Best Amex casinos for US players

The best Amex casinos for US players are the offshore sites that list American Express in their cashier: six of our seven partners do, though only two publish it on their own banking pages. Fees run from about $1 to 10% of the deposit, Amex can’t take a payout, and none of these casinos is licensed by a US state.

Key takeaways

  • Six of our seven partners list American Express; SlotoCash and Silver Oak publish it themselves, the rest come from third-party reviews.
  • Published Amex fees range from $0.01–$1 per deposit (SlotoCash) to 3–10% (Silver Oak).
  • Amex is deposit-only here: winnings come back by Bitcoin, bank wire or check.
  • Card issuers can decline gambling code MCC 7995 and may treat the charge as a cash advance.
  • All partners are offshore and unlicensed by any US state; check your state’s law first.

Best Amex casinos in the USA: the short answer

If you want to fund an offshore casino account with an American Express card, five partners on this page list it: Silver Oak, Planet 7, Royal Ace, Slot Madness and SlotoCash. A sixth, Decode Casino, also appears with Amex on a third-party listing. The seventh, Miami Club, publishes Visa and Mastercard but not Amex, so it isn’t ranked here.

Only two of these casinos show Amex on their own cashier pages. SlotoCash’s banking page (opens in a new tab) lists American Express from $25 with a fee of $0.01 to $1, and Silver Oak’s banking page (opens in a new tab) groups Amex with Visa, Mastercard and Discover at $30 to $1,000 per deposit with a 3–10% fee. For Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness, Amex comes from review sites, which is weaker evidence.

Two points matter more than any ranking. Amex is a way in, not a way out: no partner lists card withdrawals. And these are offshore casinos that no US state licenses or regulates, so your state’s law and your card issuer both have a say before the casino does.

How we ranked these American Express casinos

The order below is the site owner’s commercial order for this page, not the result of a test. We earn a commission when readers sign up through our links, and the advertiser disclosure explains how that works. Within each entry we stick to facts that bear on paying with Amex.

  • Is Amex listed, and by whom? A casino’s own banking page beats a third-party listing.
  • What does an Amex deposit cost? Published card fees and minimums, in dollars.
  • How do you get paid? Since Amex can’t receive winnings, the withdrawal methods, caps and reported times matter.
  • What do regulators and reviewers say? Michigan cease-and-desist actions and reported payout complaints.
  • What do the bonus terms say? Wagering and max cashout, because a card deposit often triggers a match.

For the full set of ranked lists, start at our best online casinos hub. No casino gets a score out of five, because we don’t test accounts.

1. Silver Oak: Amex on its own banking page, with a 3–10% fee

Silver Oak Casino is the only partner that names its license: its terms say it’s run by Primrose Media Limited and licensed in Anjouan under the Computer Gaming Licensing Act 007 of 2005. Its banking page lists Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover together at $30 to $1,000 per deposit, with a fee of 3–10%. On a $200 Amex deposit that’s $6 to $20 gone before you play.

Withdrawals go out by Bitcoin ($50–$2,500, fee $0–$40), bank wire ($100–$2,500, fee $0–$20), check ($100–$2,500, fee $0–$25) or Coindraw (5% fee). The terms add a review stage of 7–10 business days before payment, a weekly cap from $2,500 and an 8% fee (minimum $4) if a deposit hasn’t been wagered once. That last rule matters if you deposit by card and try to cash out unplayed funds.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board named Silver Oak in its April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release (opens in a new tab), describing the sites as illegal offshore operators. Third-party reviewers also report slow payments. See the Silver Oak banking guide for every method.

2. Planet 7: American Express on reviewers’ lists, $30 card minimum

Planet 7 Casino appears with American Express on a third-party list of 18 payment methods, and another reviewer gives a $30 minimum for credit and debit cards. Nothing here was read on the casino’s own site, so check the cashier before you count on Amex.

Reported withdrawal methods are bank wire, check and Bitcoin, with a weekly cap of $2,500 in most reviews. One reviewer lists a pending period of 5–7 days plus 7–9 days for bank transfers; another describes payouts that “usually take more than a month”. License reports conflict (Costa Rica or none). Michigan named Planet 7 in the same April 9, 2025 release as Silver Oak.

