This Sportzino review gives US players the straight facts: Sportzino is a dual-currency sweepstakes casino run by SSPS LLC, part of the Blazesoft group, that blocks 16 states and pays Sweeps Coin redemptions by bank transfer. It also faces a New York class action and has pulled Sweeps Coins play from Illinois. Here's what that means before you sign up.
Sportzino is a sweepstakes casino run by SSPS LLC, not a state-licensed real-money casino.
Its sweeps rules (version 2.4, August 12, 2026) exclude 16 states; Oklahoma's ban, in force from November 1, 2026, isn't on that list yet.
Third-party reviews report a no-purchase start of 170,000 Gold Coins + 7 Sweeps Coins after verification; redemptions start at 50 SC.
A 2025 New York class action (allegations only) and a 2026 Illinois Gaming Board letter are on the record.
Sportzino review: the short verdict for US players
Sportzino is a social casino that uses the sweepstakes model: you play with Gold Coins for fun and with Sweeps Coins that can be redeemed for prizes. It is not a real-money casino licensed by any state, and it shuts out 16 states under its own rules. If you live in one of the other states, the main questions are how the coins work, how slow redemptions are, and how much legal pressure the brand is under.
On paper the deal is simple. Third-party reviews report a no-purchase bundle after you verify your account, plus a cheap first purchase. The weak points are a 50 Sweeps Coin redemption floor, bank transfer as the only payout route recorded, a pending class action in New York, and an exit from Illinois after the state's regulator sent cease-and-desist letters. You'll find each point covered below, with dates, so you can judge it yourself. For other brands, see our full list of online casino reviews.
Pros
No purchase needed to start, as reviewers report
Low-priced first purchase reported at $2.99
Large provider list reported, including NetEnt, Hacksaw Gaming and Nolimit City
Apps reported on both the App Store and Google Play
Cons
Not licensed by any US state; no state regulator handles complaints
16 states excluded, and the list can change month to month
50 SC minimum per redemption request
Crypto redemptions not published
Named in a 2025 class action (allegations) and an Illinois regulator letter
Who owns Sportzino? SSPS LLC and the Blazesoft group
Sportzino's own sweeps rules name SSPS LLC as the company behind the site. A federal class action complaint filed in New York describes SSPS as part of the Blazesoft group, the same group that runs Zula Casino and Fortune Coins. That matters, because rules, redemption systems and legal decisions often move across a group's brands at the same time.
Third-party reviewers date Sportzino's launch to December 2023, which makes it a young brand by casino standards. The site doesn't hold a gambling license. Its legal basis is the sweepstakes model itself, set out in its sweeps rules, rather than approval from a gaming regulator.

How Sportzino works: Gold Coins vs Sweeps Coins
Every sweepstakes casino runs on two currencies. Gold Coins (GC) are play money with no cash value. Sweeps Coins (SC) come as a bonus, either free through promotions or bundled with Gold Coin purchases, and only SC can be redeemed for prizes. You never buy Sweeps Coins directly, which is the legal hook the model relies on. Our explainer on what Sweeps Coins are goes deeper.

The site's rules set exactly how SC convert to prizes and what playthrough applies before coins become redeemable. The figures we hold don't include those conversion details, so read the current sweeps rules before you assume a dollar value for your balance. The glossary entry on Sweeps Coins explains the general idea.
Is Sportzino legal in the USA? The sweepstakes argument
Sportzino operates on the argument that sweepstakes promotions aren't gambling, because no purchase is needed to get Sweeps Coins. That's the claim, not a settled legal fact. A growing number of states treat dual-currency casino games as illegal gambling whatever the purchase rules say, and they've written that into law.
States with recorded bans on dual-currency sweepstakes casinos include New York (S5935-A, effective December 5, 2025), New Jersey (A5447, August 15, 2025), California (AB 831, January 1, 2026), Connecticut and Montana (both October 1, 2025), Louisiana (Act 182, August 1, 2026), Maine (LD 2007, July 2026), Indiana (HEA 1052, July 1, 2026), Tennessee (May 22, 2026) and Oklahoma (SB 1589, November 1, 2026). A law firm's 2026 review of sweepstakes casino laws (opens in a new tab) tracks the newer bans and pending bills.
Elsewhere, the picture depends on each state's gambling statutes and its regulator. Illinois has no ban statute, but its Gaming Board sent letters to sweepstakes operators anyway. Read our guide to sweepstakes casino laws and the state-by-state sweepstakes casino bans tracker before you play anywhere.
