Royal Ace Casino video poker comes from RealTime Gaming, whose catalog runs from Jacks or Better to Deuces Wild and progressive Double Jackpot games. Royal Ace doesn't publish its own list or pay tables, so this guide covers the RTG variants, the RTPs third parties report, how to check a pay table in the game, and why bonus wagering on video poker is so steep.
Royal Ace runs RealTime Gaming software (Casino Guru); LCB's bonus terms set a separate 60x rate for video poker, which points to the game type being offered.
RTG's Jacks or Better is reported at 99.54% RTP; Sevens Wild sits at 93.15%, so the variant you choose matters.
Open the pay table in each game before you play: the payouts for a full house and a flush drive the return.
On $500 of play, the expected loss ranges from about $2.30 to $34.25 across reported RTG variants.
Royal Ace is offshore and not licensed by any US state.
Royal Ace Casino video poker: what's on offer
Royal Ace's video poker is RTG's. Casino Guru (opens in a new tab) lists RealTime Gaming and its SpinLogic brand as the casino's software, and LCB (opens in a new tab) lists a specific 60x wagering rate for video poker in Royal Ace's bonus terms, which only makes sense if the games are in the lobby. Neither source lists the individual variants.
Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild are among the games reported in the lobbies of Royal Ace and its sister RTG brands. Everything else on this page describes RTG's catalog in general, so check which titles appear when you log in. The casino-wide picture sits in our Royal Ace Casino review.
Royal Ace's own pages couldn't be read for this guide, and no source publishes Royal Ace's pay tables. All RTPs below are third-party figures for RTG's games.
RTG video poker variants and reported RTPs
RTG makes at least 14 video poker games. Third-party databases give returns for about half of them; the rest show no RTP. Max-win figures are multiples of the bet and sometimes differ between sources.
RTG video poker games: third-party RTP and max-win figures
A video poker pay table lists what each hand pays per coin bet, from a pair of jacks up to a royal flush. Two games with the same name can pay differently, and a small cut to a common hand changes the return far more than a change to a rare one. That's why the pay table, not the game's name, tells you the real price.
Open the video poker game in the Royal Ace lobby at the lowest stake.
Find the pay table, usually shown above the cards or behind a help or info button.
Note the payouts for a full house and a flush on a one-coin bet. These are the hands most often trimmed on lower-paying versions.
Check the royal flush row for a maximum-coin bonus, and decide whether you'd bet max coins to qualify.
Look in the help screen for a stated RTP or theoretical return. Compare it with the figures in this guide.
If no return is shown, or the full house and flush pay less than another version of the same game, pick a different variant.
Expected loss is total stake multiplied by the house edge (100% minus RTP). Here's a session of 400 hands at $1.25 a hand (five coins at 25 cents), which is $500 staked. The figures assume correct strategy; mistakes push the cost higher.

Video poker strategy at Royal Ace: what it can and can't do
Video poker is a game of decisions. Which cards you hold affects the return, and the RTP figures above assume the best hold every time. Our video poker strategy guide covers the main rules for Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild, and how to play video poker explains the basics.
Strategy narrows the edge but doesn't remove it. Even at 99.54%, the house keeps 46 cents per $100 bet on average.
The gamble feature adds swings. Jacks or Better, Aces and Eights and Loose Deuces are reported with double-or-nothing options. They don't help you beat the house edge; they make results lumpier.
Wild-card games need different strategy. Deuces Wild and Sevens Wild change which hands are worth keeping.
There are no due hands. Each deal is independent, so a long run without a royal flush doesn't make one more likely.
Common Royal Ace video poker mistakes that raise your costs
Video poker has some of the lowest reported edges in RTG's catalog, but only for players who choose and play well. These are the habits that turn a game near 99.5% into a much more expensive one.
Picking by name, not return. On reported figures, Sevens Wild costs about $34.25 per $500 staked against $2.30 for Jacks or Better, roughly 15 times as much.
Skipping the pay table. Two games with the same name can pay differently, and a cut to the full house or flush matters most.
Using one strategy for every game. Holds that suit Jacks or Better lose value in Deuces Wild or Sevens Wild, where the wild cards change what's worth keeping.
Leaning on the gamble feature. Double-or-nothing doesn't lower the edge; it only makes sessions swing harder.
Chasing a royal flush. Raising the stake after a long dry run doesn't make the hand more likely, since every deal is independent.
