Is Ignition Casino legit? It is a real, long-running offshore casino that publishes its operator and an Anjouan license, but it is not licensed by any US state, and Mississippi regulators reportedly named it in 2025 cease-and-desist orders. Here is what that means for your money and your legal position as of October 28, 2026.
Ignition's terms name operator Bamboo Media and the Anjouan Gaming Board; no license number is shown.
No US state licenses Ignition, and it excludes Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York.
Mississippi cease-and-desist orders in June 2025 reportedly named Ignition's site.
Legit as a business is not the same as legal where you live: your state's law decides.
Is Ignition Casino legit? The short answer
Ignition is legit in the narrow sense that it is an established business that names its company and its licensing body in writing. That's more than many offshore casinos do. It is not legit in the sense US players often mean, which is licensed and supervised by a state regulator who can step in if something goes wrong.
Three facts shape the answer. Its license comes from Anjouan, a small island authority in the Union of the Comoros. No US state licenses it. And a state regulator, Mississippi's, reportedly ordered it to stop serving residents in 2025. Our full Ignition Casino review covers games, bonuses and banking; this page sticks to trust and the law.
Ignition's terms of use say it is licensed by the Anjouan Gaming Board of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of the Comoros. The terms don't print a license number, which makes the claim harder to verify against a public register.
Several offshore casinos that serve US players cite Anjouan, including our partner Silver Oak. It lets an operator show a license, but it gives a US player little in practice: Anjouan is a foreign authority with no role under any US state's law, and the terms we rely on don't describe a route for a US customer to take a dispute to it. Our Anjouan license explainer and the question page what is an Anjouan license go into the detail.
Compare that with the seven states that license online casinos: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Their regulators publish lists of approved operators, audit games and take complaints. Our states with legal online casinos page lists them.
Who owns Ignition Casino? Bamboo Media and Arachis Media
The terms name Bamboo Media, registration number 11548, at Hamchako, Mutsamudu, Anjouan, as the company behind the site. The same terms also name Arachis Media Ltd as the licensed and regulated entity. Two company names in one document isn't unusual for offshore groups, but it means you should know which one you would be dealing with in a dispute.
Neither company is a US entity, and the governing law of the relationship sits outside the US. If a balance is withheld, your options are the casino's own complaints process and independent complaint sites, not a state regulator. Our guide on how to file a casino complaint explains those routes.
Ignition's launch year and software providers are not stated on the pages we rely on, so we don't quote them.
Ignition Casino regulator actions: Mississippi and Michigan
The clearest regulator signal comes from Mississippi. A bonus.com report on the Mississippi orders (opens in a new tab) says Mississippi Gaming Commission cease-and-desist orders dated June 17, 2025 named ignitioncasino.eu among offshore and sweepstakes operators. The commission's June 2025 public notice itself doesn't list the sites by name, so the Ignition link comes from the press report.
Is Ignition Casino legal in the USA? State law decides
No federal law makes it a crime for an individual to place a bet at an offshore casino. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (opens in a new tab) targets the businesses and payments behind unlawful internet gambling, not the player. Whether online casino play is lawful for you depends on your state's own statutes.
Those statutes vary a lot. Washington makes knowingly transmitting or receiving gambling information over the internet a class C felony. Oklahoma's SB 1589 bans online casino games from November 1, 2026. Many other states simply have broad illegal-gambling laws that don't mention the internet. We can't tell you Ignition is legal where you are, and we won't tell you you'll be prosecuted; read your state's page via the states hub and our page on offshore casino legality.
Ignition itself refuses five states in its terms: Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York. Those terms were last updated January 3, 2024. Opening an account from a restricted state breaks the casino's terms and can lead to a voided balance.

Is Ignition more legit than Bovada, Cafe Casino or Jackpot Capital?
Ignition is often weighed against other long-running offshore brands that US players search for. The table compares what each publishes about itself and what regulators have done, using each casino’s own pages for operator and license, and regulator releases or reports for actions, checked October 28, 2026. Bovada has the longest enforcement record by far, and it responds by refusing more states. Cafe Casino and Ignition share an Anjouan entity name and the same five-state list, and Cafe adds a numbered Curaçao license, which is more than Ignition prints. Jackpot Capital names neither a company nor a license. None holds a US state license, so the differences are about how much you can verify, not about protection. Our Bovada review, is Jackpot Capital legit and the Curaçao license explainer cover each point.
How to check Ignition before you deposit
Any offshore casino can change its terms, license or banking without notice. Run these checks yourself each time you return.
Read your state's online gambling law first; if your state bans it, stop there.
Open Ignition's terms of use and confirm the operator, license and restricted states haven't changed.
Search your state regulator's news releases for Ignition or its company names.
Read the bonus terms, not the banner, and note the playthrough and caps.
Check the withdrawal page for minimums and methods you can actually use.
Start with a small deposit and complete identity checks before you need a payout.
Keep screenshots of terms, deposits and chats in case of a dispute.

Taxes and help if you play at an offshore casino
Winnings from an offshore casino are still taxable federal income. For payments made in 2026, the IRS W-2G reporting threshold for slots is $2,000, though an offshore site may not issue the form, so keep your own records. From tax year 2026, the 2025 tax law reportedly caps the loss deduction at 90% of losses; check IRS guidance. Our gambling taxes page explains more.
If gambling is costing more than you planned, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), by call or text, or use NCPG's chat (opens in a new tab). Blocking tools such as Gamban and BetBlocker can stop access to gambling sites on your devices.

Decode Casino: $5,000 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Reviewers report a weekly withdrawal cap of $2,500 or $5,000, which conflict. Read the Decode review.
Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Silver Oak's own site advertises a different package, a 100% match on each of the first ten deposits, with 30x playthrough on the offer page but 40x in its general terms (60x for blackjack and video poker), deposits from $30 and no max withdrawal on that offer. See the Silver Oak review.

