Crypto casinos in Idaho are offshore sites, because no Idaho agency licenses online casinos and paying in Bitcoin doesn't change the state constitution's ban on casino gambling. Here's what the coins actually change: which ones casinos list, published payout times and fees, price swings while you wait, and why crypto payments can't be pulled back.
Paying with Bitcoin doesn't make an online casino legal in Idaho; the constitution bans casino gambling whatever the payment method.
Crypto is the main cashout route at the casinos we cover, but published payout times run from 48 hours to 7–10 days, and reviewers report longer waits.
Weekly withdrawal caps of about $2,500 apply to Bitcoin too.
Coin prices move while you wait: the CFPB recorded Bitcoin more than 70% below its November 2021 high in October 2022.
Crypto transfers generally can't be reversed, so a mistake or a scam is hard to recover from.

Are crypto casinos legal in Idaho?
No. Idaho licenses no online casinos of any kind, and Article III, Section 20 of the Idaho Constitution (opens in a new tab) declares gambling contrary to public policy and strictly prohibited, apart from the lottery, pari-mutuel betting and charitable bingo and raffles. Idaho Code 18-3802 makes gambling a misdemeanor. Nothing in either text turns on how a bet is paid for.
So a Bitcoin casino is an offshore casino with a different cashier. It isn't licensed or regulated by Idaho or any US state, and choosing crypto doesn't add a legal layer. For the wider picture, start at our Idaho online casinos hub and the Idaho gambling laws breakdown.
Why offshore casinos steer Idaho players to Bitcoin
Cards are the weak link. Card networks tag gambling with merchant category code 7995, and many US issuers decline those charges or treat credit card gambling as a cash advance with fees. The legal background is UIGEA's payment rule (opens in a new tab), which bars gambling businesses from accepting cards, transfers and checks for unlawful internet gambling. Our card declines guide explains the codes.
UIGEA aims at the businesses taking payments, not at the player placing a bet. Crypto sidesteps the card networks, which is why it's often the main route for both deposits and withdrawals at the casinos we cover. That's a convenience point, not a legal one; see our UIGEA explainer for what the federal law does and doesn't do.
Bitcoin and other coins: what each partner casino lists
Coin lists differ, and so does the quality of the source. Where a casino's own site was readable, the entry is primary; for the rest, it comes from review sites.
Notice the gap: most casinos take several coins in, but pay out only in Bitcoin. If you deposit Litecoin or Tether (USDT), expect to be paid in Bitcoin and to carry its price risk until you sell.
Bitcoin withdrawal speed for Idaho players
Speed is the main selling point, yet published times and reviewers' reports often disagree. The table separates the two.

Two lessons follow. A $10,000 win at a $2,500 weekly cap takes at least four weeks to leave the casino, and processing clocks often count business days only. Our Idaho fast payout casinos page goes deeper on caps and verification.
Crypto casino fees in dollars
Casino-side fees are published in places and missing in others. Silver Oak's banking page lists a Bitcoin withdrawal fee of $0 to $40, which is up to 40% of a $100 cashout, and card deposits there cost 3–10%, or $6 to $20 on $200. SlotoCash lists Bitcoin withdrawals as free. AskGamblers reports no withdrawal fees at Planet 7 and Royal Ace.
Network fees and exchange spreads sit on top, and the casinos don't publish them. Buying $200 of Bitcoin, sending it, then selling winnings back to dollars can involve three separate charges. Our crypto fees guide shows where each one appears.
Price swings: the hidden cost of crypto casinos
Coins don't hold a fixed dollar value. The CFPB's 2022 crypto complaint bulletin (opens in a new tab) recorded Bitcoin down more than 70% from its November 2021 high as of October 3, 2022, and total crypto market value down by as much as 68% by July 2022.
Here's what that means in practice. Say $500 of Bitcoin sits in your wallet before a deposit or after a withdrawal. A 10% fall leaves $450; a 70% fall, like the one the CFPB recorded, leaves $150. Prices can rise too, but that's speculation layered on gambling, and the waits above give the price plenty of time to move.
Crypto scams and why payments can't be reversed
A card payment can be disputed; a crypto transfer generally can't. The FTC warns that crypto payments lack the legal protections of credit cards (opens in a new tab) and usually can't be reversed. The CFPB logged more than 8,300 crypto complaints from October 2018 to September 2022: 40% concerned fraud and scams, and 16% said money wasn't available when promised.