3. Royal Ace: Amex reported, with slower payouts flagged

Royal Ace Casino also shows Amex on a third-party method list, with a reported $30 card minimum. Reviewers put withdrawals at a $20 minimum, $2,500 a week and $5,000 a month, paid by bank wire, check or Bitcoin. One reviewer lists a 7–10 day pending period followed by 10–14 days for bank transfers.

Operator and license reports disagree: different reviewers name Emoney Processing, Primrose Media or Ace Revenue Group, and either Costa Rica or no license. Royal Ace doesn’t appear in any of the three Michigan releases that name our other partners. One review site reports it doesn’t accept players from Ohio.

4. Slot Madness: Amex reported, $20 payout minimum

Slot Madness has the same reported card set as its sister sites, including American Express from $30. Reviewers list bank wire, check, Bitcoin and Litecoin for withdrawals, a $20 minimum and caps of $2,500 a week and $5,000 a month.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board named Slot Madness, along with Miami Club, in its August 14, 2025 order (opens in a new tab). Reported licenses range from Anjouan to Costa Rica to none, so treat any license claim with care. One reviewer reports Ohio players aren’t accepted.

5. SlotoCash: the lowest published Amex fee and minimum

On cost alone, SlotoCash has the clearest Amex terms: its own banking page lists American Express from $25 with a fee of $0.01 to $1. A $200 deposit therefore costs at most $1 in casino fees, against up to $20 at Silver Oak. Your card issuer’s own charges are separate.

Payouts run by Bitcoin, bank wire or courier check, with a weekly limit of $5,000 and a monthly limit of $20,000 in its terms. The banking page and payout-methods page disagree on fees: wire is $50 on one and $60 on the other. SlotoCash doesn’t name a license on its site; it’s widely reported as a Deckmedia N.V. brand. Michigan named it in its October 8, 2026 release (opens in a new tab).

What an Amex casino deposit really costs

Three costs stack up. First, the casino’s card fee. Second, your issuer may treat a gambling charge as a cash advance, which typically brings its own fee and interest from day one; your cardmember agreement sets those terms. Third, the house edge, which applies to every dollar you wager.

A $200 Amex deposit: casino fee only
CasinoPublished feeFee on $200Left to play
SlotoCash$0.01–$1Up to $1$199 or more
Silver Oak3–10%$6 to $20$180 to $194
Planet 7, Royal Ace, Slot MadnessNot publishedUnknownCheck the cashier

Now add the game. Expected loss is total stake times house edge. If a bonus makes you wager $4,000 on slots with an illustrative 4% house edge, the expected cost is $4,000 × 0.04 = $160. That’s an average, not a forecast: you may lose more or less, and losses are the likely result over time. Our guide to wagering requirements shows how to run these numbers.

Why American Express gets declined at online casinos

Card networks tag gambling transactions with merchant category code 7995. Many US issuers decline that code by default or ask for extra verification, as a bank policy choice. The legal backdrop is the UIGEA payment prohibition, 31 U.S.C. § 5363 (opens in a new tab), which bars gambling businesses from accepting credit, electronic transfers and checks in connection with unlawful internet gambling.

So an Amex decline usually says nothing about your account standing. It reflects your issuer’s policy on gambling merchants. Don’t try to disguise the transaction or route it through another person’s card: casinos check that the card matches the account holder, and your issuer’s rules still apply. Our card declines guide covers the legitimate options, such as asking your issuer what it allows.

Don’t turn to VPNs, false details or someone else’s card to force a deposit through. It breaks casino terms and can cost you your balance.

How to deposit with Amex at an online casino

  1. Check your state’s law on online gambling before you open an account.
  2. Read the casino’s banking page for Amex minimums, maximums and fees; if Amex isn’t shown in the cashier, it isn’t available to you.
  3. Register with your real name and the billing address on your Amex account, so verification matches later.
  4. Decide whether you want the welcome bonus. If you do, enter any code the cashier asks for before you deposit and read the wagering and max cashout rules.
  5. Enter the card amount and note the casino fee shown before you confirm.
  6. Check your Amex statement for how the charge posted, and whether your issuer added a cash advance fee.
  7. Set a deposit limit with support if you plan to keep playing; several partners set limits on request.