Clearing a bonus at 60x without the math. $18,000 of hands on a $100 deposit with a 200% match, capped at $1,000 in withdrawals per LCB, is a long grind.
A short list of rules fixes most of these: pick a high-return variant, read its pay table, learn that game's strategy and set a session budget. Our guides to the gambler's fallacy and casino myths explain why streaks don't matter, and the video poker bonus page shows when a bonus is worth taking. If you also play tables, the Royal Ace table games page compares blackjack's low edges.
Progressive video poker at Royal Ace
RTG's Double Jackpot Poker and Double Double Jackpot Poker are listed with progressive jackpots. Double Double Jackpot Poker is reported at 98.98% RTP; no figure is published for Double Jackpot Poker. Whether either is live at Royal Ace isn't confirmed, so check the lobby. Our Royal Ace progressive jackpots page covers the jackpot network as a whole.
Royal Ace bonus wagering on video poker
Video poker is one of the slowest ways to clear a Royal Ace bonus. LCB lists 60x (bonus plus deposit) on video poker, blackjack and classic blackjack, against 30x on slots, and a max cashout of 10 times the deposit. Casino Guru and LCB disagree on the headline package: 250% up to $2,500 plus 35 extra spins versus 200% up to $4,000.
$100 deposit, 200% match (LCB): $300 combined × 60 = $18,000 of video poker. At Jacks or Better's 99.54%, the expected loss is about $83.
$100 deposit, 250% match (Casino Guru): $350 × 60 = $21,000, or about $97 at the same RTP.
Max cashout: LCB caps withdrawable bonus winnings at 10 times the deposit, so $1,000 on a $100 deposit.
The low edge makes the cost look modest, but $18,000 of hands takes a long time and the swings are real. Royal Ace's full game exclusions aren't published; check the terms at sign-up. Our video poker bonus guide and Royal Ace welcome bonus page explain more.
Is Royal Ace video poker legal for US players?
Royal Ace is offshore. Its site shows no license or operator in any source we checked. AskGamblers lists Costa Rica with no license number, and Casino Guru and LCB list no license. No US state licenses Royal Ace, so a dispute over a hand or a payout has no state regulator behind it. State law decides what applies to players; see our explainer on offshore casino legality.
Royal Ace isn't named in any Michigan Gaming Control Board release on our record, though its sister brand Silver Oak was named on April 9, 2025, in the board's release on 13 unlicensed operators (opens in a new tab). Decode isn't among the Michigan actions on our record. Our Michigan page explains the board's position on offshore sites.

Neither offer below is built for video poker: both are slot-led, and video poker is weighted lower or excluded. Both casinos are offshore and not licensed by any US state; check your state's law first. Even at a 99%-plus return, the house keeps an edge, so treat play as entertainment with a cost.
Royal Ace Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 35 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Frequently asked questions
Does Royal Ace Casino have video poker?
Very likely, though no reviewer lists the games. LCB's version of Royal Ace's bonus terms sets a 60x wagering rate for video poker, and Casino Guru lists RealTime Gaming, which makes 14 or more video poker titles. Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild are reported in the lobbies of Royal Ace and its sister brands. Check the lobby after you log in; our how to play video poker guide covers the basics.
What is the best video poker game at Royal Ace?
On third-party figures, RTG's Jacks or Better is the strongest at 99.54% RTP, followed by Bonus Deuces Wild at 99.15% and Loose Deuces at 99.07%. Sevens Wild is far weaker at 93.15%. Those numbers assume perfect strategy and the standard pay table, so check the game's own pay table first. Our best video poker game page explains how to compare them.
Where can I see the Royal Ace video poker pay tables?
Inside each game. Royal Ace doesn't publish pay tables on any page we could check, so open the game at the lowest stake and look above the cards or behind the help button. Note the full house and flush payouts, which differ most between versions, and look for a stated RTP. Our pay table glossary entry explains every row.
Can I clear the Royal Ace bonus on video poker?
Under LCB's listing, yes, but at 60x (bonus plus deposit), double the 30x slot rate. A $100 deposit with a 200% match means $18,000 of video poker before you can withdraw, and a max cashout of 10 times the deposit still applies. Royal Ace's full exclusion list isn't published, so read the terms at sign-up. Our Royal Ace welcome bonus page works through it.