Unofficial mirror sites copy casino brands and their cashier pages, so a deposit address on a lookalike site may send coins to a stranger. Type the casino's address yourself, check the wallet address twice, and report crypto fraud to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Our crypto casino scams guide lists common tricks.
How a Bitcoin casino deposit works, step by step
Check Idaho's position first: the constitution bans casino gambling, and any crypto casino you reach is offshore.
Buy coins at an exchange in your own name and move them to a wallet you control; our guide on buying Bitcoin for casinos covers this.
Open the casino's cashier, pick the coin and copy the deposit address it shows. Paste it and compare the first and last characters.
Send a small test amount first if the casino's minimum allows it; Lightning Bitcoin minimums start at $5 at several partners.
Wait for the network confirmations the cashier requires before the balance appears.
Upload your ID documents before you need a withdrawal, since every casino here asks for them before paying out.
Crypto doesn't skip ID checks
Anonymous play is a common assumption, and it's wrong for these casinos. LCB reports that Planet 7 asks for photo ID, proof of address and a selfie holding the ID, with checks taking up to three days. Royal Ace lists a documents email and the same 0–3 day window, according to LCB. Silver Oak's own terms block withdrawals until verification is complete.
Expect the same request whatever coin you use. Our KYC documents guide explains what each document proves and how to send it safely.
Taxes on crypto casino winnings in Idaho
Winnings are taxable federal income whether you're paid in dollars or Bitcoin. For 2026 payments, the IRS W-2G thresholds start at $2,000 for slots and keno, and for other wagering apply where the win also reaches 300 times the stake. Losses count only up to winnings, and from the 2026 tax year the deduction is reportedly limited to 90% of losses; check IRS guidance.
Converting coins to dollars can raise separate tax questions, and Idaho's state treatment isn't covered here. Keep dated records and ask a tax professional. Our gambling taxes page explains the federal rules.
Crypto gambling and staying in control
Crypto makes deposits quick and amounts abstract, which can blur how much you've spent. Set a dollar budget, not a coin budget, and ask support for deposit limits or a cool-off where a casino offers them. AskGamblers lists no self-service limit tools at Planet 7 or Royal Ace, so you may have to email support.

Planet 7 Casino: $2,750 Welcome Bonus + 45 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Casino Guru lists the minimum age as 21.
Royal Ace Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 35 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Reviewers disagree on its own package: LCB reports 200% up to $4,000 at 30x (bonus plus deposit) on slots and 60x on blackjack and video poker, with a max cashout of 10 times the deposit, while Casino Guru reports 250% up to $2,500 plus 35 spins.
Bonuses are slot-focused, table games are often excluded or weighted lower, and codes change, so the terms shown at sign-up apply. Michigan's Gaming Control Board named Planet 7 in an April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release (opens in a new tab) calling such sites illegal offshore operators; Royal Ace isn't named in the board's releases covering our partners. Frequently asked questions
Are crypto casinos legal in Idaho?
No Idaho agency licenses crypto casinos or any other online casino. The Idaho Constitution bans casino gambling and Idaho Code 18-3802 makes gambling a misdemeanor, and neither depends on the payment method. Crypto casinos that accept Idaho sign-ups are offshore and not licensed by any US state, so there's no state complaint route or balance protection. Our page on whether crypto casinos are legal covers the federal side.
How long do Bitcoin casino withdrawals take for Idaho players?
Published times at the casinos we cover range from 48 hours at SlotoCash and Miami Club to 7–10 days at Silver Oak. For Planet 7 and Royal Ace, AskGamblers reports pending periods of 5–10 days before payment, and LCB says payouts often take a month or more. Weekly caps near $2,500 slow big wins further. See how long Bitcoin withdrawals take for what affects timing.
Which cryptocurrencies do offshore casinos accept from Idaho players?
Bitcoin is accepted everywhere we checked, and Litecoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash are common. Planet 7 and Royal Ace are also reported to take Dogecoin, Tether and XRP. Withdrawals are narrower: most of these casinos pay out only in Bitcoin, with Miami Club also listing Ethereum. Coin lists change, so check the cashier. Our page on what crypto casinos accept compares the options.
Is Bitcoin safe for casino deposits from Idaho?
Bitcoin moves money quickly, but it carries risks that cards don't. Transfers generally can't be reversed, the coin's price can fall while you wait for a payout, and lookalike mirror sites can show a fake deposit address. The CFPB found fraud and scams were 40% of crypto complaints it received from 2018 to 2022. Read is Bitcoin safe for casinos before your first deposit.
