Vegas Lux slot: a Strip-themed RTG game from 2020
Vegas Lux went live on May 27, 2020, and takes its look from the Las Vegas Strip. What sets it apart in the RealTime Gaming catalog is the reel shape: the middle reel is tallest and the outer reels shortest, so the grid forms a diamond rather than a rectangle.
A ways-to-win game doesn't use fixed lines. Any symbol on one reel can connect with matching symbols on the next reel, in any row. The total number of ways is the product of the symbols showing on each reel.
For Vegas Lux that's 3 x 4 x 5 x 4 x 3 = 720, which matches the reported figure. The diamond shape is what produces that number on only 19 visible positions.
What 'pays both ways' adds
Most slots pay only from the leftmost reel to the right. Third-party data lists Vegas Lux as paying both ways, meaning matching runs that start from the rightmost reel can pay too. That gives more ways to form a win, but the paytable values are set with that in mind; it doesn't make the game cheaper to play. The RTP, not the number of ways, sets the long-run cost.
The game also lists wilds, which substitute for other symbols, and scatters, which pay or trigger features anywhere. The data doesn't say whether both-ways pays apply to every symbol or how wilds behave on the narrow outer reels, so check the paytable.
Vegas Lux free spins, wilds and scatters
Free spins are Vegas Lux's listed bonus round. In RTG games they're usually triggered by scatters, but the number of scatters needed, the spins awarded and any extras during the round aren't in our data. The in-game help screen will have them.
Free spins in a slot are played without deducting your stake, and any wins add to your balance. They're separate from casino free spins credited by a welcome offer, which come with wagering; see free spins winnings for those rules.
We don't quote hit rates or how often Vegas Lux's free spins trigger. Credible figures aren't published, and every spin is independent of the last.
Vegas Lux real money budget: $50 at three stake levels
Medium volatility is reported, which suggests a mix of smaller regular wins and occasional larger ones. Without a published RTP, the cost can only be shown per point of house edge.

As an example of using the table, a 95% RTP would mean a 5-point edge, so 300 spins at $1 would cost about $15 on average. That's an illustration of the method; Vegas Lux's real RTP isn't published. The 300 spins are a comparison figure, not a claim about speed.
With a 1,320x cap, the biggest possible win on a $0.25 spin is $330, so very small stakes keep the top end modest. Read our gambling budget guide for a simple way to set limits.
Vegas Lux RTP: how to find it before you play
No source in our data publishes Vegas Lux's RTP. Some RTG titles run at different settings at different casinos, so the casino's own figure is the one to rely on.
Open Vegas Lux in the casino's lobby, in demo mode if it's offered.
Tap the menu, info or 'i' icon to open the rules.
Look for return to player, RTP or theoretical payout.
If no figure appears, ask support in writing and keep the reply.
Use the per-point table above to estimate the cost once you have the number.
Our guide to how slot RTP works explains why the figure is a long-run average and never a forecast for a session.
Vegas Lux bonus play: Silver Oak's terms in dollars
Vegas Lux isn't listed as a progressive, so it shouldn't be caught by Silver Oak's or SlotoCash's progressive exclusions. Silver Oak's published new-member offer is a 100% match on each of the first ten deposits, up to $10,000, which differs from the offer via our link. The casino's pages conflict on wagering: 30x on the offer page, 40x for slots in its terms and conditions (opens in a new tab).
Deposit $50 and receive a $50 match.
At 30x the bonus, wagering is $1,500; at 40x it's $2,000. If the multiple applies to deposit plus bonus, those figures double.
Each point of house edge costs $15 to $20 on average across that wagering.
The offer page states no max withdrawal; ask support which wagering rule applies.
Crazy Vegas shares the theme but uses a progressive and has a low reported RTP. Popinata shares the both-ways mechanic with a published 96.25%. See all titles in our slot reviews hub.
Is Vegas Lux legal to play online in the US?
Real-money online casinos are licensed in seven states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Vegas Lux is an RTG game, found mainly at offshore casinos that no state licenses.
Your state's law sets the rules. With an offshore site there's no state regulator to complain to and no state protection for your balance. Michigan's Gaming Control Board named Silver Oak on April 9, 2025, Slot Madness on August 14, 2025, and SlotoCash on October 8, 2026, in cease-and-desist actions against what it calls illegal offshore operators (October 2026 release (opens in a new tab)). Our page on offshore vs state-licensed casinos compares the protections.

Frequently asked questions
What is the RTP of the Vegas Lux slot?
Vegas Lux's RTP isn't published in any source we can verify, so we don't give one. RTG games can run at different settings, which makes the casino's own figure the one that matters. Check the game's info screen or ask support in writing before you play. The game is reported as medium volatility. Our page on what RTP is explains how the number affects cost.
How many ways to win does Vegas Lux have?
Vegas Lux has 720 ways to win. The reels show 3, 4, 5, 4 and 3 symbols, and multiplying those gives 3 x 4 x 5 x 4 x 3 = 720. Third-party data also says wins pay both ways, from the left and from the right. More ways don't make the game cheaper, since the RTP sets the long-run cost. Our how to play slots guide explains ways-to-win games.
What is the max win on Vegas Lux?
SlotCatalog lists a maximum of 1,320x the total bet. That's $1,320 on a $1 spin, $330 on a $0.25 spin or $6,600 on a $5 spin. It's a third-party figure and a ceiling rather than a typical result. Compared with many RTG games, the cap is fairly modest, which fits a medium volatility rating. See what slot pays the most for comparison.
