Online Double Double Bonus Poker is video poker where the fifth card, the kicker, can multiply a four of a kind: four aces with a 2, 3 or 4 pays 400 per coin. The common 9/6 table returns about 98.98% with perfect play (computed for standard rules), and it's the most volatile of the popular jacks-or-better games.
Four aces with a 2, 3 or 4 kicker pays 400 per coin; four 2s–4s with an ace, 2, 3 or 4 kicker pays 160.
The 9/6 table returns about 98.98% and 10/6 about 100.07% with perfect play (computed for standard rules).
With four aces and a non-paying kicker, draw a new fifth card; it's worth about 221 bets against 160 for standing.
SlotoCash's own site lists Double Double Bonus Poker, but its welcome bonus excludes video poker.
Partner casinos are offshore and not licensed by any US state; check your state's law first.

What is online Double Double Bonus Poker?
Double Double Bonus Poker takes Double Bonus Poker and adds kicker bonuses. You still play one hand of five-card draw against a pay table, and a pair of jacks or better is the smallest win. The difference is that the card beside a four of a kind can more than double the payout.
SlotCatalog's RTG catalog (opens in a new tab) lists RealTime Gaming's Double Double Bonus Poker as released on July 1, 2016, with a 4,000x top prize, but gives no RTP. SlotoCash's own site names the game among its titles. All return figures here are computed for the standard 9/6 table, so match them against the paytable in the game you open.
Because so much of the return rides on rare kicker hands, this is a game for players who accept long losing stretches. If you'd rather have steadier sessions, Jacks or Better or Bonus Poker Deluxe swing less. Both are in our casino games hub.

How kickers work in Double Double Bonus
A kicker is the fifth card next to a four of a kind. In this game it only matters for four aces and for four 2s, 3s or 4s. The counts below show how rare each kicker hand is on the deal, out of 2,598,960 possible five-card hands.

After optimal draws on the 9/6 table, four aces with a low kicker shows up about once every 16,236 hands, and plain four aces about once every 5,761 hands (computed for standard rules). The kicker lines together supply under 5% of the game's return, yet they shape the strategy.

Each one-coin cut to the full house costs about 1.1 points of return, and a one-coin cut to the flush about the same. The 10/6 figure assumes perfect play, which few people manage; read it as "about break-even before mistakes", not as a way to earn. Our house edge guide explains the method.

Four aces with a useless kicker is the headline play. Drawing one card keeps the 160 no matter what, and 12 of the 47 remaining cards (the 2s, 3s and 4s) turn it into 400. So the draw is worth 160 + 12/47 × 240, about 221. The same arithmetic makes drawing right with four 2s, 3s or 4s beside a 5 through king.
With three aces, never keep a kicker; draw two for the best chance at four aces. Aces up is played as a lone pair of aces, which is the reverse of most other games. Three 3s with a pair of kings is different: the made full house is worth $9.00 against $7.54 for the draw.
Double Double Bonus swings: what a session can look like
We computed the standard deviation at about 6.48 bets per hand on the 9/6 table, against 4.42 for 9/6 Jacks or Better. The table compares expected loss with one standard deviation of results at $1.25 a hand. Results within one standard deviation of the average happen about two-thirds of the time; the rest fall outside it.

How to play Double Double Bonus Poker online
Read the paytable, including all five four-of-a-kind lines and the full house and flush pays.
Pick a coin value so a five-coin bet fits your budget, since the royal only pays 800 per coin at five coins.
Deal, then check for four of a kind, three aces or a pair of aces before anything else.
Hold using the kicker rules above: discard a useless kicker beside four aces or four 2s–4s.
Draw once and collect any win.
Leave the double-up feature alone unless you've read its rules.
Check the eligible-games list before you claim. SlotoCash's own welcome-bonus terms limit play to slots, Real-Series video slots, keno and scratch cards, and say play on other games voids promotion winnings. Its general terms exclude video poker by default. So even though SlotoCash lists Double Double Bonus Poker, its welcome bonus isn't for this game.
Silver Oak's offer page sets 60x for video poker. With its published 100% match, a $100 deposit plus $100 bonus at 60x the total is $12,000 of play, with an expected loss of about $122 at the 9/6 edge. Third-party reports describe a Slot Madness code, MAD125, at 125% on all games including video poker with 40x wagering. On a $100 deposit, 40x the $125 bonus is $5,000 of play (expected loss about $51), or $9,000 if it's 40x deposit plus bonus (about $92).
Is online Double Double Bonus Poker legal in the US?
Real money online video poker is offered by state-licensed casinos only in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Maine authorized tribal online casinos in January 2026, but none had launched by October 2026. In other states, no online casino holds a state license.