Expect card verification before your first payout. Silver Oak’s terms, for example, ask for the front and back of cards used in the last three months. Our verification guide lists what casinos usually request.

Amex casino withdrawals: how you actually get paid

No partner lists American Express as a withdrawal method, so plan your exit before you deposit. Bitcoin, bank wire and check are the published routes. Bitcoin carries the lowest fees at SlotoCash (free) and Silver Oak ($0–$40), but crypto payments generally can’t be reversed and prices move.

  • Bank wire: $50–$60 at SlotoCash, $0–$20 at Silver Oak; our bank wire ranking covers it in depth.
  • Check by courier: $30 or $60 at SlotoCash (its two pages disagree), $0–$25 at Silver Oak.
  • Bitcoin: minimums of $50–$100 and a $2,500 per-request maximum at both.
  • Weekly caps: $5,000 at SlotoCash, from $2,500 at Silver Oak, $2,500 reported at the Planet 7 group.

Winnings are taxable federal income whichever way they arrive, and an offshore casino won’t handle that for you. Read our gambling taxes guide and keep your own records.

Other casinos you’ll see on Amex lists

Search results for Amex casinos mix our partners with brands we don’t promote. We don’t have verified Amex facts for those brands, so check their cashiers yourself and read our reviews first.

  • Raging Bull Slots: run by Primrose Media Limited under an Anjouan license, the same company Silver Oak names; Michigan named it on October 8, 2026.
  • Red Dog Casino: Anjouan license, a published $30 card minimum (card brands not named in what we reviewed), and named by Michigan on April 9, 2025.
  • Decode: one of our partners, listed with Amex, Discover and Diners Club by a third-party reviewer; not in the offers on this page.

Paying with Amex doesn’t change the legal question, which state law answers. Seven states license real-money online casinos: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Our partners aren’t licensed in any of them. Elsewhere, no state licenses online casinos at all; see states with legal online casinos.

UIGEA targets the payment side and doesn’t make placing a bet a federal crime for the player. What your state says is what counts, and some are blunt: Washington makes knowingly sending or receiving gambling information online a class C felony, and Michigan’s regulator calls these sites illegal offshore operators. Our page on offshore casino legality goes state by state.

If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), by call, text or chat. More tools are on our responsible gambling hub.

  • Slot Madness Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Reviewers report 275% up to $2,750 (MAD275), $30 minimum, 30x deposit-plus-bonus on slots and no max cashout (third-party).

These bonuses are built for slots. Table games are often excluded or weighted lower, so check each casino’s terms before you play, and remember codes change.

Frequently asked questions

Which online casinos accept American Express in the US?

SlotoCash and Silver Oak list Amex on their own banking pages, and third-party reviews list it at Planet 7, Royal Ace, Slot Madness and Decode. All are offshore casinos that no US state licenses. Miami Club lists Visa and Mastercard but not Amex. Acceptance also depends on your issuer, which may block gambling charges. Compare other card options on our best Visa casinos page.

Is a deposit at these Amex casinos treated as a cash advance?

It can be, depending on your card issuer. Many issuers treat credit card gambling transactions as cash advances, which usually means a separate fee and interest that starts right away. The casino’s own card fee is on top of that. Read your cardmember agreement or call the number on your card before depositing. Our credit card casino guide explains the costs.

Do the best Amex casinos pay winnings back to the card?

No, not at our partners. None lists card withdrawals, and Miami Club says plainly that cards aren’t available for withdrawal. Payouts go by Bitcoin, bank wire or check, with minimums from about $20 to $150 and weekly caps from $2,500. Set up one of those routes before you deposit. Our withdrawal guide walks through each one.

Why was my American Express declined at an online casino?

