first. Miami Club's bonus terms require a $25 deposit before free-bonus winnings can be cashed out. Silver Oak's no deposit terms reviewed here don't state a deposit rule, though its general withdrawal terms apply, including identity checks. Read the full terms before you claim. Our Miami Club no deposit bonus guide covers its rules.
Why isn't the Decode $111 free chip listed for New York?
Two reasons. Decode's site shows a $111 free chip without visible terms, so the wagering and cap can't be checked. And VegasSlotsOnline reports that Decode restricts sign-ups from New York, along with Maryland, New Jersey and Washington. We don't show offers to readers a casino reportedly refuses. Our Decode review covers its terms for readers in other states.
Are no deposit bonus codes from mirror sites real?
Treat them as unconfirmed. Unofficial mirror sites copy casino branding and list codes that independent reviewers don't confirm, such as a $285 Planet 7 chip. Codes from those pages may not exist or may carry different terms. Use codes from the casino's own promotions page or cashier only. Our casino mirror sites guide explains how to spot them.
Is a no deposit bonus worth it for New York players?
For New York players it's a low-cost way to try a casino, not a way to make money. Clearing a $25 chip at 30x means $750 in bets, which at a 4% house edge costs an expected $30, more than the chip. Most chips run out before wagering ends, and any that survive are trimmed by the cap. See our best no deposit bonus casinos list for terms compared.
Can New York players use a no deposit bonus on blackjack?
Usually not on useful terms for New York players. Silver Oak sets 60x wagering for blackjack and video poker against 30x for slots on its no deposit chips, and Miami Club's bonus terms weight blackjack at 5% and forbid roulette with an active bonus. Free chips are built for slots, so check the eligible games list before you play anything else. Our game weighting guide explains the math.
Do no deposit bonuses expire for New York players?
It depends on the casino, so read the terms before you start wagering. Miami Club's bonus terms say its bonuses have no expiry and stay active until wagering is met, but accounts with no deposits that sit inactive for 60 days lose their balance. Silver Oak doesn't publish an expiry for its SILVER25, SILVER50 or FREESILVER chips, so ask support in writing. Codes themselves can change or end at any time, which is why the cashier is the place to check. See do bonus codes expire and the Silver Oak no deposit bonus page.
What ID does a New York player need to cash out a free chip?
Expect to send a government photo ID and a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your New York address before any free-chip winnings are paid. Casinos match these against the name, date of birth and address on your account, so register with your real details from the start. Some also ask for proof of the payment method used for any later deposit, such as the $25 deposit Miami Club requires before cashing out a free bonus. Mismatches can void winnings. See why does the casino want my documents and the source of funds checks guide.
Can I claim Miami Club's MIFREE20 chip every month from New York?
Miami Club's promotions page lists MIFREE20 as a $20 free chip each month, but eligibility needs checking first. Its Terms of Use v2.1, dated September 28, 2026, list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction in section 1.6, while the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm at sign-up. Each chip carries 40x wagering, or $800 in bets, a cap of 5x the bonus or $150, and a $25 deposit before cashout. A monthly chip is still one account per person. See the Miami Club bonus codes page and our Miami Club review.
Are no deposit bonus winnings taxable in New York?
Yes, money you withdraw from a free chip counts as gambling income for federal tax purposes, even though you didn't deposit. The IRS W-2G threshold for slot wins in 2026 is $2,000, which a chip capped at $100 or $150 won't reach, but the income is still reportable and offshore casinos may send no form at all. Keep a record of each withdrawal. New York's own income tax treatment isn't covered here, so ask a tax professional. See do I pay tax on casino winnings and our gambling taxes guide.
Can New Yorkers get free coins from sweepstakes casinos instead of a no deposit bonus?
Not legally with cash prizes, because New York banned dual-currency sweepstakes casinos under S5935-A in December 2025. The law covers casino-style games that pay cash or cash equivalents, with fines of $10,000 to $100,000 per violation for operators, and most big sweepstakes brands now list New York as excluded. Games with no redeemable prize aren't covered, but they can't pay you anything. The Gaming Commission also calls sweepstakes-branded online casinos unlawful. Read New York sweepstakes casinos and which states ban sweepstakes casinos.
