Mobile casinos in Connecticut come in two kinds: the state-licensed DraftKings and FanDuel casinos, open to players 21 and over, and offshore casinos that run in your phone's browser with no Connecticut license. This page explains which is which, why offshore sites publish no app, how to set up browser play safely, and the limits that keep phone gambling in check.
Only DraftKings and FanDuel are licensed by Connecticut for online casino play, on phones or anywhere else.
Our offshore partners publish no mobile app; they run in iPhone and Android browsers, sometimes with a desktop download.
An app store listing using an offshore casino's name isn't one the casino publishes, so treat it with suspicion.
Identity checks, banking and limits all work from a phone, but offshore sites give you no Connecticut regulator to complain to.
Blocking apps such as Gamban cost $6.99 a month or $41.99 a year.

Are mobile casinos legal in Connecticut?
Yes, if the mobile casino is licensed by the state. Connecticut's Department of Consumer Protection lists two online casino licensees on its Legal Gaming page (opens in a new tab): DraftKings, partnered with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe, and FanDuel, partnered with the Mohegan Tribe. Both were authorized under Public Act 21-23, signed in May 2021, and both require players to be 21.
A phone doesn't change the law. A casino you open on an iPhone in New Haven is under the same rules as one on a laptop in Stamford. Any real money casino not on the DCP list is offshore and unlicensed by Connecticut. Our Connecticut hub and Connecticut gambling laws page cover the statutes.

How offshore mobile casinos run on iPhone and Android
Silver Oak's mobile casino page (opens in a new tab) says it runs as instant play in the browser on iPhone, Android and tablets, with a downloadable Windows client for PCs and no dedicated mobile app listed. It names RTG titles including Magic Mushroom, 777, T-Rex II and Storm Lords, and says more than 200 other games run on mobile.

Why there's no offshore casino app in the App Store
None of the offshore partners publishes an app, so an app carrying their name in an app store isn't one the casino says it offers. Treat any such listing, and any lookalike website, with suspicion; copycat sites are known as unofficial mirror sites and can capture logins and deposits.
Browser play has a practical upside: nothing to install and no app permissions to grant. The downside is that it's easy to land on the wrong address from a search ad or text message. Our pages on why there's no casino app in the App Store and casino mirror sites cover the risks.
Setting up a mobile casino shortcut safely
SlotoCash's support page suggests adding a home-screen shortcut instead of an app. That approach works for any browser casino, as long as the shortcut points to the right address.
Type the casino's address yourself, or use the link in our review, rather than tapping an ad or text.
Check the address bar spelling and the padlock before signing in.
Bookmark the page, then use your browser's share menu to add it to your home screen.
Turn on a device passcode or biometric lock so no one else can open the shortcut.
Use a unique password and save it in a password manager.
Set a deposit limit with the casino's support before your first deposit.
Delete the shortcut if you decide to take a break.
Offshore casinos still ask for documents before paying out, and most players upload them from a phone camera. At Silver Oak, the terms list a government photo ID, the front and back of cards used in the last three months, a selfie holding your ID and a utility bill from the last three months. Withdrawals stay blocked until checks are done.
Third-party reviews report that Planet 7 asks for ID, proof of address and a selfie with ID, sent by email, with checks taking zero to three days. Uploading early avoids a stalled first withdrawal. Our account verification guide lists what usually gets rejected.
Mobile casino banking: cards, crypto and fees
Phone banking at offshore casinos looks much like desktop banking. Silver Oak lists Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum deposits at no fee, and card deposits from $30 to $1,000 with fees of 3% to 10%. Its Bitcoin withdrawals run $50 to $2,500 with fees of $0 to $40 and a stated 7 to 10 days. Reviewers report a $5 Bitcoin Lightning minimum and a $2,500 weekly cap at Planet 7.
Crypto wallet apps make phone deposits quick, which cuts both ways: quick deposits are also easy to repeat. Our Connecticut crypto casinos page covers fees and price swings, and card declines explains why card deposits fail.
