Why no casino app in App Store searches usually lead to the same answer: Apple and Google only list real-money gambling apps from operators licensed where the app is used. Offshore casinos aren't licensed by any US state, so they stay off the stores and run in your browser. Here's how the store rules work, what you'll find instead and what to avoid.
Apple's and Google's published rules require real-money gambling apps to be licensed in the places they're used.
Only seven states license online casinos, so store casino apps are limited to those states.
Offshore casinos, including our partners, aren't licensed by any US state and use browser play instead.
Changing your store region or hiding your location to get an app breaks store rules and casino terms.
Casino-themed apps in the store are often social or sweepstakes games, not real-money casinos.

Why no casino app in the App Store? The short answer
App stores treat real-money gambling as a licensed activity. Apple and Google accept these apps only from operators holding the gambling license and permissions for each place the app is used, and they expect the app to be limited to those places. A casino without a license from your state can't meet that bar.
That's why a search for your favorite offshore brand turns up nothing official. It isn't a glitch or a temporary removal. If you have other questions on this, the questions hub collects them, and is there a casino app covers what does exist.
What Apple and Google require from real money casino apps
Both stores publish rules for gambling apps. In plain terms, here is what they ask of a real-money casino app.
Store rules for real-money gambling apps, summarized
Requirement
Apple App Store
Google Play
Gambling license
Necessary licensing and permissions where the app is used
License for each country or state where it's offered
Location limits
App must be geo-restricted to licensed locations
Available only in approved locations
Approval
Standard app review
Separate application for gambling apps
Buying chips
Real-money play can't run through in-app purchase
Payments handled by the licensed operator
This is our summary of the stores' published policies. Both companies can change their rules, so check their developer guidelines for the current wording.
Why some states do have casino apps in the App Store
Seven states license online casinos: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Operators licensed there can meet the store rules, so their apps appear for players in those states and are locked to players physically inside the state line.

Offshore casinos aren't licensed or regulated by any US state, and most don't even publish a license on their own sites. That leaves nothing an app store could accept for US users. The table shows how unsettled the license picture is for three partners.

What third parties report
SlotoCash

Curaçao, no number given; another source cites the Netherlands Antilles
Slot Madness

Anjouan, Costa Rica or no license, depending on the reviewer
Royal Ace
Not found
Costa Rica or no license, depending on the reviewer
None of these would satisfy a store's local-license rule for US users, and the conflicts are a reason to read the terms carefully. Our explainers on the Curaçao license and the Costa Rica casino license explain what those labels mean.
What offshore casinos offer instead of an app
The usual answer is browser play, also called instant play. SlotoCash's support page (opens in a new tab) says there is currently no app or software required and suggests adding a home-screen shortcut. Third-party reviews describe Slot Madness as having no app, with browser play on Android and iPhone in Chrome and Safari.
AskGamblers lists Royal Ace under instant play, mobile and download types, with no store app named. For how browser play compares with installed software, see instant play vs download and what is instant play.
Casino apps in the App Store that aren't real-money casinos
Search the store for 'casino' and you'll still see plenty of results. Most fall into two groups, and neither is a real-money casino in the usual sense.
Social casino apps, where coins have no cash value and can't be withdrawn. Our page on what a social casino is explains them.
Sweepstakes apps using Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Reviewers report store apps for brands such as Chumba Lite and McLuck, and several states have banned the model.
Apps that borrow an offshore brand's name. If the casino's own site doesn't link to it, don't install it.
Some players try to switch their store country or mask their location to reach an app listed elsewhere. That breaks the store's rules, usually breaks the casino's terms, and can lead to an account being closed with winnings withheld at verification. It doesn't change what your state's law says either.
Store policy and the law are separate questions. State law decides whether online casino play is lawful for you, while federal UIGEA targets payment processing for unlawful internet gambling rather than making a bet a federal crime for the player. See offshore vs state-licensed casinos for the protections each side gives you.
Michigan's regulator has named several partners in cease-and-desist actions: Silver Oak and Planet 7 on April 9, 2025, Miami Club and Slot Madness on August 14, 2025, and SlotoCash on October 8, 2026. Those three releases don't name Royal Ace. Miami Club, a WGS-software partner, is a separate case on eligibility: its published Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, but the site owner's affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm eligibility at sign-up.