We don't say whether playing at Sportzino is legal for you personally. That depends on your state's law, which the state pages on this site set out as recorded.
Sportzino restricted states: the 16-state list and the Oklahoma gap
Sportzino's sweeps rules, version 2.4 dated August 12, 2026, exclude 16 states: Idaho, Georgia, New York, Michigan, Washington, Nevada, Delaware, Connecticut, California, Louisiana, Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, New Jersey and Montana. The same rules put a cap on wins for Florida players, without exiting the state.

Two dates don't line up. Sportzino's rules give July 24, 2026 as the Louisiana exit date, while Louisiana's Act 182 took effect on August 1, 2026. And Oklahoma isn't on the August list, even though SB 1589 bans online casino games and dual-currency sweepstakes from November 1, 2026. Players in Tulsa or Oklahoma City should read Oklahoma's sweepstakes casino rules and expect the list to change.
Sportzino no deposit bonus and first-purchase deal
Third-party reviews, updated August 17, 2026, report that new players get 170,000 Gold Coins + 7 Sweeps Coins with no purchase once they verify their account. The same reviews report a first purchase from 500,000 GC + 10 SC for $2.99. Sportzino's own pages weren't the source for these amounts, so check what the site shows on the day you join.
What the bonus is worth in practice
Do the sums before you get excited. The 7 SC sign-up amount plus the 10 SC from the first purchase gives 17 SC. The sweeps rules set a 50 SC floor for each redemption, so you'd still be 33 SC short of your first request. Getting there means winning in Sweeps Coin play, and slot-style games return less than you stake over time, so most balances shrink rather than grow.
We don't list a Sportzino promo code because none is confirmed in the records we hold, and codes change often. Our page on Sportzino promo codes tracks this, and the guide to no deposit bonuses explains why free starts at real-money casinos carry wagering and cashout caps.
Sportzino redemption: minimums, bank transfer and timing
Sportzino redeems Sweeps Coins by bank transfer, which third-party reviewers say typically takes 3 to 5 days. The sweeps rules set a minimum of 50 SC per request. No crypto redemption option is published, so if you want coins sent to a wallet, Sportzino isn't the brand for it.
Read the current sweeps rules for your state, including any Florida win cap and the playthrough that applies before SC become redeemable.
Complete identity verification. The no-purchase coins are reported to arrive only after verification, and redemptions need it too; our account verification guide lists the usual documents.
Check that your redeemable SC balance reaches at least 50 SC.
Request a bank transfer redemption to an account in your own name.
Allow around 3 to 5 days, as reviewers report, before contacting support.
Record the date, amount and reference for your gambling records and tax return.
For a fuller walk-through and the questions players ask most, see Sportzino redemption.
Sportzino games, software providers and app
Third-party reviewers list a wide spread of studios: RubyPlay, 3 Oaks Gaming, Booming Games, Evoplay, Relax Gaming, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, Red Tiger, BGaming and in-house Sportzino Originals. That's a bigger roster than most offshore RealTime Gaming casinos carry, which run one or two studios. Our software providers guide explains how studios differ.
Sportzino is reported to have apps on both the App Store and Google Play, which is rarer than you'd think among sweepstakes brands. Exact titles and game counts aren't recorded, so check the lobby for specific slots. Our mobile casino guide covers what to look for on a phone.
Sportzino lawsuit and regulator actions
On April 18, 2025, a class action was filed in the Southern District of New York: *Boatner v. SSPS LLC et al.*, No. 1:25-cv-03251. The Boatner complaint (opens in a new tab) names SSPS LLC doing business as Sportzino, alongside Zula and Fortune Coins. These are allegations, and no court finding against Sportzino is recorded.

Sportzino prizes, taxes and staying in control
Prizes you redeem are income in the eyes of the IRS. The IRS's W-2G instructions list sweepstakes among the payment types with reporting rules, and for 2026 the threshold is $2,000 where the prize is also at least 300 times the wager. Below that, the prize is still taxable. Our gambling taxes page covers reporting and the 90% loss-deduction cap reported for 2026; check IRS guidance for your case.
Sweepstakes play can feel harmless because Gold Coins cost little, but purchases add up fast. Set a monthly budget before you buy any coin package, and stop when it's gone. If gambling stops being fun, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), with call, text and chat through NCPG's helpline (opens in a new tab). Our responsible gambling hub lists blocking tools such as Gamban and BetBlocker.
