This McLuck review gives you the straight answer: McLuck is a dual-currency sweepstakes site run from the Isle of Man, not a state-licensed casino, and its own terms shut out 16 states. Below are the operator, the coin offer, redemption minimums, regulator letters and how it compares with our partner casinos.

Key takeaways

  • McLuck's terms name B-Two Operations Limited of Douglas, Isle of Man, as the operator and describe a sweepstakes model, not a gambling license.
  • Terms of Service v2.6 (October 14, 2026) exclude 16 states, limit promotional contests in California and end Oklahoma play on November 1, 2026.
  • Maryland and Illinois regulators have both sent McLuck letters, according to trade press reports.
  • Third-party reviews list redemption minimums of 10 Sweeps Coins for gift cards and 75 for cash, with 1–5 day payouts advertised.

McLuck review: the short answer for US players

McLuck is a social sweepstakes site. You play casino-style games with Gold Coins for fun and with Sweeps Coins that can be redeemed for prizes. It is not a real-money online casino licensed by any US state, and it does not claim to be. Its terms describe a sweepstakes promotion instead of a gambling license.

That legal structure is the core of any honest McLuck review. Sweepstakes sites argue that because you can always get Sweeps Coins without buying anything, the games are promotions rather than gambling. A growing list of states rejects that argument, and McLuck's own excluded-state list has grown with it. Our sweepstakes casino laws page explains the legal theory in more depth, and our online casino reviews hub covers every other brand US players ask about.

Who owns McLuck and where is it based?

McLuck's terms of service name B-Two Operations Limited, registered in the Isle of Man under number 021483V, with an address on Hope Street in Douglas. That is the company you contract with when you open an account, and it is the name to use in any formal complaint.

A second company appears in third-party coverage. Sweepsy names B2Services OÜ, and Hello Millions describes that firm as the group's payment services agent. The two descriptions don't conflict so much as describe different roles: one company runs the promotion, another handles payment processing. The terms you accept at sign-up are the ones that count.

Third-party reviewers date McLuck's launch to 2023. That makes it a younger brand than many offshore real-money casinos US players see advertised, such as SlotoCash, which says it has been online since 2007. Age alone doesn't prove anything, but a short track record means fewer years of payout history to judge.

The Isle of Man address does not mean McLuck holds an Isle of Man gambling license. Its terms describe a sweepstakes model, and no gambling license is published.

How McLuck Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins work

Every dual-currency sweepstakes site runs on the same two-wallet idea, and McLuck is no exception. Understanding it is the key to judging any McLuck bonus or McLuck promo code you see advertised.

  • Gold Coins (GC) are for entertainment play only. You can buy packages of them, but they have no cash value and can't be redeemed.
  • Sweeps Coins (SC) come as a bonus with Gold Coin packages, through no-purchase methods, or through promotions. Winnings in Sweeps Coins can be redeemed for prizes once you meet the minimum and the site's rules. Our Sweeps Coins explainer covers the basics.
  • The no-purchase route is what lets the operator call the games a sweepstakes rather than gambling. The exact methods are set in McLuck's official rules.

In practice, most players who redeem prizes have bought Gold Coin packages, and the Sweeps Coins arrive bundled with them. That's why regulators in several states treat these games as online casino gambling in all but name. Our guide to sweepstakes vs real-money casinos sets the two models side by side.

McLuck welcome bonus and promo code offer

Sweepsy, a third-party review site, lists the McLuck welcome offer as 7,500 Gold Coins plus 2.5 Sweeps Coins with no purchase when you join with an affiliate code, and 120,000 Gold Coins plus 60 Sweeps Coins on a first purchase. These figures come from a reviewer, not from McLuck, and the same page conflicts with itself: its header shows 127,500 GC plus 62.5 SC, and the package price appears as both $41.09 and $24.99.

Because of that conflict, check the offer on McLuck's purchase screen before you buy anything. Our McLuck promo code page tracks the codes reported for new players and notes that codes change often.