Frequently asked questions
What RTP does online Double Double Bonus Poker return on a 9/6 table?
The common 9/6 table returns about 98.98% with perfect strategy, computed for standard rules. The rarer 10/6 table returns about 100.07%, and 8/5 falls to about 96.79%. No RTP for RealTime Gaming's version is published in our sources, so check the full house and flush pays on screen. Our RTP explainer explains why a session rarely matches the long-run figure.
Should you hold the kicker with four aces?
Only if it's a 2, 3 or 4. Four aces with one of those kickers already pays 400 per coin, so you stand. With any other kicker, hold the four aces and draw one card: you keep the 160 whatever comes, and 12 of the 47 cards upgrade it to 400. That draw averages about 221 bets against 160 for standing, computed for the 9/6 table. The kicker entry has more.
What is a kicker in Double Double Bonus Poker?
The kicker is the fifth card alongside a four of a kind. In Double Double Bonus it boosts four aces to 400 per coin when it's a 2, 3 or 4, and four 2s, 3s or 4s to 160 when it's an ace, 2, 3 or 4. Kickers don't matter for four 5s through kings, or for any other hand. Double Double Jackpot Poker uses face-card kickers instead.
Should I hold aces up in Double Double Bonus?
No. With a pair of aces and another pair, hold only the aces and draw three. On the 9/6 table that averages about $1.93 per $1 bet, against $1.68 for keeping both pairs, computed for standard rules. Two pair pays only 1, while the aces keep a live shot at four aces and the kicker bonus. Other two pair hands should be held whole. See our video poker strategy guide.
Is Double Double Bonus Poker high volatility?
Yes, it's the swingiest of the common jacks-or-better games. We computed a standard deviation of about 6.48 bets per hand on 9/6, against 4.42 for Jacks or Better. Over 1,000 hands at $1.25, a one-standard-deviation swing is about $256, while the expected loss is about $13. Read what volatility means before you set a budget.
Does SlotoCash have Double Double Bonus Poker?
SlotoCash's own site lists Double Double Bonus Poker among its games, so it's one of the few partner casinos where a source names this title. Its welcome bonus terms exclude video poker, though, so you'd play it with your own deposit. SlotoCash is offshore and not licensed by any US state, and Michigan's regulator named it in an October 8, 2026 cease-and-desist release. Read our SlotoCash video poker page.
Is Double Double Bonus better than Double Bonus Poker?
Not on return. The best common Double Bonus table, 10/7/5, returns about 100.17% against 98.98% for 9/6 Double Double Bonus, computed for standard rules, and Double Bonus swings less. Double Double Bonus suits players who want the chance at 400-per-coin kicker hands and accept the extra variance. Compare tables on our Double Bonus Poker page.
Are Double Double Bonus Poker winnings taxable?
Yes. Gambling winnings are taxable federal income whether or not you receive a form. For 2026, IRS instructions set a $2,000 reporting threshold for slot machine winnings, and from tax year 2026 the loss deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses; check IRS guidance. Offshore casinos may not issue forms, so keep your own records. See our gambling taxes guide.
Is Double Double Bonus Poker legal online in Pennsylvania?
Yes, at state-licensed sites, because Pennsylvania is one of seven states that license real-money online casinos. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's February 13, 2026 list shows 12 interactive gaming certificate holders running 25 authorized brands. Whether a given site carries this exact game, and which pay table it uses, is something to check in its lobby. The offshore RTG casinos on this page hold no Pennsylvania license, so the board's complaint process and player protections don't cover them. See our Pennsylvania real money casinos page and offshore vs state-licensed casinos.
How often do you get four aces with a kicker in Double Double Bonus?
About once every 16,236 hands after optimal draws on the 9/6 table, computed for standard rules. Plain four aces, without a 2, 3 or 4 beside them, comes about once every 5,761 hands. On the deal alone, four aces with a low kicker is far rarer, at 12 deals in 2,598,960, or one in 216,580. At 700 hands an hour, the 400-per-coin hand averages one every 23 hours of play. A long gap doesn't make it due, as the gambler's fallacy explains.
How much does Double Double Bonus Poker cost per hour?
On a 9/6 table at $1.25 a hand, about $8.90 an hour with perfect play, assuming 700 hands. That's $875 bet multiplied by the 1.02% house edge, computed for standard rules. On an 8/5 table, with a 3.21% edge, the same hour costs about $28, and on 7/5 about $38. Those are long-run averages; a single hour can swing by hundreds of dollars either way because of the game's high variance. Our house edge explained guide and casino math basics show the formula.
Should I break a full house in Double Double Bonus Poker?
Only when it's aces full. With A-A-A-K-K, holding the three aces and drawing two averages about $12.72 per $1 bet on the 9/6 table, against $9.00 for keeping the full house, computed for standard rules. The draw chases four aces and the 400-per-coin kicker hand. With any other full house, such as 3-3-3-K-K, keep it: the made hand is worth $9.00, while drawing to the three 3s averages about $7.54. This break is unique to the kicker games; see the video poker strategy guide for a full chart.
Can I play Double Double Bonus Poker on my phone at SlotoCash?
Yes, through the browser. SlotoCash's own support page says there's currently no app or software required and suggests adding a home-screen shortcut for instant play. Its site lists Double Double Bonus Poker among its titles, though it doesn't say whether every game appears in the mobile lobby, so check after you log in. Remember that SlotoCash's welcome bonus excludes video poker. The casino is offshore and holds no US state license. Read our SlotoCash mobile casino page and the iPhone casino guide.
Is Double Double Bonus Poker good for beginners?
It's not the best first game. Its computed standard deviation of about 6.48 bets per hand is the highest of the common jacks-or-better games, and its strategy includes unusual plays such as discarding the kicker beside four aces. A new player can lose a budget quickly while waiting for the rare kicker hands. Full-pay Jacks or Better returns about 99.54%, swings less (4.42 per hand) and has simpler holds, so it's a better place to learn. Start with how to play video poker before trying the kicker variants.