Sportzino vs offshore real-money casinos
Sportzino and offshore real-money casinos sit in different gray zones. Sportzino argues it isn't gambling at all; offshore casinos take dollar deposits openly but hold no US state license. Neither gives you a state regulator to complain to. Our guide to sweepstakes vs real money casinos explains the trade-offs in depth.

Alternatives to Sportzino with an offer via our links
Sportzino's draw is a start with no purchase. The closest real-money match is a no-deposit bonus, so the alternatives below are partners that publish one. They're offshore casinos, not licensed or regulated by any US state, so check your state's law before you sign up. If something goes wrong there's no state regulator to complain to, balances have no state protection, and the casino sets its own terms. We earn a commission from these links, and we rank partners in a commercial order, not by test results. All offers are for new players aged 21+ (18+ where allowed), and terms apply.
Silver Oak Casino: $2,500 Welcome Bonus + 50 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). The casino's own site advertises a different package, a $10,000 welcome paid as a 100% match on each of the first ten deposits, and its terms list 40x wagering on slots (its promotion page says 30x), 60x on blackjack and video poker, no max withdrawal and deposits from $30. Its no-deposit codes SILVER25, SILVER50 and FREESILVER carry 30x wagering and a $100 max cashout, per the casino's terms. Silver Oak publishes an Anjouan license held by Primrose Media Limited, and the Michigan Gaming Control Board named it in its April 9, 2025 cease-and-desist release (opens in a new tab). Details are in our Silver Oak review.
Miami Club Casino: $4,000 Bonus + 285 Bonus Games, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). The casino's published package is up to $800, a 100% match up to $100 on each of the first eight deposits, with 20x deposit-plus-bonus wagering and no cap stated, per its bonus terms. It also lists MIFREE20, $20 free each month, though no-deposit bonuses carry 40x wagering and a payout cap that its documents set at 5x the bonus in one place and $150 in another. Its Terms of Use (v2.1, September 28, 2026, section 1.6) list the United States as a prohibited jurisdiction, while the affiliate program confirms US players are accepted, so confirm at sign-up. Miami Club runs WGS (Wager Gaming) software and was named by Michigan's regulator on August 14, 2025. See the Miami Club review.
Planet 7 Casino: $2,750 Welcome Bonus + 45 Free Spins, via our link (new players, 21+ or 18+ where allowed, terms apply). Third-party reviews report a 200% welcome match with 30x (bonus plus deposit) wagering on slots and a $1,000 max cashout, plus a $25 free chip with 30x wagering and a $100 max withdrawal; none of this is confirmed on the casino's own site. Michigan named Planet 7 on April 9, 2025. Read the Planet 7 review.
A worked example shows what a no-deposit chip really costs to clear. A $25 chip at 30x means $750 of slot bets. At an assumed 4% house edge, the expected cost of that play is $750 × 0.04 = $30, more than the chip itself, and any win above the $100 cap is forfeited. Bonuses are slot-focused: table games are usually excluded or weighted lower, so check the terms. The casino's own site may show a different package from our link, and the terms shown at sign-up apply. Compare more options on our best no deposit bonus casinos list.

Frequently asked questions
Is Sportzino legit?
Sportzino is a real, operating sweepstakes casino run by SSPS LLC, but it isn't licensed by any state. Third-party reviews report that it pays redemptions by bank transfer in about 3 to 5 days. On the other side of the ledger, it's named in a 2025 New York class action, which contains allegations only, and in a February 2026 Illinois Gaming Board letter. Our page on whether Sportzino is legit weighs these points in more detail.
What company runs Sportzino?
Sportzino is run by SSPS LLC, the company named in its own sweeps rules. A federal class action complaint filed in New York describes SSPS as part of the Blazesoft group, which also runs Zula Casino and Fortune Coins. Group ownership matters because policy changes, like the 2026 Illinois exit, tend to hit every brand at once. Compare the sister site in our Fortune Coins review.
What states is Sportzino not available in?
Sportzino's sweeps rules, version 2.4 from August 12, 2026, exclude 16 states: Idaho, Georgia, New York, Michigan, Washington, Nevada, Delaware, Connecticut, California, Louisiana, Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, New Jersey and Montana. Florida players face a win cap rather than a block. Oklahoma's ban took effect November 1, 2026, after that list was published, so expect changes. See which states ban sweepstakes casinos.