What the coin offer is worth in practice

The useful sum is how far the free Sweeps Coins are from a redemption. Using the third-party minimums below, the arithmetic looks like this:

McLuck welcome Sweeps Coins vs redemption minimums
Starting balanceGift card minimum (10 SC)Cash minimum (75 SC)
2.5 SC (no purchase)Needs to grow 4 times (2.5 × 4 = 10)Needs to grow 30 times (2.5 × 30 = 75)
62.5 SC (no purchase + first purchase)Already above the minimum12.5 SC short (75 − 62.5)
60 SC (first purchase only)Already above the minimum15 SC short (75 − 60)

Two caveats apply. First, many sweepstakes sites require Sweeps Coins to be played through before they become redeemable; McLuck's playthrough rule isn't given in the third-party reviews cited above, so read its official rules. Second, the games have a built-in house edge, so a balance is more likely to shrink than grow over many spins. Our wagering requirements explained guide shows how play-through rules change the value of any bonus.

McLuck excluded states and restricted areas

McLuck's Terms of Service v2.6, dated October 14, 2026, list 16 excluded states. Count them yourself in the table, because older lists online are shorter and some include states this one doesn't.

States excluded in McLuck Terms of Service v2.6 (October 14, 2026)
RegionExcluded states
NortheastConnecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York
SouthKentucky, Louisiana, Tennessee, West Virginia
MidwestIndiana, Michigan
WestIdaho, Montana, Nevada, Washington
Total16 states

The same terms add two more limits. Promotional contests are not offered in California, where AB 831 took effect on January 1, 2026. And McLuck says it is ceasing operations in Oklahoma on November 1, 2026, the date SB 1589 takes effect there.

There is also a conflict. An undated McLuck help-center page lists a different set: Montana, Washington, Idaho, Kentucky, Georgia, Nevada, Alabama, Michigan, Louisiana and Delaware. That older list includes Georgia and Alabama, which v2.6 does not. When two of a site's own pages disagree, the latest dated terms usually govern, but check both before you sign up.

Don't try to play from an excluded state with location-masking tools, a false address or someone else's account. Sweepstakes terms let operators void prizes and close accounts for this.

Is McLuck legit? Regulator letters on record

McLuck is a real company with published terms and app-store listings, so it isn't a fly-by-night clone. But legit and approved are different things, and two state regulators have taken action that names it, according to trade press.

McLuck regulator actions reported
DateRegulatorActionSource type
Before March 21, 2025Maryland Lottery and GamingMcLuck listed among earlier letter recipientsThird-party (Covers)
February 4–5, 2026Illinois Gaming BoardCease-and-desist, one of 65 operatorsThird-party (SportsLine)

Covers reported the Maryland action in its story on Maryland's letter to High 5 Casino (opens in a new tab), noting McLuck among earlier recipients. Maryland now appears on McLuck's excluded list. The Illinois action is described in SportsLine's report on the Illinois letters (opens in a new tab), and the Illinois Gaming Board published its own press release on the online casino letters (opens in a new tab).

Illinois is not on the v2.6 excluded list. That doesn't mean Illinois approves of McLuck; it means the operator hadn't added the state to its terms when they were last updated. Read our Illinois sweepstakes casinos page and our cease-and-desist letters explainer before deciding. Our separate is McLuck legit page goes deeper on trust signals.

McLuck games and software providers

Sweepsy lists 15 studios supplying the McLuck lobby: Koala Games, Playtech, Shady Lady, Kendoo, Playson, Roc Studios, Kalamba Games, Penguin King, Booming Games, BGaming, Evoplay, Relax Gaming, Netgaming, Iconic21 and Vivo Gaming. That is a third-party list, so the lobby may differ by the time you join.

The mix is mostly slots, plus live-table content from studios such as Iconic21 and Vivo Gaming. None of these is RealTime Gaming, the studio behind most games at our partner casinos. If you like RTG titles such as Cash Bandits 3 or the Real Series progressives, McLuck isn't where you'll find them.

No game count or RTP list for McLuck is published in the sources we rely on, so we don't quote one. Every casino-style game, sweepstakes or not, is designed to return less than you stake over time. Our house edge explained guide shows the math.

McLuck redemption: minimums, methods and payout speed

Third-party reviews report two redemption floors: 10 Sweeps Coins for gift cards and 75 Sweeps Coins for cash prizes. They also report an advertised payout time of 1–5 days. McLuck's terms set the actual rules, and advertised speeds are targets, not promises. No crypto redemption option is published.