Most likely your issuer blocked merchant code 7995, the code for gambling transactions. Many US issuers decline it by default or ask for extra checks, against the background of UIGEA’s payment rules. A decline doesn’t mean your account is in trouble. Ask your issuer what it permits, and never mask the transaction or use someone else’s card. See our card declines guide.

What is the minimum Amex deposit at these casinos?

The lowest published Amex minimum is $25 at SlotoCash. Silver Oak publishes $30 to $1,000 per card deposit, and reviewers report a $30 card minimum at Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness. A bonus may set its own minimum, such as SlotoCash’s $20 per welcome bonus. For cheaper ways in, see our low deposit casinos list.

Do Amex casinos charge deposit fees?

Some do, and they vary a lot. SlotoCash’s banking page lists $0.01 to $1 per card deposit, while Silver Oak lists 3–10%, which is $6 to $20 on $200. Planet 7, Royal Ace and Slot Madness don’t have published card fees in what we reviewed. Your issuer may add cash advance charges. Our withdrawal fees guide covers the other end.

Is Amex or Bitcoin better for casino deposits?

It depends on what you value. Amex is familiar and needs no wallet, but it can be declined, may count as a cash advance and can carry fees up to 10% at Silver Oak. Bitcoin has no deposit fee at SlotoCash or Silver Oak and doubles as a payout method, but crypto transfers generally can’t be reversed and prices move. Compare on best Bitcoin casinos.

Is it legal to play at the Amex casinos on this list?

The card doesn’t decide that; your state’s law does. Only seven states license online casinos, and our offshore partners aren’t licensed in any of them. UIGEA targets payment processing rather than making the bet a federal crime for players, but states such as Washington treat online gambling harshly. Check your state on our states hub and read offshore casino legality.

Does SlotoCash accept American Express?

Yes, SlotoCash's own banking page lists American Express alongside Visa and Mastercard, with a $25 minimum and a fee of $0.01 to $1 per deposit. That's the lowest published Amex fee among our partners. Its verification rules say the name and address on your profile must match your bank details for card deposits, so register with the details on your Amex statement. Withdrawals then go by Bitcoin, bank wire or courier check, not back to the card. The SlotoCash banking page lists every method and fee.

Can I claim a welcome bonus with an Amex deposit?

Usually yes, as long as the card deposit meets the bonus minimum and you enter any required code first. At SlotoCash, a $25 Amex deposit clears its $20-per-bonus minimum, with 25x deposit plus bonus wagering under its terms. Silver Oak's ten-deposit package starts at $30, which matches its card minimum, though its terms say 40x on slots. Card fees come off before you play, and bonus funds are aimed at slots, with table games often excluded. Our welcome bonus guide explains how matches are calculated.

How long does a Silver Oak withdrawal take after an Amex deposit?

Silver Oak's terms describe two stages: a review of 7 to 10 business days, then 7 to 10 business days for the payment itself, so up to about four working weeks in total. Amex isn't a payout option, so the money comes by Bitcoin, bank wire, check or Coindraw, each with its own fee. The weekly cap starts at $2,500, and an 8% fee (minimum $4) applies if a deposit hasn't been wagered once. Third-party reviewers report slow payments. See the Silver Oak withdrawals page for method limits.

Can I use Amex at a legal online casino in Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania is one of the seven states that license real-money online casinos, so state-licensed sites are an option there. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board listed 12 certificateholders and 25 authorized casino sites as of February 13, 2026. Which cards each licensed site takes is set by that operator, so check its cashier. None of the offshore partners on this page is licensed in Pennsylvania, and a licensed site comes with a state regulator you can complain to. Read our Pennsylvania online casinos guide for the licensed options.

Does Decode Casino take American Express?

Reportedly yes: a third-party listing shows Decode accepting Amex along with Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Diners Club, with a $25 minimum for card deposits. Decode's own banking terms couldn't be read, so treat that as reported and check the cashier before you rely on it. Reviewers also say Decode refuses players from Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington, and that Bitcoin withdrawals start at $100 with a weekly cap of $2,500 or $5,000, depending on the source. The Decode banking page has the full method list.