Does Vegas Lux have free spins?
Yes. Free spins are listed with wilds and scatters. The data doesn't say how many scatters trigger the round or how many spins it awards, so check the in-game rules. In-game free spins aren't the same as casino free spins from a welcome bonus, which carry wagering and may be limited to named games. Our casino free spins page covers the bonus kind.
Which casinos have Vegas Lux?
Silver Oak names Vegas Lux on its own mobile casino page, the only direct confirmation we have. Other RTG casinos may carry it, so check their lobbies. Silver Oak is offshore and not licensed by any US state, and Michigan's regulator named it in an April 9, 2025, cease-and-desist release. Read our Silver Oak review for its banking and bonus terms.
Is Vegas Lux a progressive jackpot slot?
No progressive jackpot is listed for Vegas Lux; its features are free spins, wilds, scatters and both-ways pays. That matters for bonuses, because SlotoCash and Silver Oak exclude progressive slots from bonus play, and Vegas Lux shouldn't be caught by that rule. Still confirm the eligible games list. If you want a jackpot game, see our best progressive jackpot casinos.
Is Vegas Lux good for small budgets?
It can suit small budgets because medium volatility, as reported, tends to mix in regular smaller wins, and $0.25 spins let $50 cover 200 spins before any wins. The trade-off is a modest top prize of $330 at that stake. The RTP isn't published, so the average cost per session can't be stated. Our penny slots guide covers low-stake play.
Who makes Vegas Lux?
RealTime Gaming made Vegas Lux and released it on May 27, 2020. Casinos may credit it to SpinLogic Gaming, the name RTG has used for US-facing distribution since 2022, according to PokerListings. RTG's games are tested by Technical Systems Testing, according to third-party sources. Our page on whether RTG games are fair explains what that testing covers.
Is Vegas Lux legal in Nevada?
No. Nevada licenses online poker only, and real-money online casino games aren't legal there, so the state's own regulators offer no legal way to play Vegas Lux online. Under NRS 463.750 a license is required to operate interactive gaming, and SB 256, effective October 1, 2025, raised penalties for unlicensed operators and requires them to give up profits. Players in Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas can still play slots at the state's 227 commercial casinos in person. See our Nevada online casinos page and Las Vegas vs online casinos.
Can I play Vegas Lux on my phone?
Yes. Silver Oak names Vegas Lux on its own mobile casino page, which describes browser play on iPhone, Android and tablets without a dedicated app. SlotoCash's support page also says no app or software is required, and a third-party review says Slot Madness runs in Chrome and Safari on phones. The diamond-shaped 3-4-5-4-3 grid shows only 19 symbols, so it's easier to read on a small screen than a 5x5 game. Our Silver Oak mobile casino page and is there a casino app answer explain the setup.
Is Vegas Lux available at Slot Madness?
It may be. A third-party list of reported lobby titles for the Slot Madness, Planet 7 and Royal Ace group includes Vegas Lux, but it doesn't say which of those casinos carries it, so search the Slot Madness lobby before depositing. Third-party reviews describe Slot Madness as running only RealTime Gaming software, which fits. The one direct confirmation we have is Silver Oak's own mobile page, which names the game. Check that Vegas Lux counts toward wagering if you claim a bonus. Our Slot Madness slots page covers its reported library.
How long do Silver Oak withdrawals take after a Vegas Lux win?
Up to about three weeks, going by Silver Oak's own terms, which describe 7 to 10 business days of review and then 7 to 10 business days for payment. Its banking page lists Bitcoin at $50 to $2,500, bank wire and check at $100 to $2,500, and Coindraw at $20 to $2,500 in 0 to 7 days with a 5% fee. Weekly limits start at $2,500, and an 8% fee (minimum $4) applies if a deposit wasn't wagered once. The 1,320x top win on a $1 spin fits one weekly limit. See Silver Oak withdrawals for the full terms.
Do I pay tax on Vegas Lux winnings?
Yes, all gambling winnings are taxable federal income, including smaller Vegas Lux wins. For payments made in 2026, IRS instructions set the Form W-2G threshold for slot winnings at $2,000 or more. Vegas Lux's 1,320x ceiling shows how stake size matters here: a top win is $1,320 at $1, below the threshold but still taxable, and $6,600 at $5, above it. Slots carry no regular withholding. The loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses from 2026; check IRS guidance. See our W-2G form page for the details.
Is Vegas Lux the same as Crazy Vegas?
No, they share a Las Vegas theme but play very differently. Crazy Vegas is a 2012 RTG game with 20 betways, a progressive jackpot, low volatility, a 1,500x listed top win and a reported 94% RTP. Vegas Lux, from 2020, uses a diamond-shaped 720-ways grid that pays both ways, has no progressive, is rated medium volatility and lists 1,320x, with no published RTP. Crazy Vegas's jackpot may also keep it out of some bonuses. Read our Crazy Vegas review for its full specs.
Does Vegas Lux count toward a Slot Madness bonus?
It should, since slot bonuses usually count regular video slots at 100% and Vegas Lux has no progressive jackpot, but check the eligible-games list. Third-party reviews report a 275% match with code MAD275, a $30 minimum and 30x (bonus plus deposit) wagering on slots. On a $100 deposit, that's a $275 bonus and 30 x $375 = $11,250 of wagering, or 45,000 spins at $0.25. Each 1% of house edge costs $112.50 on average across that total. Codes change. See our Slot Madness bonus codes page.