Does Royal Ace offer progressive video poker?
RTG makes two progressive video poker games, Double Jackpot Poker and Double Double Jackpot Poker, and the second is reported at 98.98% RTP. No source confirms either is live at Royal Ace, so check the lobby. A progressive's return includes the jackpot, which few players ever hit. Our Double Double Jackpot Poker guide explains how it pays.
Is Royal Ace video poker fair?
LCB says RTG games are tested by Technical Systems Testing, and the reported RTPs match typical video poker returns. But no US state licenses Royal Ace, and reviewers including LCB and AskGamblers flag slow payouts. A fair game doesn't help if a cashout stalls. Read is Royal Ace legit? and our Royal Ace withdrawals guide before you deposit.
Can I play Royal Ace video poker on my phone?
Yes, through the mobile browser. Reviewers list instant play and mobile versions, and no App Store or Google Play app. Video poker suits small screens well because there are only five cards and a few buttons. Check the pay table on the phone version too. Our Royal Ace mobile casino guide shows how to add a home-screen shortcut.
How does Royal Ace video poker compare with Decode?
Royal Ace is an RTG casino, so its video poker is RTG's. Decode runs many providers, including RTG, but no source lists its video poker games. Decode's bonuses are reported with lower wagering in some cases, such as 25x for DECODE111, though codes change. Decode is reported to refuse Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington players. See our Decode vs Royal Ace comparison.
What is the minimum bet on Royal Ace video poker?
Royal Ace doesn't publish video poker stakes, so the coin sizes and coins per hand appear only inside each game. Check the denomination options before you play, because the cost of a hand is the coin value times the number of coins. As an example, five coins at 25 cents is $1.25 a hand, and 400 hands at that stake is $500 staked, costing about $2.30 on average at Jacks or Better's reported 99.54% RTP. Smaller coins stretch a budget further. Our denomination entry explains how coin values work.
Should I bet max coins on Royal Ace video poker?
Only if the game's pay table gives a bonus for a royal flush at maximum coins and the stake fits your budget. That bonus is common in video poker, but Royal Ace doesn't publish its pay tables, so check each game's top row. If the royal pays more per coin at max bet, playing fewer coins gives up part of the return, though the hand is rare. If the pay table is flat, smaller bets cost the same percentage. Never raise your coin size just to afford max coins. Our royal flush entry explains why that hand drives the decision.
Is Jacks or Better or Deuces Wild better at Royal Ace?
On reported figures, Jacks or Better has the higher and more certain return, at 99.54% per GamesHub, while RTG's Deuces Wild is reported as a range of 97%–99%. Bonus Deuces Wild sits at 99.15% and Loose Deuces at 99.07%. Deuces Wild hands come more often because the four 2s are wild, but strategy changes: you keep different cards, and Jacks or Better habits cost money. Check the pay table in the lobby, since it sets the real figure. Our explainer on what Deuces Wild is covers the wild-card rules.
Is Royal Ace video poker legal in California?
California doesn't license online casinos, and Royal Ace holds no license there or in any other state. The state's gambling is overseen by the California Gambling Control Commission and the Justice Department's Bureau of Gambling Control, which cover about 60 tribal casinos and 91 cardrooms. California also banned dual-currency sweepstakes casinos under AB 831 from January 1, 2026. State law decides what's allowed for players. Our California online casinos page explains the rules, and can I play online casinos in California gives the short answer.
Do I pay tax on a Royal Ace video poker win?
Yes, gambling winnings are taxable federal income, including video poker wins at an offshore casino. Whether Royal Ace issues a Form W-2G isn't published, but your duty to report doesn't depend on getting one. Losses are deductible only up to your winnings, and from tax year 2026 the deduction is reported to be capped at 90% of losses, so check IRS guidance. Keep a log of sessions, deposits and withdrawals in dollars. Our gambling taxes guide and the W-2G form page explain the rules.
Can I play Royal Ace video poker for free?
Royal Ace doesn't say whether it offers demo play in any source we could check, so look for a practice option in the lobby. If one exists, it's a good way to learn the pay table and practice holds before you stake money, especially on wild-card games where strategy changes. Free-play results don't predict real-money sessions. If there's no demo, start at the smallest coin size. Bonus money isn't a free trial, as LCB lists 60x wagering on video poker. Our demo mode guide explains how practice modes usually work.