Do crypto casinos pay out faster than cards?
Usually, yes, because most of these casinos don't pay out to cards at all. Miami Club, for instance, states cards aren't available for withdrawals, leaving Bitcoin, bank wire or courier check. Wires and checks at the casinos we cover can cost $30 to $60 and take days longer than published Bitcoin times. Speed still depends on verification and weekly caps. Our Idaho real money casinos page compares methods.
Can I stay anonymous at a crypto casino?
Not at the casinos we cover. Each asks for identity documents before paying a withdrawal: reviewers report photo ID, proof of address and a selfie with the ID at Planet 7, and Silver Oak's terms block withdrawals until checks are complete. Using false details breaks casino rules and can void winnings. Our guide on why casinos ask for documents explains the process.
Are crypto casino winnings taxable in Idaho?
Yes. Gambling winnings are taxable federal income in any currency, including Bitcoin. For 2026 payments, W-2G reporting starts at $2,000 for slot and keno wins. Losses are deductible only up to winnings, and the deduction is reportedly capped at 90% of losses from the 2026 tax year, so check IRS guidance. Selling coins can add separate tax issues. See our gambling taxes guide.
What is the weekly withdrawal cap at crypto casinos?
Around $2,500 a week is typical at the casinos we cover, Bitcoin included. Royal Ace is also reported to cap withdrawals at $5,000 a month, and Silver Oak's terms set a monthly limit of $5,000 or $10,000 depending on your balance. A $10,000 win would take at least four weeks to collect at $2,500 a week. Our weekly withdrawal limits guide explains how caps work.
What is the minimum Bitcoin deposit at Idaho crypto casinos?
Lightning Bitcoin deposits start at $5 at several of the casinos we cover, which makes a small test deposit possible before you send more. Standard Bitcoin minimums are higher and vary by casino, and bonus minimums can sit above the cashier minimum: Blockonomi gives a $30 minimum deposit for Planet 7's welcome offer. Check the cashier for the coin you plan to use. Our minimum deposits page compares typical floors across payment methods.
Does Planet 7 accept Dogecoin from Idaho players?
Third-party reviews say yes: Planet 7's reported deposit list includes Dogecoin alongside Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether and XRP. Withdrawals are a different matter, because reviewers report Bitcoin as its crypto payout method, so Dogecoin you deposit would likely come back as Bitcoin. None of this is published on a casino page we could read, so check the cashier. Our Dogecoin banking guide and Planet 7 review cover the details.
Are there fees on Bitcoin withdrawals at Idaho crypto casinos?
Sometimes, and it depends on the casino. Silver Oak's banking page lists a Bitcoin withdrawal fee of $0 to $40, which can be up to 40% of a $100 cashout, while SlotoCash lists Bitcoin withdrawals as free and AskGamblers reports no withdrawal fees at Planet 7 or Royal Ace. Network fees and exchange spreads come on top and aren't published by casinos. See do casinos charge fees for the full list of charges to check.
What should Idaho players do if a crypto casino deposit goes to the wrong address?
Act quickly, but expect that the coins may not come back, because crypto transfers generally can't be reversed. The FTC warns that crypto payments lack the legal protections of credit cards. If you sent coins to an address on an unofficial mirror site, stop using that site and report the fraud to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. From then on, type the casino's address yourself. Our crypto casino scams guide lists the tricks to watch for.
Can I get a crypto bonus at Bitcoin casinos open to Idaho?
Yes, offshore casinos run crypto and match bonuses that Idaho players can see, but the terms come mostly from reviewers. LCB lists Planet 7's own 200% welcome bonus, code WELCOME200, at 30x bonus plus deposit on slots with a $1,000 max cashout. Reviewers disagree on Royal Ace's package. Offers are for new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, and terms apply. Compare more offers on our Idaho online casino bonuses page.
Does Royal Ace pay out in Bitcoin to Idaho players?
Yes, third-party reviews list Bitcoin as Royal Ace's crypto withdrawal method, with a $20 minimum reported by LCB. Caps are reported at $2,500 a week and $5,000 a month. Timing is the weak point: AskGamblers reports a 7–10 day pending period followed by 10–14 days to pay, and LCB says payouts often take a month or more. Verify your account early to avoid extra delays. Our Royal Ace review covers its banking in full.
