Online Super 21 is a RealTime Gaming blackjack variant that third-party reviewers list with six decks and a 99.6% return to player, which works out to a 0.4% house edge. Here is what that figure means in dollars, which rules to confirm before you bet, and how offshore casino bonuses treat the game.
Super 21 is an RTG blackjack variant; PokerListings lists six decks and a 99.6% RTP.
A 0.4% edge means an expected cost of about $4 for every $1,000 you bet, before swings.
RTG's full rule card isn't published in the sources we checked, so read the in-game help first.
Most offshore welcome bonuses exclude blackjack or make it count at heavier wagering.
The casinos that carry RTG games are offshore and not licensed by any US state.

What is online Super 21?
Super 21 is one of the blackjack games in the RealTime Gaming (RTG) catalog. The studio's games also appear under the SpinLogic Gaming brand, which RTG adopted in 2022 for its US-facing operations, according to PokerListings. You find it in the table games section of RTG-powered casinos, next to standard online blackjack and the other 21 variants in our online casino games hub.
Very little about the game is published by independent sources. PokerListings' RTG page (opens in a new tab) gives two details: Super 21 uses six decks and returns 99.6% to the player. The release year, volatility and maximum payout are not published in any source we could verify.
That gap matters. Blackjack variants usually trade one rule for another, and the only reliable place to read RTG's exact version is the help or rules screen inside the game. Treat everything on this page beyond the deck count and RTP as general blackjack guidance, not as a description of RTG's code.
Super 21 rules: the blackjack core you already know
Whatever RTG changed, Super 21 keeps the basic shape of blackjack. You and the dealer each get cards, you decide whether to take more, and the hand closest to 21 without going over wins. A two-card 21 is a blackjack, and going over 21 is a bust that loses at once, even if the dealer busts later.

Your standard decisions are to hit, stand, double down or split a pair. Some games also offer surrender or insurance. Whether Super 21 allows each of these, and on which hands, is exactly what the rules screen should tell you.
What to check on the Super 21 rules screen
Small rule changes move the house edge more than most players expect. Before you stake real money, open the game's help screen and note the answer to each line below. If a rule isn't listed, ask the casino's support team and keep the reply.

PokerListings lists six for Super 21
The 99.6% figure from PokerListings already reflects RTG's rule set, whatever it is. You don't need to calculate the edge yourself. You need the rules so you can make the right decision on each hand, because a published blackjack RTP normally assumes the best possible play.
Super 21 RTP and house edge in dollars
A 99.6% RTP means the game is designed to pay back $99.60 of every $100 wagered over a very large number of hands. The other 0.4% is the house edge. The simple formula is expected loss = total amount bet × house edge, and total amount bet means every chip you put out, not just your deposit.

Those numbers are averages. In a single session you can easily lose $100 at $10 a hand or finish ahead, because blackjack outcomes swing from hand to hand. The edge only shows itself reliably over thousands of hands, and it never turns in your favor.
Mistakes raise the cost. If you stand on hands the strategy says to hit, or skip doubles you should take, your real edge climbs above 0.4%. Our house edge explained guide shows how small errors add up, and what is the house edge on blackjack compares common rule sets.
How to play Super 21 online, step by step
Decide your budget for the session before you open the casino, and set a deposit limit in the cashier if one is offered.
Open the table games section of an RTG casino and look for Super 21. Lobbies change, so if it isn't listed, ask support rather than assuming.
Try the game in play-money demo mode if the casino offers one, so you can learn the controls without spending anything.
Open the help or rules screen and fill in the checklist above: blackjack payout, soft 17, doubling, splitting, surrender and any bonus pays.
Choose a chip size that lets your budget last for the session you planned; our bankroll management guide shows how to size bets against a budget.
Play each hand by a strategy chart that matches the rules you found, and stop when you reach your time or loss limit.
Demo mode uses play money and can't be cashed out. Real-money play only starts once you deposit, and every hand then costs the house edge on average.
Super 21 strategy: basic strategy yes, card counting no
Basic strategy is the mathematically best decision for every total against every dealer upcard. Using it reduces the house edge to the lowest level the rules allow, and it's the reason a blackjack RTP like 99.6% is possible at all. It doesn't remove the edge or make winning likely.
The catch with a variant is that a standard chart may not fit. If Super 21 changes payouts or doubling rules, some borderline decisions change too. Use our blackjack basic strategy guide as a starting point and adjust only where the game's own rules differ.
Card counting is a different story. It worked historically in land casinos because used cards stayed out of play until the shoe was reshuffled. Online RNG blackjack reshuffles every hand, so there's nothing to track. Our page on counting cards online covers the theory and why it doesn't apply.
Super 21 vs other RTG blackjack games
RTG runs several 21 games. Published RTPs differ between sources and some aren't published at all, so the table shows only what third-party catalogs list.
On the published numbers, Super 21 sits at the top of RTG's blackjack range. The range for Blackjack + Perfect Pairs shows why side bets matter: the low end of that range reflects the side bet, which carries a much bigger edge than the main game.
Can you clear a casino bonus on Super 21?
Usually not efficiently, and sometimes not at all. Offshore welcome offers are built for slots. Table games are often excluded or count at heavier wagering, and playing an excluded game can void bonus winnings. Read our game weighting explainer before you combine a bonus with blackjack.
Silver Oak's own terms show how this works. Its new member page lists 30x wagering and 60x for blackjack and video poker, while its general terms say 40x for slots and 60x for table games and video poker, a conflict worth raising with support. Here is a worked example using a hypothetical $100 bonus and treating the wagering as a simple multiple of the bonus; always check what the casino's terms say the multiple applies to.
Worked example: wagering a $100 bonus on Super 21