  1. Read McLuck's official sweepstakes rules for your state before you play Sweeps Coins, since excluded and restricted states change.
  2. Keep your account details matching your legal name and address, and expect an identity check before a first prize is paid.
  3. Check that your redeemable Sweeps Coins balance meets the minimum: 10 SC for a gift card or 75 SC for cash, as reported.
  4. Choose the prize type and submit the request from your account, then keep a screenshot or email confirmation.
  5. Allow the advertised 1–5 days, and contact support in writing if it takes longer.
  6. Record the prize value for tax time; prizes count as taxable income.

Our McLuck redemption guide covers the request process in more detail, and our McLuck legit check lists the trust questions to ask first.

McLuck app and mobile play

Third-party reviews report McLuck apps on both the App Store and Google Play. That sets it apart from offshore real-money casinos, which generally aren't allowed in the US app stores and run in a mobile browser instead.

An app store listing is not a legal opinion. Apple and Google apply their own policies, and an app's presence doesn't mean the game is permitted where you live. Check the excluded-state list above before downloading.

McLuck pros and cons

Pros

  • Operator name, registration number and address are published in its terms
  • Dated terms with a clear excluded-state list (v2.6, October 14, 2026)
  • No-purchase entry route, as all sweepstakes sites must offer
  • Low reported gift card minimum of 10 SC
  • Reported apps on both major app stores
  • Wide studio mix, per third-party listings

Cons

  • Not licensed by any US state; operates on a contested sweepstakes model
  • 16 states excluded, plus California contest limits and an Oklahoma exit
  • Named in Maryland and Illinois regulator actions, per trade press
  • Welcome offer figures conflict across a single third-party source
  • Cash redemption needs 75 SC, as reported
  • No crypto option published; no RTG games

Whether McLuck is legal where you live depends on your state's law, not on McLuck's terms. Federal law doesn't settle it: UIGEA targets payment processing for unlawful internet gambling, and state law decides what counts as unlawful. Our offshore casinos legality page covers the federal side.

Several states have now banned dual-currency sweepstakes casinos outright. The recorded bans include New Jersey (A5447, August 15, 2025), Connecticut and Montana (October 1, 2025), New York (S5935-A, December 5, 2025), California (AB 831, January 1, 2026), Tennessee (May 22, 2026), Indiana (July 1, 2026), Maine (July 2026), Louisiana (Act 182, August 1, 2026) and Oklahoma (November 1, 2026). InfoLawGroup's 2026 overview of sweepstakes casino laws (opens in a new tab) tracks the newest ones.

McLuck's v2.6 list already covers most of those states, and its Oklahoma exit lines up with that state's start date. Our sweepstakes casino bans tracker and the states hub let you check where you live.

Taxes on McLuck prizes

Prizes you redeem are taxable income under federal law, whether they come as cash or gift cards. Keep a record of each redemption. Our gambling taxes guide explains reporting, including when a W-2G form is issued.

Safer play at McLuck and similar sites

Coin packages can feel less like spending than a real-money deposit, which makes it easy to lose track. Set a monthly entertainment budget before you buy any Gold Coins, and stop when it's gone.

Frequently asked questions

Is McLuck a real money casino?

No, McLuck is a sweepstakes site, not a real-money casino. You play with Gold Coins for entertainment and Sweeps Coins that can be redeemed for prizes, and its terms describe a sweepstakes model rather than a gambling license. Several states treat dual-currency sites as illegal gambling anyway, which is why McLuck excludes 16 of them. Our sweepstakes vs real-money casinos guide explains the difference in plain terms.

Who owns McLuck?

McLuck's terms name B-Two Operations Limited, registered in the Isle of Man under number 021483V, with an address in Douglas. One third-party reviewer also names B2Services OÜ, which another source describes as the group's payment services agent. The Isle of Man address is a company registration, not a gambling license. See our is McLuck legit page for more on what that means for players.

Which states can't play McLuck?

McLuck's Terms of Service v2.6, dated October 14, 2026, exclude 16 states: Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia. It also limits promotional contests in California and says it will stop operating in Oklahoma on November 1, 2026. An older help page lists a different set, so check the current terms. Our sweepstakes casino bans page tracks state laws.

What is the McLuck no purchase bonus?

Third-party reviews report 7,500 Gold Coins plus 2.5 Sweeps Coins with no purchase when you sign up through an affiliate code. The first-purchase offer is reported as 120,000 Gold Coins plus 60 Sweeps Coins, though the same source shows conflicting figures and prices. Confirm the offer on McLuck's purchase screen. Our McLuck promo code page lists the codes reported for new players, 21+ and terms apply.