Frequently asked questions
Is Ignition Casino legit or a scam?
Ignition is a real offshore business that names its operator, Bamboo Media, and an Anjouan license in its terms, so it isn't an anonymous site. But no US state licenses it, and Mississippi orders reportedly named it in June 2025. Treat it as an offshore casino with limited protection rather than a scam or a safe bet. Our Ignition Casino review covers the details.
Does Ignition Casino hold a license?
Yes, by an offshore authority. Its terms say it is licensed by the Anjouan Gaming Board in the Union of the Comoros, without giving a license number. It holds no license from any US state, so no state regulator supervises it or handles complaints. Our Anjouan license page explains what that license does and doesn't cover.
Which company is behind Ignition Casino?
Ignition's terms name Bamboo Media, registration number 11548, of Hamchako, Mutsamudu, Anjouan, as the company behind the site. The same terms name Arachis Media Ltd as the licensed and regulated entity. Neither is a US company. For how ownership affects disputes, see how to file a casino complaint.
Is it legal for me to play at Ignition Casino?
It depends on your state's law, not on Ignition. No state licenses Ignition, and federal law (UIGEA) targets payment processing rather than players. Some states, such as Washington, have specific internet gambling offenses; others have broad bans. Ignition itself refuses Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York. Check our is it illegal to play at offshore casinos page.
Has any state taken action against Ignition?
Yes, reportedly Mississippi. A bonus.com report says Mississippi Gaming Commission cease-and-desist orders dated June 17, 2025 named Ignition's site. The commission's own public notice didn't list names, so this rests on the press report. Michigan's releases of August 2025, April 2026 and October 2026 don't list Ignition. See cease-and-desist letters for the wider picture.
How safe is Ignition Casino for US players?
It is safer than an anonymous site, but it isn't state-protected. If Ignition withholds a payout or closes an account, there is no US state regulator to hear your complaint and no state-backed protection of your balance. Use small deposits, finish verification early and keep records. Our page are offshore casinos safe explains the trade-offs.
What states does Ignition not accept?
Ignition's terms list five excluded states: Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York. The terms were last updated on January 3, 2024, so the list may change. Being outside those states doesn't make play lawful, since your state's law decides that. Use our gambling age by state and state pages to check local rules.
Is Ignition more legit than Silver Oak or Decode?
On disclosure, Ignition and Silver Oak both publish an operator and an Anjouan license, while Decode publishes neither. On regulator record, Mississippi reportedly named Ignition and Michigan named Silver Oak; none of the three is licensed by a US state. Compare them in Decode vs Ignition or Silver Oak vs Ignition.
Does Ignition Casino pay out?
Ignition publishes enough to plan a payout, which counts in its favor, but we can’t verify individual payouts. Its withdrawal-limits page sets minimums of $10 for Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Lightning, vouchers and MatchPay, $50 for Ethereum and Tether, and $100 for Bitcoin. Crypto payouts in 1 to 2 hours and card payouts in 1 to 2 days are claimed only in a table on its bonus page. With no US state regulator, a stuck payout depends on Ignition’s own process. Our Ignition withdrawals page and do offshore casinos pay out explain more.
Is Ignition Casino connected to Cafe Casino?
Their published details overlap, though our sources don’t confirm common ownership. Ignition’s terms name Arachis Media Ltd as the licensed entity, and Cafe Casino’s welcome page names Arachis Media (No. 11547) in Anjouan alongside Arbol Media B.V. of Curaçao. Both list the same five excluded states: Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York. Cafe Casino also cites a Curaçao license, OGL/2024/670/0711, and no action naming it was found. Read our Cafe Casino review and is Bovada legit for related brands.
Can I play Ignition Casino in Washington?
Washington isn’t on Ignition’s excluded list, but state law is unusually strict. RCW 9.46.240 makes knowingly transmitting or receiving gambling information over the internet a class C felony, with an exception only for activity authorized under the state’s gambling chapter. No Washington license covers Ignition, so its availability there doesn’t make play lawful. Players in Seattle, Spokane or Tacoma who want help can call the state’s problem gambling helpline at 800-547-6133. Our Washington gambling laws page and can I play online casinos in Washington explain the statute.
Is there an official Ignition Casino app?
No Ignition mobile app appears in our sources, so treat any app claiming to be Ignition with caution. Offshore real-money casinos are rarely listed in US app stores, and fake apps and unofficial mirror sites are a known way to harvest logins and deposits. Type the address yourself, bookmark it, and check that the terms on the site name Bamboo Media and the Anjouan Gaming Board as described here. Our pages on why there’s no casino app in the App Store and casino mirror sites explain the risk.
Is Ignition poker legal in the US?
State law decides, just as it does for Ignition’s casino games. No state licenses Ignition’s poker room, so it has no state oversight anywhere in the US. Federal law, including UIGEA, targets payment processing rather than individual players, but some states have broad bans that cover online card games for money. Ignition’s welcome bonus can be used for poker, released at $1 per 30 Ignition Miles within 30 days. Our pages on is online poker legal in the US and online poker laws set out the state picture.
What happens if Ignition closes my account?
Your options are limited to Ignition’s own complaints process, because no US state regulator oversees it and its terms place the relationship outside the US. A closure linked to a restricted state, duplicate accounts or a bonus breach can lead to a voided balance under typical offshore terms. Keep screenshots of your balance, terms and chats, ask in writing for the reason and the clause relied on, and request any deposit balance owed. Our pages on what happens if a casino closes and can I get my money back from a casino cover next steps.