$3,000

The expected cost looks small because the edge is small, but 600 hands is a long time to keep a balance alive, and swings can wipe it out before you finish. Max bet rules and expiry dates also apply. Our table games bonus guide and wagering requirements explained go through the traps.
Is online Super 21 legal in the US?
It depends on your state. Real-money online casinos are licensed only in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Maine legalized tribal online casinos in January 2026, but nothing had launched by October 2026 and a lawsuit is pending. Elsewhere, no state licenses online casinos; see states with legal online casinos.
RTG games aren't offered by state-licensed casinos in those markets, so Super 21 is found at offshore sites. Those casinos are licensed outside the US, if at all, and not by any US state. That means no state regulator to complain to and no state protection for your balance. Federally, UIGEA targets payment processing for unlawful internet gambling (opens in a new tab) rather than making a bet a federal crime for the player, and state law decides the rest. Our offshore casinos legality guide explains the picture state by state.
Winnings are taxable federal income whether or not a casino issues a form. The gambling taxes guide covers reporting and the loss deduction.

LCB reports code DECODE111 at 111% up to $1,111 with 25x (bonus + deposit) wagering and a $25 minimum deposit, and VegasSlotsOnline reports a 500% match with 50 spins at 30x. No source says how blackjack counts. Third-party reviews also report that Decode refuses players from Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
Silver Oak publishes its terms: a $10,000 package of 100% matches across ten deposits on its own site, which differs from the offer via our link, with 30x or 40x wagering (the pages conflict), 60x on blackjack, no max withdrawal on the welcome bonus and $30 minimum deposits. The Michigan Gaming Control Board named Silver Oak and Planet 7 in cease-and-desist letters on April 9, 2025 (opens in a new tab), calling them illegal offshore operators.
For Planet 7, LCB reports code WELCOME200 at 200% with 30x (bonus + deposit) wagering on slots and a $1,000 max cashout; these are third-party reports. Frequently asked questions
What is online Super 21?
It's a blackjack variant from RealTime Gaming found at RTG-powered online casinos. PokerListings lists it with six decks and a 99.6% return to player. RTG's exact rule set isn't published in the independent sources available, so the in-game help screen is the place to confirm payouts, doubling and splitting rules. If you know standard blackjack, our how to play blackjack guide covers the core you'll need before trying the variant.
What is the RTP of Super 21?
PokerListings lists Super 21 at a 99.6% RTP, which equals a 0.4% house edge. That's a third-party figure, and it normally assumes you make the best decision on every hand. Mistakes lower your real return. On $2,000 of total bets, a 0.4% edge means an expected loss of $8, though any single session can land well above or below that. Our RTP guide explains how these averages work.
How many decks does Super 21 use?
Super 21 uses six decks, according to PokerListings' RTG page. No other rule details are given there, so check the game's help screen for the blackjack payout, the dealer's rule on soft 17, doubling and splitting. Because online RNG blackjack reshuffles every hand, the deck count doesn't open any counting opportunity. See can you count cards online for why tracking cards doesn't work in digital games.
Is Super 21 better than regular blackjack?
On published RTPs, it ranks among the best-returning blackjack games in RTG's range, but a direct comparison isn't possible. PokerListings lists 99.6% for Super 21, while no RTP is published for RTG's standard Blackjack. Variants also change rules, so the better game is the one whose rules you understand and can play correctly. Compare the details on our online blackjack page before you choose.
Can I use basic strategy in Super 21?
Yes, basic strategy is the right starting point, but check it against Super 21's rules first. A standard chart assumes standard rules, and if RTG's variant changes payouts or doubling options, some borderline decisions change too. Basic strategy lowers the house edge to the minimum the rules allow; it doesn't remove it. Our blackjack basic strategy guide explains how charts are built and when to adjust them.
Does Super 21 count toward bonus wagering?