How much do you need to redeem at Sportzino?
You need at least 50 Sweeps Coins per redemption request, according to Sportzino's sweeps rules. Third-party reviews say redemptions go by bank transfer and typically take 3 to 5 days. Because the reported sign-up bundle gives 7 SC and the first purchase adds 10 SC, most new players are well short of the floor at the start. Read our Sportzino redemption guide for the steps.
Does Sportzino have a no deposit bonus?
Yes, in sweepstakes form: third-party reviews report 170,000 Gold Coins and 7 Sweeps Coins with no purchase, credited after you verify your account. It isn't a cash bonus, and you can't redeem it until you reach 50 SC and meet the site's rules. Our no deposit bonus explainer shows how this compares with no-deposit chips at real-money casinos.
Do I need a code to get Sportzino's sign-up coins?
No Sportzino promo code is confirmed in the records we hold, so we don't publish one. The reported sign-up coins arrive after verification without a code, and the first-purchase deal is shown at checkout. Codes for sweepstakes sites change often and some only work through affiliate links. Check our Sportzino promo code page and our general guide to bonus codes.
Can I redeem Sportzino prizes in crypto?
No crypto redemption option is published for Sportzino; the only payout route recorded is bank transfer. If you want prizes sent to a crypto wallet, a sweepstakes brand such as Stake.us, whose help center says Stake Cash can be redeemed in cryptocurrency, works differently. Read our Stake.us review for its excluded states and regulator record before choosing.
Why did Sportzino leave Illinois?
Sportzino stopped Sweeps Coins play in Illinois after the state's Gaming Board and Attorney General sent cease-and-desist letters dated February 4, 2026, which the board's release says included Sportzino. Trade press reported that Blazesoft brands ended SC play in Illinois by June 5, 2026. Illinois has no sweepstakes ban statute, so this was enforcement under existing law. See Illinois sweepstakes casinos.
Do I pay tax on Sportzino winnings?
Yes, redeemed prizes count as taxable income at the federal level. The IRS's W-2G instructions include sweepstakes among payment types with reporting rules; for 2026 the threshold is $2,000 where the prize is at least 300 times the wager. Prizes below that are still taxable. Keep records of purchases and redemptions, and read our page on the W-2G form.
Is Sportzino legal in Oklahoma?
No, Oklahoma's SB 1589 bans online casino games and dual-currency sweepstakes from November 1, 2026, even though Sportzino's August 12, 2026 rules don't list Oklahoma yet. The law amends 21 O.S. §941 and survived a veto: the governor vetoed it on May 11, 2026, and lawmakers overrode the veto on May 14. Reported liability reaches owners, platform providers and promoters, not only operators. Players in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Norman shouldn't rely on the outdated state list. Our Oklahoma gambling laws page explains the new rules.
Does Sportzino have an app?
Yes, third-party reviewers report Sportzino apps on both the App Store and Google Play, which is less common among sweepstakes brands than you might expect. Download only the listing published under the operator's name, and check that the developer details match SSPS LLC before you sign in. Your state's exclusion still applies inside the app, so an app download doesn't make Sportzino available where its rules block it. Exact app features and game counts aren't recorded. Our answer to is there a casino app explains how sweepstakes and offshore apps differ.
What games can you play on Sportzino?
Sportzino offers slot-style casino games from a long list of studios, according to third-party reviewers. The reported roster includes RubyPlay, 3 Oaks Gaming, Booming Games, Evoplay, Relax Gaming, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, Red Tiger, BGaming and in-house Sportzino Originals. No game count or title list is recorded, so check the lobby for a specific slot before buying coins. Game RTPs at sweepstakes sites aren't published in the information we hold. Our slot volatility guide explains why Sweeps Coin balances can swing so sharply.
Is Sportzino the same as Zula Casino?
No, Sportzino and Zula Casino are separate sites, but they belong to the same Blazesoft group and are run by sister companies. Sportzino names SSPS LLC in its rules, while Zula names SCPS LLC, and the same 2025 New York class action names both. They share a 50 SC redemption floor and bank-transfer payouts, and both ended Sweeps Coins play in Illinois by June 5, 2026. One difference: Zula's rules v2.7 of October 27, 2026 already exclude Oklahoma, while Sportzino's August list doesn't. Compare them in our Zula Casino review.