Your location and mobile casino play
Where you are when you play matters more than where you live. Federal UIGEA rules exclude intrastate wagers authorized by state law when the operator verifies age and location, which is why licensed apps check that you're inside Connecticut. Crossing into New York or Massachusetts puts you under that state's law instead.
Offshore casinos don't run state geolocation checks, but that doesn't make play legal where you are. Don't try to get around a casino's restrictions with a VPN or a false address; it breaks the terms and can void winnings. Our VPN and online casinos guide explains why, and the Connecticut real money casinos page compares the legal routes.
What happens if a mobile casino won't pay
With a licensed Connecticut casino, the DCP Gaming Division is the regulator. With an offshore casino, your only route is the casino's own process. At Silver Oak, disputes must be raised within three days of the wager and the casino allows up to 28 days for a reply, with a central dispute system run by its software provider.
A casino in your pocket is available at 2 a.m., on a lunch break and on the couch. That convenience is the main risk. Silver Oak's terms list deposit limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion through live chat; AskGamblers lists none of the usual tools at Planet 7, so you'd need to ask support.
Device-level blocking works across every casino. Gamban's pricing page (opens in a new tab) lists $6.99 a month or $41.99 a year, with a seven-day free trial and apps for iPhone and Android. Free help is at the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling, 888-789-7777, and the National Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), by call or text. See blocking software for more tools.
Offshore mobile casinos with an offer via our links
Both casinos below run in a phone browser with no download, which is why they fit this page. They are offshore and not licensed by Connecticut or any US state, so there's no state regulator, no state protection of balances and the casino sets the terms. Connecticut's licensed mobile casinos are the regulated choice; check the law before you sign up. We earn commission through these links, and the order is commercial.
Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). The casino's own site advertises a different package of up to $10,000 across ten deposits, with 30x wagering on the offer page versus 40x in its terms (60x on blackjack and video poker), deposits from $30 and no max withdrawal (primary). Read the Silver Oak review.
Planet 7 Casino: $2,750 Welcome Bonus + 45 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Third-party reviews report 30x deposit-plus-bonus wagering on slots, a $1,000 max cashout and a $30 card minimum, plus a $2,500 weekly withdrawal cap. See the Planet 7 review.
Free spins are slot-only and carry wagering; table games are often excluded or weighted lower. The terms shown at sign-up apply.

Frequently asked questions
Can I play casino games on my phone legally in Connecticut?
Yes, through the two state-licensed operators. DraftKings and FanDuel hold Connecticut online casino licenses, and you must be 21 and in the state. Offshore mobile casinos also accept Connecticut players but hold no Connecticut license, so the DCP can't help with a dispute. Our page on whether you can play on your phone covers the general picture, and the Connecticut hub covers state law.
Is there a Silver Oak Casino app?
Silver Oak doesn't list one. Its mobile casino page describes browser instant play on iPhone, Android and tablets, plus a downloadable Windows client for computers. Any app in a store using the Silver Oak name isn't one the casino says it publishes, so be wary of it. Our Silver Oak mobile page explains how to reach the real site and what runs on a small screen.
Do offshore mobile casinos work on iPhone?
Yes, in the Safari or Chrome browser. Silver Oak says its site runs on iPhone, and third-party reviews report browser play on iOS at Planet 7 and Slot Madness. You can add a home-screen shortcut so it opens like an app. Make sure the address is the casino's real one, not a copycat. Our best iPhone casinos page compares partner sites on mobile.
Is a casino app safer than browser play in Connecticut?
Not by itself. Safety comes from who regulates the casino, not the format. A Connecticut-licensed operator answers to the DCP whether you use its app or website, while an offshore casino has no state regulator either way. Browser play needs no install, but you must check the address carefully. Our casino account security guide covers passwords, device locks and phishing.
Can I verify an offshore casino account from my phone in Connecticut?
Yes. Most players photograph documents with their phone and upload or email them. Silver Oak's terms ask for photo ID, card images, a selfie with ID and a recent utility bill, and withdrawals stay blocked until checks are complete. Reviewers say Planet 7 takes zero to three days to check documents. See our KYC documents page for tips on clear, accepted images.
Do mobile casinos in Connecticut have different bonuses?