Often it doesn't, or it counts at a heavier rate. SlotoCash's welcome terms limit play to slots, keno and scratch cards and say other games void promotion winnings. Silver Oak's terms list 60x wagering for table games and video poker. Third-party reviews report Royal Ace at 60x for blackjack. Read the terms shown at sign-up, and see our game weighting explainer for the math.
Where can I play Super 21 for real money in the US?
Because it's an RTG game, you'll find it only at offshore casinos that run RTG software, not at the state-licensed casinos in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and the other licensing states. Those offshore sites aren't licensed by any US state, so check your state's law first. Lobbies change, so confirm the game is listed before depositing. Our best blackjack casinos list covers the partners we rank.
Can I play Super 21 in demo mode?
Many RTG casinos offer a play-money demo mode for table games, but availability varies by casino and isn't confirmed for Super 21 in the sources we checked. Demo play is the best way to learn the rules screen and controls without spending money, and demo balances can't be cashed out. Our demo mode guide explains how play-money versions work and what they can and can't tell you.
Is Super 21 the same as Spanish 21?
Not as far as any source shows: no independent source says RTG's Super 21 follows Spanish 21 rules. The only published details are six decks and a 99.6% RTP from PokerListings. Spanish 21-style games are usually played with 48-card decks that have the 10s removed and add bonus pays to make up for it, and nothing published says Super 21 strips cards. Open the help screen to see the real rules before you assume either way. For Spanish-style rules on this site, see our Match Play 21 page and pontoon page, which covers the Australian version.
How much does Super 21 cost at $25 a hand?
About $20 per 200 hands at $25, using the 99.6% RTP that PokerListings lists. That's $5,000 wagered × 0.4% house edge, and it assumes the best decision on every hand. At $100 a hand for 100 hands the average cost is about $40. Single sessions swing far more than these averages: losing several hundred dollars in a session at $25 a hand is entirely possible, as is finishing ahead. Size your bets so a cold run doesn't end the session early. Our high roller guide and gambling budget guide cover bet sizing.
Which RTG blackjack game has the best RTP?
On published third-party figures, Super 21 is at the top, with PokerListings listing 99.6%. Suit 'Em Up Blackjack follows closely at 99.51% per SlotCatalog, while Blackjack + Perfect Pairs is listed between 95.9% and 99.59%, with the low end reflecting its side bet. RTP figures aren't published for RTG's standard Blackjack, Caribbean 21 or Face Up 21, so they can't be ranked. Small rule differences and your own decisions matter as much as the listed figure. Compare our Suit 'Em Up Blackjack page and Face Up 21 page.
Can I play Super 21 on my phone?
Probably, because RTG casinos run in a mobile browser, but no source confirms Super 21 in a specific mobile lobby. Silver Oak's own mobile page describes browser play on iPhone, Android and tablets, plus a Windows download for desktop. Decode's site describes instant play on mobile with no app, and third-party reviews say the same of Planet 7. Look in the table games section on your phone, and read the rules screen there before you bet, since small screens make it easy to miss details. See our Decode mobile page and best iPhone casinos list.
Is online Super 21 legal in Rhode Island?
Rhode Island has legal online casinos, but only through one state-run platform, so offshore RTG games like Super 21 aren't part of it. Under SB 948 (2023), the Rhode Island Lottery runs online casino play with Bally's as the sole operator, launched on March 5, 2024, per third-party reports, with a minimum age of 21. Offshore casinos aren't licensed by Rhode Island or any other state, so players in Providence, Cranston and Warwick get no state protection there. The state helpline is 1-877-GAMBLE. See our Rhode Island online casinos guide and Rhode Island gambling laws page.
Is RTG Super 21 rigged?
No published evidence suggests it is, though no game-specific fairness certificate is published for Super 21 either. Third-party sources LCB and GamblingNews report that RealTime Gaming's games are tested by Technical Systems Testing, and each hand is dealt by an RNG that reshuffles every round. What's missing is oversight: offshore casinos have no US state regulator checking which version they run. A fair game still has a 0.4% house edge built in, per the listed RTP. Read are RTG games fair and our RNG explainer for what testing covers.