How long does McLuck take to pay out?

Third-party reviews report an advertised redemption time of 1–5 days. That is the site's target, not a promise, and identity checks can add time to a first redemption. The reported minimums are 10 Sweeps Coins for a gift card and 75 Sweeps Coins for cash. Keep written confirmation of every request. Our McLuck redemption guide walks through the process step by step.

Has McLuck received a cease-and-desist letter?

Yes, according to trade press. Covers reported that Maryland Lottery and Gaming had sent McLuck a letter before March 21, 2025, and SportsLine reported that the Illinois Gaming Board named McLuck among 65 operators sent cease-and-desist letters on February 4–5, 2026. Maryland is now on McLuck's excluded list; Illinois is not. Our cease-and-desist letters page explains what these letters do.

Does McLuck have an app?

Third-party reviews report McLuck apps on both the App Store and Google Play. That is unusual compared with offshore real-money casinos, which generally run only in a mobile browser. An app listing doesn't mean the games are permitted where you live, so check the excluded-state list in McLuck's terms first. Our mobile casino guide covers how browser-based casinos work on phones.

Are McLuck winnings taxable?

Yes, prizes redeemed from a sweepstakes site count as taxable income under federal law, whether paid as cash or gift cards. Keep a record of each redemption, including the date and value, so you can report it accurately. Your state may tax them too. Our gambling taxes page and W-2G form guide explain reporting rules and thresholds.

Is McLuck legal in Illinois?

McLuck's legal footing in Illinois is weak: there's no sweepstakes ban statute yet, but the Illinois Gaming Board named McLuck among 65 operators in cease-and-desist letters on February 4–5, 2026, according to trade press. The board and the attorney general sent more than 60 such letters to online casino and sweepstakes platforms that month, and a sweepstakes bill sits in committee. Illinois isn't on McLuck's v2.6 excluded list, which reflects the operator's choice, not state approval. Players in Chicago, Aurora or Joliet should read our Illinois sweepstakes casinos page and the Illinois online casino hub.

Can I play McLuck in California?

Not for prizes: McLuck's Terms of Service v2.6 say promotional sweepstakes contests aren't offered in California. California's AB 831 took effect on January 1, 2026 and makes it illegal to knowingly engage in, promote or facilitate dual-currency sweepstakes casinos, and trade reports say it reaches payment processors and affiliates. California isn't on McLuck's list of 16 fully excluded states, but without Sweeps Coins play there's no prize route. Players in Los Angeles, San Diego or San Jose can read our California sweepstakes casinos page and the sweepstakes casino bans tracker.

What is the difference between McLuck and Hello Millions?

McLuck and Hello Millions are run by the same Isle of Man company, B-Two Operations Limited (reg. 021483V), so they share a sweepstakes model but differ in detail. Third-party reviews report a 75 SC cash redemption minimum at McLuck against 50 SC at Hello Millions, and McLuck reports apps on both major app stores while Hello Millions' app status conflicts. McLuck's own terms exclude 16 states; a third-party list for Hello Millions shows 20. Read our Hello Millions review and the Hello Millions legit check to compare.

What games can you play on McLuck?

McLuck is mostly slots, with some live-table content, from 15 studios listed by a third-party review: Koala Games, Playtech, Shady Lady, Kendoo, Playson, Roc Studios, Kalamba Games, Penguin King, Booming Games, BGaming, Evoplay, Relax Gaming, Netgaming, Iconic21 and Vivo Gaming. No game count or RTP list is published in the sources we rely on, so check the lobby. RealTime Gaming isn't on that list, so RTG slots such as Cash Bandits 3 won't be there. Our guides to casino software providers and the live dealer guide explain these studio types.

Does McLuck accept crypto?

No crypto option for McLuck purchases or redemptions is published in the sources reviewed for this page, as of October 28, 2026. Third-party reviews describe gift card prizes from 10 Sweeps Coins and cash prizes from 75 Sweeps Coins, with an advertised payout time of 1–5 days, but don't list crypto among the methods. Treat any site promising Bitcoin redemptions at McLuck with caution unless McLuck's own rules confirm it. If crypto banking matters to you, our best crypto casinos list covers offshore real-money sites, and the McLuck redemption guide explains the prize options.