Frequently asked questions
Why can't I find my online casino in the App Store?
Because it probably isn't licensed where you live. Apple only accepts real-money gambling apps from operators holding the right license for each location where the app is used, and offshore casinos aren't licensed by any US state. Most offshore casinos run in your phone's browser instead. Our mobile casino guide explains how browser play works and how to set it up safely.
Are there any real money casino apps on the App Store in the USA?
Yes, in the seven states that license online casinos: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Licensed operators there can list apps that only work for players physically inside the state. Elsewhere in the US no such apps are licensed. Check the states with legal online casinos page for official operator counts.
Why is there no casino app on Google Play for my state?
Google Play also requires a gambling license for each place a real-money app is offered, plus a separate approval. If your state doesn't license online casinos, no licensed operator can list a casino app there. Android users can still open browser casinos in Chrome. Our guide to playing on Android covers browser setup, shortcuts and account security.
Do SlotoCash, Slot Madness or Royal Ace have apps?
No store app is listed for any of them. SlotoCash's own support page says no app or software is required, and third-party reviews describe Slot Madness as browser-only on Android and iPhone. Royal Ace is listed with instant play, mobile and download types but no store app. See the SlotoCash review for its full terms, banking and the Michigan action naming it.
Can I change my App Store country to download a casino app?
You shouldn't. Switching store regions or masking your location to reach a gambling app breaks store rules and usually the casino's terms, and casinos check identity and location at withdrawal. That can mean a closed account and withheld winnings. Our page on why casinos ask for documents explains how those checks work and why accurate details matter.
Are casino apps in the App Store real money?
Many aren't. Outside the seven licensing states, most casino-style store apps are social casinos with coins of no cash value, or sweepstakes brands using Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Sweepstakes apps say they aren't real-money casinos, and several states have banned that model. Our guide to sweepstakes vs real money casinos compares the two clearly.
Is it safe to install a casino app from outside the App Store?
It's risky unless the casino's own site links to the file. Our partners don't publish phone apps, so a download claiming to be one may come from an unofficial mirror site. Installing it could expose your device and login details. Open the casino from its known address instead, and read our casino mirror sites guide to spot copies.
Does a missing App Store app mean a casino is illegal?
Not on its own, but it does tell you the casino isn't licensed where you are. State law decides whether online casino play is lawful for you, and several states, Michigan included, have issued cease-and-desist letters to offshore operators. Read is it illegal to play at offshore casinos for what the law says and how states differ.
How do I put an online casino on my home screen without an App Store app?
Open the casino in your phone’s browser and use the browser’s add-to-home-screen option, which saves a shortcut icon that opens the site directly. SlotoCash’s own support page suggests exactly this, since it says no app or software is required. The shortcut is just a bookmark, so it gets the same games and cashier as the browser site. Make sure you save the casino’s real address, not a copy. Our guides to playing on iPhone and mobile casinos cover the setup in more detail.
Do any offshore casinos offer a download casino app for PC instead?
Some do, for Windows computers rather than phones. Silver Oak’s site lists a downloadable PC client alongside instant play and its browser mobile casino, with no dedicated phone app. Third-party reviews say a download client also exists for Planet 7, and AskGamblers lists download among Royal Ace’s platform types. These clients come from the casino’s own site, never from the App Store or Google Play. Our page on what a download casino is explains how they differ from browser play.
Is a casino website as safe as an App Store app?
It can be, but no store review sits between you and the site, so the checks fall to you. The main risk is an unofficial mirror site copying a casino’s look to collect logins. Type the address the casino’s own terms use, bookmark it, use a unique password and turn on two-factor login if offered. A browser casino doesn’t change the legal picture either: offshore casinos aren’t licensed by any US state. Our guide to two-factor authentication shows how to protect your account.
Does Miami Club Casino have an app in the App Store?
No, Miami Club has no App Store or Google Play app on record. Its own site says it is available for mobile devices and desktop and mentions no app, although one third-party listing marks an app as available, which conflicts with the casino. Miami Club runs WGS software in the browser. Its Terms of Use v2.1, section 1.6, list the United States as prohibited, while the site owner’s affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm at sign-up. Our Miami Club mobile page covers phone play.
Can I play Decode Casino on my phone without an app?
Yes, Decode runs as an instant-play site in your phone’s browser, and its site meta and third-party reviews both say there is no app. That fits the store rules, since Decode isn’t licensed by any US state. Third-party reports also say Decode refuses players from Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington, whatever device you use. Check your state’s law before you sign up. Our Decode mobile page explains what works on a phone and what to watch for.
Are sweepstakes casino apps in the App Store legal in California?
No, not as a sweepstakes casino: California’s AB 831 bans the dual-currency model from January 1, 2026, as third-party sources report. An app using Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins may still appear in the store, but a store listing doesn’t override the state ban. Social casino apps whose coins have no cash value are a different product. California also licenses no real-money online casinos. Our California sweepstakes casinos page and our sweepstakes casino bans list explain the law.
Can I use a New Jersey casino app if I travel to New York?
No, a state-licensed casino app works only while you are physically inside the state that licenses it. New Jersey’s licensed apps check your location and lock out play once you cross into New York, which licenses no online casinos. Offshore browser casinos don’t carry that state license at all. Our guide to traveling and online casinos and our New Jersey mobile casinos page explain the rules.