The partner offers through our links are the same on a phone and a computer, and the terms shown at sign-up apply on both. Some casinos run separate mobile promotions, but we don't list any that aren't in a published source. Bonus terms, wagering and caps don't change because you're on a phone. Our mobile bonus page explains what to check in a phone-specific offer.
Does playing on my phone in Connecticut change the law?
No. Connecticut law applies wherever you play inside the state, on any device. Licensed apps check you're in Connecticut because federal UIGEA exclusions require location and age verification for intrastate wagers. If you cross into another state, that state's law applies instead. Our Connecticut gambling laws page explains the statutes, including Conn. Gen. Stat. 53-278b.
How do I block casino sites on my phone in Connecticut?
Install blocking software that covers every gambling site and app on the device. Gamban costs $6.99 a month or $41.99 a year, with a seven-day free trial, and works on iPhone and Android. Ask each casino to close or self-exclude your account as well. Our Gamban page walks through setup, and 1-800-MY-RESET offers free, confidential support.
Is there a Planet 7 Casino app for Connecticut players?
No, third-party reviews report that Planet 7 has no mobile app. Its games run as instant play in the browser on Android and iOS, and reviewers also report a download client for computers. That means any app store listing using the Planet 7 name isn't one the casino is reported to publish, so treat it with suspicion. Planet 7 isn't licensed by Connecticut, and the Michigan Gaming Control Board named it in an April 2025 cease-and-desist release. Our Planet 7 mobile page explains browser setup, and is there a casino app covers the wider question.
Can I play offshore mobile casinos on Android in Connecticut?
Yes, offshore partner casinos run in Chrome or another Android browser, with no download needed. Silver Oak's own mobile page lists Android support, and third-party reviews report Android browser play at Planet 7 and Slot Madness. None of these sites holds a Connecticut license, so the DCP can't help with a dispute, and the state's licensed mobile options remain DraftKings and FanDuel. Avoid installing casino files from outside the Play Store, because none of the partners publishes one. Our playing on Android guide and best Android casinos page give more detail.
Can I play live dealer games on my phone at offshore casinos in Connecticut?
Not at most of our partners: third-party reviews report no live dealer tables at Silver Oak, Planet 7 or Royal Ace. Their mobile lobbies focus on RealTime Gaming slots and computer-dealt table games, such as the Magic Mushroom, 777, T-Rex II and Storm Lords titles Silver Oak names on its mobile page. Game lineups can differ between phone and desktop, so check the lobby on your phone before you deposit for a particular game. Read do RTG casinos have live dealer and our live dealer guide for the background.
What is the minimum deposit at Silver Oak on a phone in Connecticut?
Silver Oak's banking page sets a $30 minimum for card deposits, with a $1,000 maximum and fees of 3% to 10%, and lists Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum deposits with no casino fee. The limits are the same on a phone as on a computer, because the mobile site uses the same cashier. A $100 card deposit at a 10% fee would cost $10 before you play. Card deposits often fail at US banks, which is why many phone users choose crypto. Silver Oak isn't licensed by Connecticut. See Silver Oak banking and casino minimum deposits.
Can I play an offshore mobile casino through a VPN in Connecticut?
You shouldn't, because hiding your location breaks offshore casinos' terms and can lead to voided winnings or a closed account. A VPN also doesn't change which state's law applies to you: Connecticut law covers play anywhere inside the state, on any device. Licensed apps such as DraftKings and FanDuel check your location because federal UIGEA exclusions for intrastate wagers require it. If a casino doesn't accept players where you are, the right answer is not to play there. Our VPN and online casinos guide and the VPN question explain the risks.
What should I do if I lose a phone with a Connecticut casino account on it?
Change the casino password from another device straight away, then ask the casino's support to lock the account until you're back in control. If the phone held a crypto wallet app, secure that wallet too, because crypto transfers generally can't be reversed. A device passcode or biometric lock, set up in advance, is what stops someone opening a home-screen shortcut. Turn on two-factor sign-in wherever the casino or wallet offers it. Our two-factor authentication guide and casino account security page list the settings to check.
